I was doing slimming world until last night. I was doing it since June and haven't lost a single pound since Aug.

I think it's time for change. I am starting WW on Tuesday. Any body else up for joining me.

Aargh, rubbish week. Curse the school holidays!

Hope you're all doing better than me. Good luck for the weekend.

mixedmama · 05/04/2008 15:06

Afternoon ladies,

I am all geared up for my first WW meeting on Tuesday. Have been quite good this week in terms of snacking but mainly because I havent done the shopping yet.

Hope everyone is doing ok.

lizandlulu · 07/04/2008 11:56

hello everyone. i also had a crap weekend. i went to chinese sat night, italian yest dinner and the pub for tea last night, both had puddings with them.

mixedmama · 07/04/2008 16:03

I had a Dr Pepper and chicken and chips from the chicken shop - felt horrible afterwards as it wasnt evn nice, just oily rubbish but really fancied it.

Am hopefully going to get to my first WW meeting tomorrow tho so am using that as my excuse to eat crap right now.

BigHotMama · 07/04/2008 16:40

Thanks for the warm welcome ladies!

I too have gone awol this weekend as went out for my birthday with the girls (any excuse!) and they forced me to scoff naughty food at TGI Fridays then drank quite a few vodka's on the evening so I'm trying to get back on plan today .

Having spag bol WW style tonight with Dolmio Light sauce which is only 2.5 points and quite yummy.
Whats everyone else got for tea? healthy answers only please!

lizandlulu · 07/04/2008 16:58

i live with my mum and dad and she cooks tea so i have no idea what i have got!

its funnt how when you are on a diet you always want things you wouldnt normally touch!

ShortandSweet · 07/04/2008 17:09

Hi all, I had not a bad weekend until yesterday, I had 2 kitkats and 2 bags of crisps, Will have see if I lose any weight on Wed.

I am having simple beans on toast. Had a mad day at work and just too tired to cook a dinner.

You may have had a bad weekend but at least your back on it again today. You need a blow out every once and a while.

lizandlulu · 07/04/2008 17:30

i have not been counting points like i should which doesnt help.

bananaknickers · 07/04/2008 18:02

Hi, can I join you all please?
I am going to my first meeting tonight. I had an accident last year and crushed my knee-cap. I have been told that I will get artheritis ( think it is already there).Losing weight is bound to help.

Anyway, I love eating out. That site looks brill. Something that has always confused me. When it has meals like the Harvester for example and the guide says X amount of points, does that include the chips that come with the meal?

RiaisMaLarkin · 07/04/2008 19:07

I am not looking forward to tomorrow.

Why is it when I have a good week like last week I don't seem to be able to follow it with another good week.

welcome to the thread BK.

lizandlulu · 07/04/2008 22:00

hiya bananaknickers. i really struggle when we eat out. i usually just have what i like cause even meals you think are 'good' are often not and have hidden fat in them. you may as well enjoy it
my weigh in tomorrow too. im not very hopeful.

mixedmama · 08/04/2008 09:04

hi banana how did it go. i have my first one tonight so quite apprehensive.

RiaisMaLarkin · 08/04/2008 09:59

No loss this week, but no gain either, and as I haven't tried very hard I'm fairly .

This week I will drink more water and try to walk more.

I have takeaway night tomorrow for DS1s 11th birthday. He is torn between pizza or chinese.

Good luck everyone!

bananaknickers · 08/04/2008 12:39

Hi all, Thanks for the welcome.

I went along and it was a small a cosy sort of meeting, so I think I might enjoy it. I am gonna follow the points one this week. Noone seems to really follow the core. Do you not loose as much wieght on it then?

The meeting was full of really positive people ( which was lovely)

ShortandSweet · 08/04/2008 17:19

I know this is completely unrelated to dieting but I went on the seafront today and got sun burnt, can you believe that. It was thick with snow here 2 days go.

What is up with this weather?

OP posts:
RiaisMaLarkin · 08/04/2008 21:31

where abouts are you S&S? On our seafront it would be windburn!

ShortandSweet · 09/04/2008 05:44

I live in Brigton and there was no wind at all yesterday just very hot.

OP posts:
RiaisMaLarkin · 09/04/2008 09:42

That explains it - I'm on the north-east coast.

bananaknickers · 09/04/2008 12:04

Hi,does anyone know whats the best thing to have from the chinese. It will be a takeaway.

Also how do the monthly passes work?

Mixedmamma- how did it go?

ShortandSweet · 09/04/2008 12:35

Hey all well I lost another 2lbs this week, woohoo.

Banana I have an eating out guide at home, I am at work and will have a look when I get back. Don't know about the monthly passes so can't help there.

OP posts:
bananaknickers · 09/04/2008 12:56

Thanks! Well done on your loss. How much is that altogether?

ShortandSweet · 09/04/2008 13:16

Its 7.5 on WW but I had last 1.5st at SW but needed a change - so I have lost 2st now. Has taken me since June 07.

Long and hard at times but finding WW a lot easier.

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 09/04/2008 13:17

banaba, i think the best thing from chinese is chop suey, it has loads of beansprouts and not much else! or maybe chow mein but that is probably more points.
chop suey is about 4 for a whole portion.

well done shortandsweet! thats great. i stayed the smae this week. im not surprised with how many times i have eaten out, just glad i didnt put on.
i am also not sure about the monthly pass. but i know you can pay over the internet and get the meetings for about £4, then just sing in when you attent meetings. i just havent got around to doing it.

RiaisMaLarkin · 09/04/2008 14:08

yipee well done S&S.2 stone is fantastic.

well done on the maintain too lizandlulu.

I think I am having chinese tonight. Yum.

I am not really here - I am tidying up.
