no more getting weighed! once a week or you will go crazy!!!!!!

sagacious · 20/03/2008 14:01

I weigh myself every morning
I know I shouldn't but I'm 1/2 a pound lighter than yesterday and it cheers me up

Then it depresses me at the weekend ...can I change my official weigh in day to Friday (I'm so much better on a Friday)

DANCESwithaMuffinTop · 20/03/2008 14:03

Hee hee! I know what you mean sagacious, Monday is a terrible weigh-in day but at least it kick starts you for the rest of the week!

Niecie · 20/03/2008 16:26

I can't resist having a mid week weigh in either. Can't help it with my shiny new scales. I want to try them out and the children are a bit fed up of me trying to weigh them all the time.

Just wish the scales weren't so honest!

However, I seem to have lost about 2lb this week so far but what do you reckon the chances are of it still being lost by Monday, in the face of extreme temptation and Easter eggs.

I am a bit bored of chocolate though.
Never thought I would be saying that but having given up all other sweets and biscuits for Lent my only treat is chocolate and I would much prefer some pic 'n' mix.

I have resorted to eating apples in the evening just because I fancy something fruity! What a weird concept that is - eating actual fruit instead of fruit flavoured things.

Wish I could say it would last passed the end of Lent but I am sure that I am going to fall off the wagon big time.

We must be strong!!

sagacious · 20/03/2008 17:23

If I stand leaning backwards, after the 1st wee of the day, before I've eaten and drunk anything, naked as the day I was born I have lost 2lb's this week

If you can arrange to have a poo too it could be 3lbs!

bellabelly · 21/03/2008 15:30

@ sagacious! Am feeling quite smug today - went out for dinner last night and had salad with my steak instead of chips. And didn't even feel deprived when everyone around me was having chips. And I had cheese instead of pudding. If you knew me in RL, you would know that this is VERY good progress for me!!!

bellabelly · 23/03/2008 12:47

I will not eat chocolate eggs, i will not eat chocolate eggs, I will not eat chocolate eggs....

Actually, yesterday I ate two of those mini-eggs that my mum bought me while she was here and, although they did taste nice, they really made my teeth hurt!

Niecie · 23/03/2008 20:41

How's everybody doing with the temptation of Easter eggs?

I have resisted but I don't know how long that can go on for.

I shall have to keep reminding myself that it is weigh-in day tomorrow and I might actually have lost something. I don't want to blow it all at the last minute!

keepcalmandcarryon · 23/03/2008 21:10

neicie hang in there - well done!

I have had ONLY 3 x 1" squares of choc, one each from each of DC's eggs (they offer, it's so sweet)

Have finally managed to get all the effing inlaws to NOT give the DCs thousands of eggs, so there is virtually no choc in the house this year. Quite an achievement, has only taken eight years Makes life easier if there is less to resist.

Hi all. Haven't been around much. Have been 'off' diet. Except for yesterday as I was sick all day. Was up in the night (Sat) throwing up and felt rotten all day yesterday. Had one slice of toast all day till evening when I had some chicken risotto as I was starving by then.

Good thing is I weighed this morning and am down to 16st 1.5lbs! I was 16 st 7 when we started.

Am about to have a cooked breakfast though.

keepcalmandcarryon · 24/03/2008 08:32

well done buda!

Buda · 24/03/2008 10:21

I don't think I can take any credit as I was really bad foodwise and haven't exercised. It will all go straight back on I suspect.

bellabelly · 24/03/2008 10:34

Poor Buda, that sounds really horrible - glad you are feeling bit better now. Hope the weight stays off for you!!!

Just weighed self and think I haven't lost anything this week. BUT have just started period so am putting it down to that, rather than the booze and the 2 chocolate mini-eggs .
