Daily weigh in thread

EatingTillIDie · 21/12/2023 12:37

I'm doing daily weigh ins, I find it more motivating. It might not be for everyone but if anyone would like to join in with posting every day your weight and loss, and how the day has gone - to stay in focus. Good luck!

Well done to all who have lost weight

Today's weight: 18st 9.2lb

That's a loss of 0.8lb since yesterday.

So still going down yay!

For those asking me how I'm losing:

Calorie Counting

Intermittent Fasting

Orlistat (from GP but you can buy it online)

🤣🤣🤣

If I move my scales to the other side of the bathroom - they weigh differently... constantly differently. So I always weigh in the same place, same time and same state

spackleplumb · 04/01/2024 19:27

@MikeRafone I do the exact same- weigh with the scales placed on the same tile every single time or it ends up too muddled. I also have to add that a weekly weigh in is far more reliable as an indicator of progress than daily but I get that it's up to each person.

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 04/01/2024 19:36

Yes my scales have a set location too, I also weigh same time (or as close to as possible) and same clothing or lack there of.

Progress so far:
Day 1 - 225lb
Day 2 - 225lb
Day 3 - 223lb
Day 4 - 222 lb

EatingTillIDie · 04/01/2024 19:58

I can be overheard swearing at my scales before I go to bed. But I like weighing then because I always have a loss in the morning, so my scales are happy. Should probably stop cheating... plateaux today

Yes! My scales line up against two particular floor tiles and have been told to ‘oh fack off then’ quite regularly!

60.1kg today. Must not ruin it tonight as I was going to have a Friday treat 😬

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 05/01/2024 07:21

Progress so far:
1-Jan-2024 - Day 1 - 225 lb
2-Jan-2024 - Day 2 - 225 lb
3-Jan-2024 - Day 3 - 223 lb
4-Jan-2024 - Day 4 - 222 lb
5-Jan-2024 - Day 5 - 221 lb

SpongeBlobSquareFace · 05/01/2024 08:19

57.7kg
The treats from the other day have come back to haunt me.
So to be good yesterday I had seven almonds, a load of chicken liver for lunch and roast lamb ribs and lamb burgers no bun for dinner. Plus two Satsumas.

Wafflefudge · 05/01/2024 09:48

Gained 500g but had eaten well so just fluctuations I guess. Heavy ish exercise yesterday.

S/w 58.4kg
C/w 57.4kg

Having a protein smoothie this morning.

Cinai · 05/01/2024 09:49

Finally some progress:
SW: 87kg
Yesterday: 85.7kg
Today: 85kg

My scale and I are friends again after recent fallouts 😂

CoatOfArms · 05/01/2024 10:46

Starting weight - 85.9 kg
today 78kg
goal 70kg

ok so I haven’t been well and only had a banana and a few rice cakes yesterday, but a loss is a loss!!

TheShellBeach · 05/01/2024 10:50

Weight yesterday: 18st 9.2lb

Today's weight: 18st 7.6lb

That's a loss of 1.6lb since yesterday.

Total loss since last Friday:

1 stone 2.4lb

CoatOfArms · 05/01/2024 10:51

Wow. It took me 3 months to lose a stone, I am very impressed. Do you feel better for it or notice the difference,?

I don't look visibly different but I l feel less stuffed.

I also have no reflux.

Menora · 05/01/2024 10:56

I can’t weigh today as I am not home on my special scales 😂
I was pretty good on plan though I assume I will be same or slightly less.

I am on track so far though, I am planning to lose 0.5kg a week but it will take 6 months to lose 10kg to reach my goal weight 🫣

TheShellBeach · 05/01/2024 10:56

I absolutely recommend Orlistat.

And intermittent fasting.

TheShellBeach · 05/01/2024 10:57

And only eating 1700 cals a day.

My scales are not connecting so I don't know what I weigh (refuse to weigh with clothes on and too cold to take them off again ha) but it looks somewhat stable maybe a few 100g gain.

Period arrived this morning so probably lots of water and bloat! I shall allow myself a few leftover after eight mints today :)

forgot to add my weigh ins this week.

started this week at 10.13 and my final weigh in today was 10.10. Not sure what is going on I appear to be loosing really fast at the moment. I lost eight pounds in dec and two already this week.

sw -13.1 in august.
cw - 10.10
gw - is 9 stone.

i don’t weigh in on a weekend. So will have to wait till Monday to see if the big drop is still going. Handy though as it has given me a good boost.

TheShellBeach · 05/01/2024 13:26

That's really good, @Sleeplessinseattle234

Keep at it.

yeah, but the thread is about daily weigh in, the op does state its not for everyone but finds it more motivating to weigh daily.

There have been studies that show those that weigh daily can be more more effective for weight loss

I have to weigh in the kitchen, (cos the bathroom floor made me fatter than I am) so I'm regularly shouting DD to make sure the blinds are closed before she goes to bed, so that when I get up i can weigh with no clothes on, on the part of the floor that makes me lightest. 😂😂

I'm back to starting weight today but AF arrived last night and I've eaten loads of junk.
Probably won't weigh until Monday. When hopefully AF has gone away again and I feel more human.
