Anyone else out there with 5 plus stones to lose? Who fancies doing a weekly weigh in with me?

I have got really overweight in the last couple of years and would love to meet some others who might be trying to cut down but not exactly dieting. Where do you start when there is so much to lose? Any tips on evening snacking? TIA

oh and had a crap day today but food has been good (crap day personal wise, so normally reach for the choc!)

Breakfast - Honeydew melon, banana and apple with cup of black tea with slice of lemon in

Lunch - 2 slices of dry toast, two dry fried egggs, two small splodges of tommy sauce and pepper.

Dinner - half tin of beans(i normally eat full one[bush], but shared tonight)with little bit of grated cheese (i normally chuck a block[bluck] in the pan so it melts into the beans!) and beans.

Snacks - some grapes

as id lost 6lb by thurs/fri last week then it was same on monday..ive decided to take it up a notch this week..will reduce the bread/toast again as thats all i seem to have things with and have babies for rest of week which means extra walking with buggy

thanks pinkchick, I was more concerned people would think I wasn't overweight enough, dunno why!!!!

so today:-
breakfast - muesli
lunch - chicken sandwich
snack - mcflurry
dinner - falafel and rosti plus butternut squash covent garden soup.

thatsa nice round number..have you been that weight before and want to get back to it?...

I want to be 10st 7lb, dont know why, seems like a good enough number..right now i weigh 16st 3 after already losing 6lb this last week..so looooooooong way to go for me

yes, it was the highest weight at which I felt slender. Haven't been that weight for about 8 years though, have been 10 stone about 4 years ago.

at my lowest when i met dp i was about 12st 7lb and i was very confident then, so even that would be cool

Pinkchick, it does seem long doesn't it - try having just under 10 stone to lose!!! That was me in January. Now I have only 5 ish left to go! And if I can do it, anyone can!

porridge this morning -

home made carrot and sweet potato soup - and its yummy and very filling!

im off to the inlaws tomorrow and she will make sure i eat properly as she is obsessed with food!

well today i think ive eaten too much cheese..

Brekkie was two weetabix with ss milk

Lunch (was split today as had two nursery drop offs/pick ups within 45 mins of each otehr so mindees had lunch in park cafe and i was hungry too) i had 1/2 a cheese and tomato toasty and now we've just got home(obv i wasnt full)ive just had 2 slices of dry toast with grilled cheese, onion and tomatoes on with salad..

No snacks but am finding it a bit harder today, i wont give up and tbh i wouldnt thank you for some choc, but think cos im a bit stressed im in a kind of picky mood

Cheese and choc ARE my down fall, so will choose wisely tonight..justa bit fed up that scales arn't showing any diff to this time last week

my downfall is cheese aswell and crisps bread and now chocolate!!
tnite its salad with fish and couscous - im loving the ainsley harriet cous cous its gorgeous!

Jaz - i'm hooked on Ainsley's couscous!! I have loads in my cupboard and will eat it with anything or even on its own. DP thinks i'm obsessed with it.....

Ags - well done on your humongous weight loss so far!! Very commendable!

I need to lose around 8 stone i think. At the moment i'm 18 stone 10.5 pounds but would be happy to be 10.10.

how many points is the whole box of couscous?? i love the mushroom one and spicy one and dare i say it, but its filling!!

yknow though im not loosing anything at the mo, but i do reckon that when i was doing the soups the weight was slowly coming off!

i would make zero points soups, like greenbaeans tomoatos carrots and cabbage , well anything really - and the weight was coming off.

i think ive hit some dead wall as im not going up or down! but i am eating alot of chocolate and im not writing this down im sort of erasing this from my brain which is bad! and tell my fatfighters leader that i dont know why im not loosing - at the end of the day im only fooling myself - i need some sort of goal at the end of it, its no good me buying a dress and saying ill get in it as it will just hang there in my wardrobe, i need something to aim for and dont know what, luxury items like jewellery cosmetics etc i love anyway so wont deny myself anything - any suggestions?

and did anyone watch itv tnite about the big babies and big mummies???

Jaz if you're eating a lot of chocolate but not counting it, then surely that's your answer! lol!

As for points for couscous, a whole packet of Ainsley couscous ranges from 5.5 to 6 points so it's very do-able!!

Why not set yourself a goal, for e.g. say "i want to use xx pounds by xx date and then when i do it, i will treat myself to a spa weekend" or something like that??? Just an idea?!!

yes, sounds like the chocolate might be the answer. if you are fed up at the plateau stage, maybe add in an extra planned snack so you don't end up just going for the choccie.
