no idea how. have been shit but have just finished my period so maybe that's how.
am back on track today . i promise.[times running out..]

beansprout · 17/03/2008 08:57

Posted on the other thread (I think this is week 4!) but scales have told me I have gained 2 lbs. Really not sure how that happened so am a bit cheesed off. Thought I had a good week. Boo.

Buda · 17/03/2008 09:02

Well done that Goat! Was going to do this myself but got sidetracked.

I think I have lost half a pound! Not great is it really? My total loss in 4 weeks is 2.5 lbs. Which is of course better than a gain of the same but still not good really. Haven't been good on the exercise front or the food front really.

However DH is away all week so that will mean no booze and i will try harder on the food front.

themildmanneredbunny · 17/03/2008 09:03

am phoning up today to book my induction at local gym.friend goes and it's friendly and cheap so what the hell.

didn't buy any naughty stuff at shops yesterday so will try and get back on track this week. have been terrible really.

SheherazadetheGoat · 17/03/2008 09:08

i made soup last night to stop myself coming back from work and stuffing myself with bread. hope it works!

Blimey what a week last week, sounds like everyone is struggling. I stayed the same this week which is ok considering my scales said I'd put on 2 lbs on Sat! I'll grab the list and put it up from the other thread.

goat lost feck all and actually put on the weight she lost in the first week due to not being able to run frantically to work off all the cake she is unable to stop herself from eating.

will do better thsi week!

OP posts:
sagacious · 17/03/2008 09:24

Half a pound off ,,Gah ,, I suppose thats good considering weekends are pretty much eat/drink what I like (within reason)

keepcalmandcarryon · 17/03/2008 10:18

weighed myself this morning, am now 10st 13lb. This is a 4lb GAIN on what I weighed last Monday but exactly the same as what I weighed on Tues and Weds last week. Have lost 3lb overall since we started. Will have to stick at it this week.

Feel the same, Beansprout - this is what gets me down about weighing yourself, you can feel so dejected or elated by what can be such a fluctuating figure affected by hormones and fluid levels. I am now really grumpy that I have this 4lb 'gain'!! Buggery buggery BOLLOCKS (superfluous emoticon...) Feel like giving it all up but BLOODY DETERMINED NOT TO.

Have tried measuring myself in past but find that similarly random - will have to dig out a pair of jeans that nearly fit and try those on once a week as well.

Well done all for keeping going - and impressed at the soup making, Gaot, that's brilliant, very well organised.

keepcalmandcarryon · 17/03/2008 10:19

sorry, Goat

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 17/03/2008 10:49

KCandCO - GAH! That is so annoying and de-motivating isn't it. We should all (me first, I'm TERRIBLE about this) swear to only weigh ourselves once a week, I step on the scales every morning and most evenings, what's the point? It just p*sses me off but it's like an addiction! Maybe just moving my scales to somewhere inconvenient would help, at the moment they are in our bathroom right next to the toilet.

I'm setting us all an new target (what me, bossy?!) The aim this week is to lose 2lbs. That's it, no fannying around this week. If you need to go chocolate mad, do it on Sunday when it's too late to affect (or is that effect?) your weigh in on Monday! Ok. That's it. Get soup making (well done goat [smile}) buy some salad and STAY AWAY FROM THE BISCUITS AND BOOZE

AnAngelWithin · 17/03/2008 11:19

hello all. sorry i haven't been around. been so busy with the wedding which was on saturday. all went ok. anyway, this morning i am still 12stone 3 which isn't bad considering the amount i have eaten over the weekend!! at least i haven't gained which is what i expected. i am so tired today. really feel lethargic like i need to rest. need to find motivation from somewhere!

piratecat · 17/03/2008 11:24

hiya,
as expected, I have actually put on a pound. A very stressful/upsetting week in our house, and things went down hill from thurs with the planning what to eat, and making sure i had enough healthy stuff in.

Having many probs with dd and ex dh so it all came crashing around this weekend. I havent eaten much tbh, but pro picked at the wrong things, as havent made any decent meals for days.

I am starting again.

Yet i must remember I have lost 4lbs in 3 weeks, so its something!!!.

beansprout · 17/03/2008 11:30

Thanks KeepCalm, you describe exactly how I feel. Have been very good and only weigh myself on Mondays but of course, now want to weigh myself tomorrow as I keep thinking, "some mistake, surely...?!"

Well done to everyone who has lost some weight though!!

Niecie · 17/03/2008 11:44

The generous interpretation is that I have stayed the same (I didn't weight myself in optimum conditions) but the ungenerous is that has gone up half a pound. Ho hum.

Well done to all those who have managed to lose something.

for all those who haven't.

Anybody got any ideas how we can give ourselves a kick start this week to leave some free calories available for the easter egg bonanza at the weekend?

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 17/03/2008 11:49

Soup! It's a freebie points wise (if you're working along weight watchers lines) it's filling, easy to make and takes a while to eat so you feel like you are full. If anyone has any sweet treats ideas that aren't full of fat or sugar let me know, that's where I fall down EVERY single time.
It's just not in me to think 'oh, i'm hungry, I'll have a carrot'

Buda · 17/03/2008 12:14

DANCES - sugar free jelly!

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 17/03/2008 12:54

I do have that sometimes Buda - it's fab, no relation to fruit AT ALL! BUT I try not to have it too much because it contains lots of those nasty sweeteners Bugger it.

themildmanneredbunny · 17/03/2008 12:55

frozen grapes

bellabelly · 17/03/2008 13:33

Phew, couldn't find the thread... Well, after a totally crap week (didn't manage a single alcohol-free day last week and ate a stupid meringue yesterday - WHY?! - and did no exercise over weekend) I have bizarrely lost 2 pounds and a quarter. And yes I know it's probably a fluke and my weight will soar up tomorrow but I feel a bit more motivated to start again "properly" today. And yes, I also know it's a bit sad to count the quarter of a pound!!! .

Had a hospital appt this morning and cycled there and back so that is my exercise for the day, I reckon. Well done to everyone - think we all had a really tough week last week - maybe just cos the novelty had worn off a bit? I am finding this thread very helpful though - my mother came to stay last week and very sweetly bought me a packet of chocolate eggs - couldn't face admitting on here that I'd had some so they remain untouched, hoorah!

knat · 17/03/2008 14:38

yes i had an appalling week last week gained 3lbs (although thought it would be a lot more) back on teh straight and narrow this week - well thats the plan!
