Hi SWV, welcome from SWL!

Don't pay any attention to me quite yet, I am still not being very good. Off to class tonight with my tail between my legs, have been bad for 1 week and skipped class, then this week I have been ill so consoled myself with (whispers) chocolate and cider...

BACK ON TRACK SOON, HONESTLY!

sticktoit · 24/06/2008 10:48

Hey lurker - sorry to hear you've been ill......makes it hard doesn't it!! How did your date go ??

SWlurker · 24/06/2008 16:14

Hey Sticktoit

Am DREADING WI tonight, but I know I must go to get back on track. I have done nothing but nibble on healthy naughties if that makes sense, must have had about 10 HEb portions today!!

Had food poisoning from a chinese naughty on saturday - that'll teach me! Date went V well though thanks, spent most of the weekend with him

sticktoit · 24/06/2008 18:47

Good luck Lurker!!

andyrobo237 · 24/06/2008 20:54

Been and got weighed - lost a pound - yipee - not bad for me!!!

Anyone know what the password is - I forgot to ask! Only 2 stayed to group tonight - lazy lot!

Making quiche later this week - cottage cheese and eggs mix - sounds ok!

SWlurker · 25/06/2008 08:29

Oh NO! 4.5 lbs on for me can't say I don't know where it came from though. Felt gutted and the woman who weighed me in (not the leader) was a bit scathing about it which was so I didn't stay to class as couldn't be bothered with her glowering (what ever happened to being supportive?!) but at least I have been, and fingers crossed I think it has been the kick up the backside I needed to get back on track.

Mmm Andyrobo you've just reminded me about quiches, I like them, think I might buy myself a pasta & sauce and do one with that. I got paid today so I can finally do a big SW friendly shop, phew!

Sorry, I did see the password but didn't make a note of it, will email consultant and ask her.

A bit late I know but on Monday I lost 4lbs. I wasn't as pleased as I thought I would be though. I had heard people had lost 5 or more their first WI and I like always have strived to be the best and was a little disappointed. But this has been good for me as it has drived me further to get some excersize.

I've been good again this week, but have found that there are a lot of left overs from last week and so I have been having them mostly this week so far.

I went swimming yesterday at the local public swimming pool and was absolutely shocked at its condition. I can't believe the government is pushing people to do more swimming, when the pools needs cleaning up. The price was also astronomical. £3 for half hour. Needless to say I think I came away with more than I went with.

I didn't get the password this week as I also didn't stay to class. I had to rush off and get to the cinema to watch SATC. Loved it!

Lurker - you need to rise above people like that at group. I find it is probably jealousy at the root of most abruptness.

SWlurker · 26/06/2008 11:24

Ahh thanks girls. P'd off with myself for having 20 syns yesterday (bloomin' having to grab something on the run for you) but the huge tesco shop is a'coming tonight and I will stock up on a mixture of speed foods and things to grab and go. Having 1 syn today so will make up for yesterday's splurge. Why is is it so much easier to put on than to loose?!!

The stupid thing at the moment is for whatever reason I am feeling more confident than I have done in years, despite being at nearly my heaviest. I know thats a good thing, but I wonder if thats why I keep self-sabotaging - because I'm not that motivated to get slim to feel good about myself. Don't get me wrong, I have my moments and definately want to be slim rather than a size 20, and last night I was P#d off when shopping to find clothes to fit, but its so weird not having the "lacking self-confidence" motivation there.

SWV that is a brilliant loss, no need to feel bad about it at all, stop being hard on yourself!

sticktoit · 27/06/2008 09:45

Morning all

How is everyone getting on??

I'm having a quite good week. It's is an awful day here in S.Wales today - just makes me want to eat - lol!!

Anyone catch the password yet please??

xx

SWlurker · 27/06/2008 09:48

Grill!

I am going ok thank you. slight change of plan to 1 syn day yesterdy - a naughty Amaretto but came in at 10 syns yesterday so won't lose sleep over it.

Tommy · 27/06/2008 20:06

hi everyone - lost a pound this week which I am trying not to be disappointed about as I've lost at least 2 every other week so far but at least it's in the right direction.

Am getting a bit bored again with food so if anyone has some interesting green day recipes, I'd be very grateful

bonnibaby · 28/06/2008 10:39

Hi everyone,
Mind if i join you?
I have been doing SW since Jan and was doing well but lost motivation about 6 weeks ago and have just been messing about since.
Need to lose half a stone to get back to my pre PG weight and back in my clothes!

SWVirgin · 01/07/2008 11:01

Bad news Bad news

I have had a terrible week last week, as it was my sister's birthday and she came to stay. I had two take aways, birthday cakes and numerous other syns. Such a naughty girl need my wrists slapping.
And then to top it all off, last night as I was going to SW I got a flat tire. I'm sure my leader thought I was trying to pull a fast one. Its the typical excuse isn't it.
Anyway I've given myself a stern talking to and gonna get back on the wagon this week. Walking past a clothes shop with some gorgeous dresses in this morning has made me realise I need to do this!!! I would love to be able to wear dresses again.

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Tommy · 01/07/2008 13:58

all been a bit quiet here this week hasn't it?

Weigh in for me this morning and I lost a pound and a half
I am still a bit bored though and need to find something different to make - will have to have a trawl through my recipe books.

I hope everyone else is going OK

Furball · 01/07/2008 14:27

well done on the loss tommy!

Me? I'm in dire straits....got my 1 1/2 stone award a few weeks back went away with girlfriends for the weekend and booked a holiday for last thursday as we were out for the day and i didn't know what timne I would be back. Result = I;ve eaten christ knows what, I'llbe lucky to keep my stone award. I'm going to ask for a food diary when I go and fill that in religously and try and get it back. I've done so frigging well and now I just can't stop myself from those silly extras that aren't even worth it taste wise that shoot you over to a gain.

Furball · 01/07/2008 14:28

I've even bought clothes that are slightly too small in the sale and at this rate I'll never get into them

Tommy · 01/07/2008 15:59

you do get to a point where you reach a plateau I've found. You have to go back to how you felt when you started and what motivated you then.

I think they say something like if you had a slip up, don't write off the whole day. You can start again at the next meal. I ate a whole takeaway pizza on Friday evening and a choc cheesecake but made sure I got back on track on Saturday and I still lost this week so I reckon there's hope for most people!

weblette · 01/07/2008 17:49

Afternoon all, mind if I join in?

I'm in week 7 of SW and have lost a stone so far. At WI today I'd stayed the same but after all the rubbish I ate at the weekend I consider it a small miracle

sticktoit · 02/07/2008 21:07

Gosh it's ever so quiet on this thread lately - heeellllooooo - are we all sticking to the plaaaaaannnnnn???!!!

Hi to weblette and well done on your stone off! Also well done Tommy, hope you've found some good recipes!

Furball, how you getting on??

Is this rain driving everyone to the biscuit tin !!!

bonnibaby · 02/07/2008 21:24

Hi ,
Ive been doing SW since Jan,lost 3 lbs short of 4 stone of babyweight so far but still some more to go!
Im finding it so hard at the min to keep going!

justRia · 02/07/2008 23:01

Hi guys, I wonder if you will let me join in again?

I got in a bit of a rut before (DH has been off work sick for nearly a year now and I was battling on with my depression) and bogged down with the DCs and just felt that trying to lose weight was taking over my life and needed time I didn't have to spare etc.

I also got it into my head (trying WW) that SW was the faddiest of all fad diets (ok, so I don't like smash pizza, but that's no excuse for silly comments, I know it works because it's worked for me before).

Anyway, I'm going to give it another go, I hope I can join in for support. I can't afford classes as DH still not able to work, but having a thread to keep me going might help. I am not fully focussed as having to rely on what I've already got in the house for a couple of days, but trying as best I can is better than not trying at all.

Furball · 03/07/2008 07:11

I'm enduring weigh in tonight - am expecting huge gain over the two weeks I haven't been. I've gone mad. bizare thing is, I 've not even enjoyed most of what I've stuffed in my mouth. I actually like SW fresh good wholesome tasty food, so why I this I don't know.

I need the leader to get my bum and give me a huge kick up it.

SWlurker · 03/07/2008 08:55

Hi all newbies/rejoiners

I'm re-joining this thread myself, i've been doing terribly recently. Just seem to have lost my motivation for slimming, as I seem to be happy at this weight. Its great that I'm not unhappy - but I am nearly obese so need to lose weight, and I did love being slim when SW worked for me in the past and I shed nearly 4 stone.

Yesterday was an ok day, apart from I don't knwo how many syns cranberry juice light is (yep, its for THAT problem, which hasn't helped me to stick to it)

On top of that life is quite stressful at the moment, so sometimes dieting is the last thing I want to do.

BUT its one day at a time, and I am determined to lose weight. So today is a new day and I pledge to myself that I will stick to the plan 100%.

justRia · 03/07/2008 09:14

I think one day at a time is a good plan. One meal at a time if that's what it takes
