Ahh Ria I've missed you!

Dont' say that (one meal at a time), I will convince myself its ok to eat 4 healthy extras at each meal [rolls eyes]

SWVirgin · 03/07/2008 09:43

Been good since my last post, despite my mother offering pies and cakes like they are going out of fashion. Weighed myself this morning out of interest as I didn't get to Monday's WI. I'm still loosing, so I'm happy with that. In two weeks I've lost 10lbs.

I'm also going through a very stressful time at the moment Lurker, but keep reminding myself that if I keep to the diet it will be one consistent thing in my life and will be very rewarding in the end. Hope this helps to keep your chin up.

Trying the potato based pizza today with ham and pineapple. (SW magazine Jul 08) Will let you know how it goes. XOX

weblette · 03/07/2008 10:35

Wow swv, that's a brilliant loss. Someone in our group tried the pizza, said it was great but the base went soggy.

Do you all stay for group? I have done this time and it's really helped. Another huge plus is that they're a lovely bunch - a real mix of ages and very chatty.

justRia · 03/07/2008 11:36

Tis nice to be missed. I thought you would send me packing for crossing over to "the dark side" (WW)

jenniebee · 03/07/2008 13:57

Hi everyone, new to this thread,
Just finished my first week and lost 3 1/2 pounds. even better coz DH who is doing this with me only lost 1/2 pound!!! (sneaky takeaways at work admitted to group leader!)
Try the kids flan from this months mag if you havent already, its luuvverly

jenniebee · 03/07/2008 16:03

Does anyone have this weeks password?

Furball · 03/07/2008 21:06

pw = rounders

Furball · 03/07/2008 21:11

stayed the same somehow - even ate a meal before I went (normally I wait til after) and have literally eaten my weight in choccy and crisps the last 10 days??

not the kick up the bum I needed but have been threatened with 'it'll catch up with you if you are not careful' I have a food diary and hopefully I can get back on the right rails.

I have eaten a cheese sandwich every day on 'normal bread' - maybe the speil of needing calcium to help you loose weight is right????

jenniebee · 03/07/2008 22:31

Thankyou! i did that when i did slimming world last time, thought i got away with it then the next week at WI i put on 6lb!!! i nearly started crying!

Furball · 04/07/2008 06:45
Shock
SWlurker · 04/07/2008 08:27

morning!

I had a good day yesterday. 12 syns (Just can't stop at 1 curly wurly) but as long as its under 15 I'm happy- plus I've got an alcohol free weekend so no reason why I shouldn't stay on track this week!

nappyaddict · 05/07/2008 00:50

does anyone know how many syns are in the asda organic low fat yogurts, asda good for you split pot yogurts and asda good for you compote yogurts.

justRia · 05/07/2008 07:47

morning. I am on edge as DH in hospital today (only an arthroscopy, but even so). Can't face breakfast...

justRia · 05/07/2008 22:43

Can anyone recommend a non-yogurty yougurt, preferably syn-free. I can just about stomach Morrisons low fat French set ones, but I really don't like yogurt.

TIA.

Hi Christie

Can you stomach ryvita? 3 of those with some cheese triangles or cottage cheese and a bowl of salad and an apple and/or yogurt for pudding.

Or, what I do quite often is if I have rice the night before, make a bit more and add peppers, spring onions, cucumber, tomatoes and a bit of low fat coleslaw or dressing or tuna for a HE. You can also do this with couscous and pasta

or soup in a flask? (I find this fills me up at lunchtime)

FWIW, I don't go to SW classes either but get weighed at toddler group. I find this thread very helpful and sometimes buy the magazine to get more recipe ideas.

Furball · 06/07/2008 22:21

course you haven't christie! we're all off scoffing the cupboard contents

Did you get into the ways of SW? It is good once you get your head round the fact that you have to eat to loose weight, obviously only food on the plan, but hey.

We could do with another brainstorm on meal ideas if anyone would like to post.

don't blame you on the ryvita!!

justRia · 06/07/2008 23:51

Soups with pulses/pasta are good. Pasta'n'sauce. Isn't canned ravioli free on green?

I had a perfect day til 9.30pm and now desreve to be kicked off the thread

Back to it tomorrow.

sparetire · 07/07/2008 10:22

Any one on where i can download syn values for M&S count on us ready meals or Sainsburys ready meals

Furball · 07/07/2008 10:40

If you go to SW website - you can sign up as a memeber. You'll need this weeks password, which I'm sorry I can't remember - but somebody will? Then they have all the syns by manufacturer there

Tommy · 07/07/2008 10:50

I think the password is rounders
good luck sparetyre - ready meals don't work well on SW I've always found

SWlurker · 07/07/2008 16:34

blast * and other **'d words!

WHY can't I pull it all together and just stick to the plan!!!!

I just can't get motivated to be good!!! [scowl]I'm going to take a break from class and maybe change my diet for a while I think.(shock horror I know, but while its hot I might as well try to cut down in quantity of food, then maybe when I get fed up of that I'll appreciate SW for what it is!)

Hi Christie, good to see you! I'll stick around visiting this thread occasionally until I can get my head into gear.
