Hi everyone - I lost 2lbs this week but am still bored! What can I do for dinner? Had curry and rice yesterday and the rest of the rice as a salad for lunch so don't want rice again.

I feel completely useless about trying to think of things!!

Lasagne? Pasta bake? Chunky veg stew? Quorn chilli? Potato gratin? Chips? Mashed swede/sweet potato/parsnip/carrot? Roasted veg? Cous cous with "stuff" in? Omlette?

... Any closer?

thanks - it seems to hot for shepherd's pie or something like that though doesn't it?Anyway, have decided on mushroom stroganoff and wedges with any veg I've got lurking in the fridge. Will let you know how it turns out

Yes, definately too hot. in that case you could make up a pasta salad now and have it cold later on?

Thats just inspired me, think I'll make potato salad, with low syn mayo, chives, dry fried onions, garlic & bacon in it. Mmmm!

Whew what is it with the heat today. I was naughty and had a feast - no idea how many syns is in that, but hopefully within a day's syns, do you think?

Have you seen the new mini cornettos - they are selling them in a 12 pack in tesco. Only diddy but chocolate or vanilla flavour are only 3 1/2 syns each.

Have just decided that we're having our first camping trip of the summer this weekend. Will be hard to stick to plan - not foodwise but I only sleep if i've had rather a lot of wine / vodka first

Blimey, 16 syns in a feast!

SWLurker, don't give up, you can still do it!
I've had all my HEs and 12 syns today, so 3 left to use. Might just save them until tomorrow... or I might have a Cadbury's highlight!
Today, I had a red day, had chicken stew made with passata, onion, swede, turnip, carrot and celery and lots of herbs. Was thinking I could probably feed this to ds when we start BLW as there is no added salt!

Hey all, I had a bad day yesterday but been good today so back on track I hope.....I wrote a list last night of why I need to lose weight, came out like this:-

To look / feel better about myself
To have more choice of nice clothes (summer clothes!)
To have more confidence
To try and stop myself getting all the overweight illnesses my mum/dad has (gallstones, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, thrombosis, back pain etc)
To be around for kids and be active for them (to be able to run around with them without feeling I'm gonna faint!)
To feel sexier

The list goes on but you get the idea - brought me back down to earth and I've had no syns today at all. I'll keep reminding myself of these things when necessary too.

Those that are struggling too - you CAN do it, I'm sure everyone has their own reasons, we wouldn't be here otherwise!

think it's worth us all getting those mini cornettos at 3 1/2 syns at least when yu go and grab ice creams and lollies for evryone else - you are havng something and you know whre you are. which i think accounts for alot mentally.

I've got weigh in tonight. Have stuck to it 100% but feel bloated for some reason

Argh! Ended the day with a can of CIDER yesterday so I was well over syns. I'm at a dangerous point now where I'm not focused. I'm going to draw up a massive food diary on A3 again today and write everything down on it, that tends to help me to stay on track.

I will stay away from the ice cream man today!! Even though he did have a lovely bum

Lurker, pmsl..think furball's come up with the best strategy to deal with your icecream man/lolly issue

I am still not in the right frame of mind this week, just want to snack, snack, SNACK. Why is it so bloody difficult for me to keep out of the bread bin and stop making WHITE toast (white bread, the ultimate SW syn, will have to go into hiding as MMB will be on the warpath).

On a more positive note, I went for a run last night thus refusing the temptation to sit out in the garden with a glass of wine, small steps and all that...

So typical I sit down to chart my progress for last 3 weeks ( not good) 1Ib on 1Ib on 1.5Ib on I can't remember the password I was only at class on Tuesday morning!! I remember it being something that I like eating. I am going to try really hard this week yesterday was my first good day in ages.
Can anyone remember the password?

well I started back on plan two weeks ago but had to go away and was not in control of the menus and I have put on two pound

today I am home and have written all my menus for the next week

I really do need to get this under control

I know I am not the only one who has been putting on - all I can be thankful for is I didnt put on more

right off to have some sw chips with my healthy B of cheese for lunch

Having lunch in an hour when my friend gets here and I don't think I can wait that long!
Have been out for a brisk walk, 1.5 miles to the SureStart centre where I take ds to Tiny Treasures (for the under 1's) and then another 1.5 miles back!
It has been soooo hot too!
