Think the password wad prawn or prawns this week. Am going to try the sw pizza for lunch (one with a smash base) if I can find the recipe.

MollieMooma · 08/05/2008 12:13

Hi girls do you mind if I join you? I went back to SW on Tuesday night, and need lots of motivation. I stopped going after m/c in January and have comfort eaten ever since, that has to stop now coz I really am unhappy with my size and all this nice weather is bringing out the skinny b*tches!

BouncingTurtle · 08/05/2008 12:25

Welcome MollieMoo!

INstead of buying Ice cream, you can freeze Mullerlights!

I'm thinking about getting some Cadbury's highlights and freezing that as well, anyone tried that?

babyjjbaby · 08/05/2008 12:30

OH I JUST HAD SOME SCRAMBLED EGG ON TOAST WITH SOFT CHEES MIXED IN YUMMY BUT 7 SYNS [GRIN]

toadette · 08/05/2008 12:55

welcome molliemoo

I've been cleaning all morning and decluttering so the exercise will hopefully pay off!

Having a red day today. Have decided I snack less on those because the protein fills me up. So far today I have had mullerlight for breakfast and a salad with sliced turkey breast and some olives for lunch. Don't know what to have for dinner..any quick and easy suggestions? Only thing I can think of at the moment is omelette and salad.

recipe to share

I have just made a huge frittata - free on green day

I often make one to take slices for lunch or have with a salad

I have used left over rice but you could use slices of potato or left over pasta equally as well (or even couscous)

I have used frozen mixed veg and some asparagus just zapped them in the microwave some sliced dry fried onions and mushrooms mixed the rice veg and onion/mushroom mix together and use and place in a non stick frying pan
beaten eggs with seasoning to taste and poured over the veggie rice mix cook slowly until cooked halfway through then pop under the grill to cook the top slowly tip out and allow to cool - cut into wedges I used four eggs and cut mine into 8 wedges

ring the changes with the veg you choose to add

its totally free on green and could use healthy extras of wholemeal pasta new pots with skins to be free on red then you could add in chicken or ham

makes great picnic or work lunch box food and is easy to eat with a salad for a quick evening meal

Worked out yesterday's syns and they come to a grand total of 30.5, eek! Will have to keep to several very low syn days to claw that back.

OK - just had a tin of Sainsbury's Good for You lentil and tomato soup for lunch. I looked it up on syns online and it said it was 10 syns
So I did the syn calculator instead and it came up with 2 syns - what's that all about then? I knew it would be pretty low - it's less than 1% fat and it's only got lentils and veg in it

SWlurker · 08/05/2008 14:00

AArgh!!! I have a banging headache that I woke up with and has not gone all day despite numerous painkillers. I've drunk loads of water and have eaten, I think its probably heat and my body detoxing from the last couple of weeks that is causing it but I am starting to crave the chocolate in the tuck shop to see if that will shift it

skankywitch · 08/05/2008 14:06

Thanks for password.

toadette · 08/05/2008 15:54

I can reccomend the sw version of pizza. Can't believe i've being doing sw since september and not had it before.

All you do it make some smash up and then spread it on a frylighted baking sheet into a pizza base shape. Bake in the oven until light brown then add toppings. I put on a spoonful of chopped toms. some fresh tomato, basil leaves, pineapple and a heA of chees. then put it under the grill. Can't belive i can have a whole pizza and it's just 1 heA and no syns. Now i just need to find a way to make garlic bread

nappyaddict · 08/05/2008 17:06

i might try that with some mashed potato. do you think i could mash it with water instead of milk or would it be disgusting?

the mango mousse was lush!!

babyjjbaby · 08/05/2008 17:16

that sounds nice might make the pizza we r having chicken potatoes and veg tonight

nappyaddict · 08/05/2008 17:17

btw the big strawberry calippos and twisters are only 4.5 syns and fab's are only 4 syns. happy about that cos twisters and fabs are my favourite!!

mini milks are 1.5 syns, mini twisters are 2.5 syns and mini calippos or 3.5 syns.

morrisons do traffic light lollies for only 1.5 syns!!! they also do mini tubs of ice cream too and they are 4.5 syns. get choc or vanilla cos the raspberry ripple ones are 7 syns.
they also sell 10 assorted fruit lollies for 2 syns each and orange juice lollies and rocket lollies for 2.5 syns. their stawberry splits are 5 syns.

Furball · 08/05/2008 17:19

bloody hell NA - have you swallowed the syn directory

nappyaddict · 08/05/2008 17:25

nope but i really fancied an ice lolly when i was out the other day. i didn't know the syns for anyone but i know sw says you shouldn't feel deprived so i chose a calippo thinking a fruit lolly would be better than anything with ice cream in it. (i really wanted a twister and decided against, but it turns out i could have had it ... typical!!)

when i got back i decided to look up the syns of all the lollies we usually buy so i wouldn't be caught out but didn't have to deprive myself either.

Tommy · 08/05/2008 19:14

you can do the mash with low fat fromage frais - that's nice and a bit better than water

Furball · 08/05/2008 20:28

1 1/2 lb off - just another 1 1/2 to go for first stone.

mum2sons · 08/05/2008 20:57

Stayed the same this week, not suprised but a bit gutted! (I have eaten out 4 times this week and had a massive pudding at our neighbours !)
My 13 year old thinks my quorn chilli is meat! Not going to tell him...

Ledodgy · 08/05/2008 21:03

I got my stone award last night it's taken me 13 weeks but am so pleased i've lost half of the 2 stone I put on whilst I was pregnant.

mum2sons · 08/05/2008 21:33

Well done for the stone award Ledodgy!
I am hoping to join you next week. Quorn mince at the ready!
x

BouncingTurtle · 09/05/2008 05:54

Well done ledodgy and furball!

Still going well... off to my mum's this weekend, she is doing spag bol for dinner... I can have the mince as a HeA and then I'll have to syn the sauce and oil. Must lay off the choccie biscuits as well.
That info on the ice lollies is useful, must get some in my freezer.
I actually went out on another walk, to my local Asda with my friend, about 2 miles there and back as we went the long way round.
Got to try and fit time in for a walk today, though taking ds to Baby Gym this afternoon.

nappyaddict · 09/05/2008 08:44

only lost a pound this week to be expected though as i haven't been responsible for cooking and i had burgers twice and steak and potato wedges last night when we went to the pub followed by a banana waffle

SWlurker · 09/05/2008 08:55

Well the headache turned into a migrane that even migarlieve wouldn't shift but its gone now - Managed to limit the choccy damage yesterday to 5 syns .

Thansk for the ice cream syns... I'm soooo going to have a twister when I next see a van!!

had my own version of the butterbean thingy last night - made it a bit hot but it was so good I had 3 bowls full (so much for ditching the large dinner bowls then - I just have more of the smaller ones instead!!)

Think my friend is out on a date tonight, so I'll use the time that I would have spent "being social" (read drinking my syns away) to batch cook for the weekend instead. Well, maybe I'll just have the one glass of vino to help . Will make some more risotto, not sure what else... maybe gazpacho, as I think its going to be nice weather?

I'm also going to get some salad in, as I feel like light food
