I'm doing daily weigh ins, I find it more motivating. It might not be for everyone but if anyone would like to join in with posting every day your weight and loss, and how the day has gone - to stay in focus. Good luck!

Bourbanbiscuit · 31/12/2023 10:23

SkinnyChaiLattePlease · 31/12/2023 10:39

Well done on day two @Bellyblueboy how did it go?

hi @Bourbanbiscuit 👋🏼

Bellyblueboy · 31/12/2023 11:07

Day two was a bit easier - although I still felt a bit sick on the eighth one minute run😂. Sarah millican is very encouraging

it does make me feel better. I hope to build back up to park runs.

my legs have aches a bit since I started - muscles I haven’t used since before Covid!!

CoatOfArms · 31/12/2023 11:08

Stuck at 78.8kg since 23rd December. 🙄

Welcome ! St or kg, whatever works. A daily weigh in is personal motivation for you, not anyone else!

Today in graphs, I have a motivating, and unmotivated one 🤦‍♀️

spackleplumb · 01/01/2024 13:48

@CoatOfArms thank you! About to do my weigh in so will report back 🙈

spackleplumb · 01/01/2024 15:14

Okay so today I'm 14st 12lbs
94.3kg or 208lbs if people prefer those units for comparison.

TheShellBeach · 01/01/2024 16:39

Today I am 19st 1.6lb

That's down 8.4lb in two days

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 01/01/2024 16:53

May I join please?

Weighed in this morning so I could get a start of year baseline but I'm not expecting to lose much this week as have already bought the weekly shop and it wasn't geared towards weight loss. I will however be able to cut chocolate, crisps and cake straight away and up my water so might be something.

Starting weight 225lb
1st big goal is 28lb loss which would get me out of obese BMI.

I have my weight tracking spreadsheet all set up and will be weighing in every Monday morning.

weighed yesterday at 153
weighed today at 152.1

SW 164
TW 151.9
GW 147

JustACountryMusicGirlInCowboyBoots · 01/01/2024 17:37

56.25kg this morning
That's 124 pounds or 8st 12lb.

Back to my usual eating today of chia porridge for breakfast, soup and those part baked bread rolls for dinner. I missed lunch due to eating breakfast late then going out.

I've gained 2.4lbs over Christmas which isn't too bad. It will disappear quickly once I'm back on the school run later this week.

This year will test my ability to reach and keep at my goal weight. I found maintenance really hard and couldn't adjust my eating habits so kept losing more weight. Need to work on that.

Good luck to everyone, you can do it!

SpongeBlobSquareFace · 02/01/2024 07:49

Weight this morning 58.3kg
YesterdayI had a Nandos for lunch with chips and diet cola and roast beef slice with one roastie and buttered cabbage.
Nothing in between and no biscuits/ cakes
Bought some walking boots so hopefully will start that again

SkinnyChaiLattePlease · 02/01/2024 08:10

Starting 2024 on 61kg on the nose.

GW still 52kg.

Have a sensible meal plan started, along with the plan that this week we both ditch red wine and whisky in the week. Next week we will ditch white and beer.

Baby steps, but I find that is more sustainable for me.

Well done to everyone over the last few days, it’s proper limbo time! X

FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain · 02/01/2024 08:11

Day 2

Had enchiladas for dinner last night which was pretty heavy on calories and carbs.

Managed about 1.5lts of water so need to up that to at least 2 lts

74.4kg today. Maintained over Christmas, but today is back on track day. Walked 5km this morning, egg on toast for breakfast, going to make mushroom soup for lunch. Mandarin as an afternoon snack and then a pasta free (for me) bolognese for tea.

EatingTillIDie · 02/01/2024 08:46

Thats beautiful @FlabMonsterIsDietingAgain I do admire a good spreadsheet 😍

@SkinnyChaiLattePlease limbo is right! It is all excuses really but I will feel more in control tomorrow when I'm back at my desk and the family are out of the house and I have the headspace to think without constant interruption.

I am setting up my new home office and have my rowing machine in there, and a cold water dispensing machine to up my water intake as I really struggle with that. Everything needs to be convenient as I get very hyper focused when working. The rower just needs to be 10 mins once or twice a day to start with, I can surely manage that!

Slight gain today and yesterday, I think I have plateaued munching on chocolate the past few nights. Will get rid of all the unopened Xmas treats today 💪

all My willpower evaporated the past 2 days, I made it though Christmas to fall at new year!! This was my first big wagon fall in 9 months

80kg today so it’s a gain of just over a KG.
fresh start completely.

sw: 15st 6
lowest weight: 12st 6
cw: 12st 8
gw: 11st/10st 10

SkinnyChaiLattePlease · 02/01/2024 10:12

@EatingTillIDie The office and rowing machine sounds brilliant.

I'm also back at my desk, and have set up alerts to keep drinking water!

Wafflefudge · 02/01/2024 10:25

I gained about 6lbs over Christmas but made a good dent already in getting back.
So starting weight yesterday was 58.4kg
And today was 57.6kg.
I'm only 5 foot 1 so am at high end of healthy BMI and looking to reach lower end ideally, don't have an exact goal weight in mind.
I've calorie counted in the past but trying to stick to 3 meals a day with approximate calories as i find weighing and counting very boring. But may have to change if progress stalls.
No snacks and only healthy sugars is the aim, also doing dry January or dryish anyway as they are empty calories.
Want to drink more water. And try and do a bit of running again as took up a new sport and almost completely stopped running but don't want to lose my running fitness.
