I'm doing daily weigh ins, I find it more motivating. It might not be for everyone but if anyone would like to join in with posting every day your weight and loss, and how the day has gone - to stay in focus. Good luck!

Ok I am back on track. I’m not gaining it’s just hard to work out what my average weight loss is as I fluctuate so much. But it is good to see I am still losing just slowly 😂 it’s taking aaaageesss

12.3 post Christmas.
11.11 post sickness bug Monday.
11.13 this am, after being able to eat all week normally. So Christmas weight def gone. Happy days.

Menora · 20/01/2024 08:05

78.2kg today
I was 77.8kg last Saturday but seems to be a bit of a jump around all the way up to 79kg this week
however my average across the week is less every week so I am working with that.
I am on track for 0.5kg loss a week.
I did eat more calories yesterday as I am not sure I am eating enough!

Menora · 21/01/2024 08:26

78.1kg but I lost the plot yesterday so got some deficit to create next week!

Wafflefudge · 21/01/2024 09:21

I am currently 200g up from my low point earlier in the week and have been for the last 3 days.
Bit frustrating, hopefully get a drop soon or might need to start calorie counting for a bit to make sure I'm at right level.

CoatOfArms · 21/01/2024 12:26

Currently sitting at 76.9 kg which is up a little bit from the low point of 76.6kg when I was unwell. Still 9kg down from my starting point, and sitting here comfortably in my size 14s rather than feeling the 16s were tight.

Menora · 21/01/2024 12:40

@CoatOfArms it’s like watching paint dry but it will happen keep the faith!!

I’ve started doing a set of exercises to make myself do at least 30 mins exercise a day. Walking normal steps does not count much forward my exercise as my heart rate does not go up much. This really seems to be helping as even though my weight hasn’t changed that much I lost another half inch off my waist

2kidsintow · 21/01/2024 15:44

Still 11.12 despite crispy duck and a slice of victoria sponge yesterday for tea.

spackleplumb · 22/01/2024 11:30

I have to say a massive thanks again to the people who gave me some guidance last week regarding my 1000 calorie thing!
This week I have upped to 1200 and I've added in a ton more protein. I was convinced I'd have either not changed or I'd be heavier but.... 3lb loss! I feel amazing!

SW 16st 5lbs / 103.9kg
CW 14st 7lbs / 92kg
GW 10st 2lbs / 64.4kg

I'm so happy and I'm fitting clothes I haven't been able to get into for years. I know I'm still huge compared to some on this thread but I'm in a size 14/16 and heading in the right direction- more healthily due to some great people on here.

Well done!

It does feel counter intuitive to eat more calories but what I've learnt is that if I restrict too hard and don't have enough protein and fat then I'm hungry, miserable, don't lose weight and end up giving up.

If I eat more calories but under my BMR then I can actually have periods of time when I'm not thinking about my belly because I'm not hungry, and the weight does come off.

Just don't forget water/clear fluids, that's my big blind spot and without it I don't lose weight.

EatingTillIDie · 22/01/2024 12:16

Looks like a tough few days for some! My scales are being annoying also.

well done @spackleplumb that's a lesson for us all.

I have covid and hit hard but i ordered a vegetarian meal box last week so need to thank my past self as I now have healthy things to make for dinner. If I have the energy to eat anything but dried noodles... 🍜

I might not take my final 0.5 dose today and give myself a few days rest like I did at Christmas as I don't fancy contending with queasiness as well as an exploded face and sore throat.

Totally downed by covid. Annoyed by my graph! 🤣 feels like I have made no progress in January really.
