Hi everyone

Nice new thread for us all x

Yingers74 · 02/06/2008 21:37

doh! thought it was a weightwatchers thread!

mullerlight · 02/06/2008 22:11

hello all and a welcome to Pecka!

Hurray! weigh in tonight and lost 2 and half pounds. Really made me feel good after last weeks 1 pound gain. Not entirely sure what I did but have a sneaky feeling it was weighing my healthy extras and drinking revolting skimmed milk (not sure if I can continue drinking that watery milk). So, have lost 5 pounds in 3 weeks so want to lose 2 next week to get half stone in a month. Only another 2 stone to go.

How is everyone getting on?

Well done SW for avoiding choc 9 could murder a galaxy or huge box of maltesers right now).

sticktoit · 02/06/2008 22:27

Well done muller - I managed 2lbs off tonight so was chuffed with that as I've had about 5 weeks with only 1lb a week!

Did you catch the password, I didn't stay tonight and forgot to ask!!

mullerlight · 02/06/2008 22:32

Well done to you too- What do you think you did differently? (god, sound like a slimming world consultant)

Password is lentil

sticktoit · 02/06/2008 22:47

Cheers muller!

I've been trying to eat different things and this week (although might seem like the norm to some) sliced fresh tomato, baked salmon, rocket, using nuts as a HEb and a little more activity - like walking more, using wii-fit etc.

But TBH, I stopped taking my pill last week because I was convinced it was slowing my weight loss down - and this week, we have the proof! Just have to make sure it doesn't lead to more babies [shudder at thought]!!!!

BouncingTurtle · 03/06/2008 06:42

Was very good yesterday... just got to keep it up!
Pecka - hello!!!! How are you?

Furball · 03/06/2008 06:53

well done on the losses girls.

I after losing 1/2 lb each of the last 2 weeks have decided to throw more red days at it. We'll see on thursday if it's worked

mullerlight · 03/06/2008 06:55

Sticktoit- Am sure it takes a while for the pill to leave your system as when I came off mine a few years ago didn't start to see results until a month or 2 later. No more little ones for you then?
How old is your little one/s? I have a 15 month boy -. Was stone and a half overweight when I fell pregnant and then put on 3 stone with him (ate way too much) Lost 2 stone by the time he was 3 weeks old so now a couple of stones need to come off- like NOW lol
x

mullerlight · 03/06/2008 06:57

Didn't see your message there Furball. I have heard of a few people that lose more on red days! Reckon some people get a bit bunged up and bloated on green days from all the pasta etc.

Furball · 03/06/2008 07:10

not buged up as such mullerlight, all bran see to that

but just felt I seem to be eating the same week in week out and I'm bored and it's reflecting on the scales.

mullerlight · 03/06/2008 07:17

yes i know what you mean. I have mainly green days as I find them easier to do but going to start doing 3 days green and 4 days red and see if that speeds things up.
Does anyone put on near their star days (period)Hve been known to put on up to 5 pounds in that week. Damn.

sticktoit · 03/06/2008 08:06

Morning all

Muller - no more kids for me no......I have an 8 year old and a 3 year old. Both are amazing but hard work and I hated being pregnant. Plus one was 9lbs 12oz and the other 11lbs 1oz....soooo as you can imagine I piled on weight which I am still trying to shift!! I'll just see how it goes with the pill thing but I am adamant it wasn't helping.

Furball - I agree to throwing in red days also. I now have alternate red/green days and it is much better choice wise, even if green days are my fav.

Going to aerobics this morning so I'll be knackered later!!

SWlurker · 03/06/2008 08:42

Morning campers

Hmmmm I sortofhadalatenightsnack - pasta and pesto. Now pesto isn't massive syns but I really could have done with a zero syns day yesterday as have had to many this week. My fault for not having easy to grab snacky type food in the house. Oh well, at least it was wholegrain!!! Hope tonight brings a loss.

At least the upcoming week should be good on syns - I have to detox from alcohol/sweets/chocolate/caffine as of tomorrow, through to sunday night, I am doing a reiki course at the weekend and they say its most effective to learn if you cut right back on those things. I am Sooooo looking forward to it, and am pretty excited that as long as I don't stray, keeping me on the straight and narrow next week should result in a nice weight loss!

mullerlight · 03/06/2008 09:56

SW- Good luck with the reiki course. I am in the 'holistic/beauty industry' and love it. Yet to do reiki but do reflexology-hopi ear- and vein removal etc. Hope it goes well.

Bunch · 03/06/2008 12:48

Can anyone tell me if Quorn products are free? 3 years ago when I did SW they were but just looked them up in 2008 directory and I think they have syns?

BouncingTurtle · 03/06/2008 13:39

Hi Bunch

Quorn mince & pieces are free, most of the sausages are free but everything else is synned, I think.

PeckaRolloverAgain · 03/06/2008 14:18

Hi Bouncing How you doing on SW? I must pop over to our postnatal and update - I still read all the time but terrible for not posting!

Yesterday I stuck to SW 100% and Im on track again today - been shopping to stock on the SW essentials (spray oil, eggs, beans, pasta, veg, fruit, laughing cow and muller light!!!)

I seem to only think about green days - I remember from last time red days left me a bit hungry - think I might stick to green until Im back in the swing of it and lost a few pounds.

I lost all of my weight from DD with SW, with DS it all came off quite easily naturally and now with baby number 3 I lost loads at first and have started putting more on!

Feeling good about though and I know it works so just need to stick to it......

Tommy · 03/06/2008 14:37

hi everyone - lost 2.5 lbs this weeek which I'm really pleased about because half term was a bit tricky with all the lunches out and snacks...

Ayway - back on track today. Does anyone know about Special K mini breaks? The online calculator says 5 syns but I was wondering if they could be counted as a HE B? (Hope so - as they are yummy)

BouncingTurtle · 03/06/2008 15:23

Hi Pecka, the weight is coming off slowly, lost 11.5lbs so far. At least I'm not putting it back on!

Pollyanna · 03/06/2008 15:30

My first weigh in last night - lost 3.5lb!

Does anyone else not really eat on the day of their weigh in?

I've just had an oatcake, and afterwards realised it was 2 syns - what a waste of a syn

babyjjbaby · 03/06/2008 17:18

hi everyone good losses i haven't got any scales at the moment but haven't been sticking to it enought so am going to try harder haven't been to bad last 2 days but haven't been eating enough iykwim

toadette · 03/06/2008 17:27

Hi everyone, I'm just going to shuffle in and stand at the back with my head hung in shame

I have had a disastrous couple of weeks when I have eaten and drank whatever I fancied and have a 4lb weight gain to show for it. I am back committed to the plan 100% from today and hope to shed those extra pounds asap. Have joined one of the other diet threads too for extra motivation as I need as much as I can get.

Started back today on a red day so low fat sausages (1 syn each), egg and tomatoes for breakfast and some wholemeal crackerbread with laughing cow light for lunch.
