I was doing slimming world until last night. I was doing it since June and haven't lost a single pound since Aug.

I think it's time for change. I am starting WW on Tuesday. Any body else up for joining me.

Ria WW do a pizza in the fresh area, it is garlic and mushroom and only 6 points. Its not the best pizza in the world but it's not bad either

I wish I'd thought to ask that earlier short&sweet

frozen pizza is NOT a good option, but tomorrow is another day!

lizandlulu · 30/03/2008 18:35

hiya everyone. i used to love ww pizzas, but none of the supermarkets round here sell them. i think it is sainsburys that do have them and the nearest one is 15 miles away

been to twycross zoo today and had beef and mushroon pie for dinner. it has proper suet crust and was really nice, but felt really stodged after.
just had poached eggs on toast for tea, nothing special.

Hi all - after being away for 5 days to center Parcs - and eating some rubbish and no points counting at all, I got back on track today! I will start writing it all down again tomorrow in preparation for weigh in on Wednesday - hopefully will not have gained too much, as we did loads of walking. Will keep you posted!

I have prepared a lovely salad for lunch at work tomorrow, and have a four pack of WW yogs, so will take them to snack on!

RiaisMaLarkin · 30/03/2008 21:18

lucky you andyrobo - which center parcs?

I have to confess to a bad day, had planned a cooked breakfast, I didn't enjoy it and it kind of went wrong from there also we forgot to get the planned chicken out of the freezer for tonight.

Back on track (with cereal for breakfast!) and roast chicken dinner tomorrow. I might make soup for lunch if I'm organised enough. I am looking forward to weighing in on Tues - I really want to see how I've done.

Good luck!

RiaisMaLarkin · 01/04/2008 10:14

I've lost 3lb!!!!

Not bad considering the bad couple of days I've just had.

Now I have to keep going

Earthymama · 01/04/2008 10:24

Please Please encourage me to start again.....I had flu about a month ago and have felt so tired since that I've let WW go. Feeble I know I really want to get my enthusiasm back.

I've done a really healthy shop and planned my meals so I CAN do it can't I!!

Hope I'm not gate-crashing but my heart lifted when I saw this thread

I'm a Monthly pass member, tell me to go to class this week because I do enjoy it.

(I don't know why I'm asking 'you' to tell me to do things I obviously know would be sensible....)

andyrobo237 · 01/04/2008 13:00

Ria - we went to the one in Penrith - been loads of times! Plan to try the Nottingham one next time we go!

Well done on the 3lbs - that is fab! I havent got back into it yet - will try to keep up - at least I havent gained!

ShortandSweet · 01/04/2008 13:29

Hi earthymama and welcome. You really need you get yourself back in the right frame of mind. Shart eating lots of colourful fruit and veg to get your energy back on track. Get off your bum and get to that class

Well done Ria you lucky thing.

RiaisMaLarkin · 01/04/2008 17:00

thanks. I looked at my diary and it's 6lb off in total since I was at my heaviest in Feb.

I have just been out shopping with my sis and we didn't have a bakery treat! I had ONE smartie, and it was a green one.

Might go for a walk after tea with the kids, mainly because I think I deserve a small glass of wine and there's only red in the house

Welcome earthymama.

I fancy going to Penrith, we pass it when we travel to where we go in Silloth. Maybe one day.

lizandlulu · 01/04/2008 21:34

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 02/04/2008 15:49

well done short and sweet. 2 pounds is a great loss

mixedmama · 02/04/2008 16:14

hi ladies,

sorry to crash your thread, but I am thinking about joining WW and was just wondering if it was worth it, will read through if thats ok to see what you all think, but my weight is a really emotional issue for me and worried i will get on the scales and burst into tears and they will think i am a nutter.

Bit worried about how to tackle it as DH will not eat most things (he is a curry and rice man) and i would rather not have to cook different things. Also ow much does it cost??

Well done to those of you who seem to be doing well.

RiaisMaLarkin · 02/04/2008 17:10

well done S&S

ShortandSweet · 02/04/2008 18:10

Hi mix, if your weight is just emotional maybe you need to deal with that first rather than your weight.

You can buy a weight watchers book and that has healthy curries. You can work around your family, you just have to look at the WW cook books.

I was at SW and think the point count option on WW is better because I can eat what I want (in moderation). I have lost 5.5lb in 3 weeks. I didn't lose a thing in the last 6mths at SW.

Thanks liz and Ria - I am sooooooo happy.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 02/04/2008 18:33

hiya mixedmama, if your man is a curry and rice man thats no problem. it fits in well with the eating plan.
it is just good wholesome food in smaller portions, not gigantic portions we are used to.

and its £5.50 a week, but if you pay on the internet it is less. its called monthly pass but i have yet to do that.

mixedmama · 02/04/2008 19:49

thanks everyone... have decided to do it, so on tuesday will be my first meeting, so will hopefully be joining this thread if that is ok.

lizandlulu · 02/04/2008 20:00

of course thats ok
our meeting last night was que-ed out the door it was that busy as another class had just closed. our leader is a lovely woman who always looks immaculate.
i hope you get on ok with it!

ShortandSweet · 02/04/2008 20:02

That's fantastic mixedmama, but you don't have to wait until you join if you want to join this thread. we are all just here for support.

OP posts:
BigHotMama · 03/04/2008 17:20

Hi everyone...can I join in this thread?
I have been going to WW since feb and have managed to lose a stone and almost dropped a dress size. I am a serial chocaholic and a lager'n'lime lover at weekends. Luckily my DH has started doing WW as dont think I would have been half as good, he has lost 1 and half stone so it definatley works just hope I can get another satone for my holiday in 10wks.

Mixedmama we are big curry fans here too and am loving WW's Chicken tikka massala with rice for 5 points - not a big portion but we have slimming chips for another 2-3 points and a mini garlic bread. Also cooked the Chicken Fried Rice dish on the WW Website and it was delish!

Got my weigh-in tonight fingers crossed

lizandlulu · 03/04/2008 18:04

good luck bighotmama let us know how you get on.
my holiday is in 10 wooeks too, bikini is still on the wardrobe door looking at me!

RiaisMaLarkin · 03/04/2008 23:19

well done BHM, I am .
I have bought the new mag tonight so that should give me a kick up the bum (not that I'd feel it). It should be weekly not monthly!!!

I have a provisional date for DS3s christening now so that should give me an aim...
