First of all love your username (I'm assuming it's a Barbie reference?)!
I know that feeling of being stuck and just fluctuating up and down. So I'll try to tell you in as much detail as possible what helped this month!
First thing I did was cut sugar for three days - I don't know if you eat a lot of it but I do. I just had protein and fruit and veg essentially. When I had a craving I would ask myself - why is that. Am I hungry or am I using sugar as an emotional/other kind of crutch and then thinking about that just made the cravings...slip away! I decided kind of not to go back to eating sugar most days (which I was having) after the first three, but not as strict (will eat bread etc). At the same time I started drinking decaf coffee/tea after my first cup of the day, and I drink quite a few cups of that even in the eve!
The final thing I've been doing is at dinner, instead of eating a heaped plate of food that I've made (e.g. Bolognese) I will have 1/4 of the plate be the meal and the rest be either steamed veg or salad. I go to bed really full. I've been going to the gym maybe 2 times a week, just doing weights (I do goblet squats, arm rows, deadlifts and pushups 4 sets of 10 each).
That's it! The weight is coming off fast! One thing I'd say is the way I've done it is the way that makes it super sustainable to me. I cannot maintain calorie counting, I'm too busy and I find it stressful. Basically just ensuring that I'm eating less than I was, was the start. I would eat normal days food, minus the sugar. Then normal days food, but in evening less meal, more greens. that's it.
After the first couple pounds, it really clicked. Oh an I weigh myself everyday to observe the general trend instead of weighing every week and being blindsided by a fluctuation and losing motivation. I also accepted that it would be slow going (so it's been faster than I expected!). But yeah and generally treating myself with kindness (in my own head I mean, just being positive about stuff has really helped).
After 12 months + of stagnating around 10 st 7-12 I cannot tell you how much better I feel and I wish I'd started sooner.
Hope this helps at all, any questions welcome!
