I was doing slimming world until last night. I was doing it since June and haven't lost a single pound since Aug.

I think it's time for change. I am starting WW on Tuesday. Any body else up for joining me.

keep going dior, remember what I told you before...break it down into segments and it won't seem so hard iykiwm....

Thats what im doing. If at the start I had thought "I have 2 and half stone to loose" I would have gone madddd... But I aimed for each half stone and now at just over 1 st loss I sit and think, oh another stone to go, I can't do it as it seems so far away BUT I can do it..

I have about 1 st 8lbs to be within my BMI and that would be bang on iykiwm and would also take me lower than I can ever remember being..well when an adult.....even less than I was when I met dh 12 yrs ago. .
I may not get there BUT its my aim and I will judge it at the time.

You can and will do it x

I'm here checking in!!! Lost 3 lbs in the last two weeks on the Core plan, so feeling great!

I am diabetic, and not taking the general advice given, as lower carbing is the way to go, so Core plan is better, I just have very little potato, bread, pasta and rice! I have struggled to lose weight before, and now I know why - I was generally around 2-3 lb per month - so I am hopng to be in the next stone down bracket by Christmas! I have to do something as the diabetic nurse has threatened me with tablets next time O go tos ee her in December - which is kind of focusing my mind!

Hello all... Could I join too please ?

I've been doing WW for 2 weeks and tonight I got my "silver 7" and felt ridiculously pleased with myself

I've got 10lb to go to get to my 10% weight and I'd love to get there before my wedding at the end of November (6 weeks to go)

sfxmum · 17/10/2008 19:57

that is great well done on silver seven
still waiting for mine, decided against kicksatrt but have been loosing steadily over the last couple of weeks

that is what I meant did not bother with it as rather keep steady with points but can see how it is good for incentive and for when you are stuck

does anyone stay for talks after weigh in?
i tend to dash off as it is the only time I can go for run when dd is at pre school, they seem to do it as coffee morning

I've stayed for the talks so far. I can't say I've really learnt anything I didn't already know but its good for reinforcing things and motivation. Our leader is also fab

sfxmum · 18/10/2008 20:14

I quite like my leader she is very straightforward and jolly and I appreciate she does put a fair bit of effort for the meetings but time is very short for me at the moment, from what I can see she always has a good turnout it is a mixed group of mums and pensioners, it is a 9.45am during the week

did not realise that they were judged on meetings attendance, not really fair I agree as there are loads of people at weigh in

Eve34 · 18/10/2008 20:28

Evening all, I am a serial WW. Started in 2000 and lost 4 stone, have got it all back over the years. Started again this week. Have to be honest I have not given it 100% but am determind to get myself back on track. 1 stone at a time. Would really like to loose 1 - 1.5 stone by christmas, 2lb each week for 10 weeks, it can be done?????????????
Watch this space. Well done everyone on sticking with it, it is hard.

I would like to lose a stone by christmas - 3lb so far, and therefore 11 to go!! I need the discipline of going to class, but ours is just an express weigh-in, but still the same price - is ok, but expensive for what it is! Hey Ho, if it works!

Just doing my 15 mins exercise for the day - record programmes off Sky challenge - Body In Balance - some great half hour workouts!

Eve34 · 20/10/2008 22:08

Well I lost 3lb, so that is a good start, although have a week in Spain after next week grrr. Will just try my hardest to keep on track.
Lots of walking the dog this week if the rain ever stops.

Welldone Dioriffic!

Help! I'm going away this weekend! what is "good" food to eat out? I am going to try taking alpen light bars and big snack-a-jacks, so hopefully save my points for evening meals. Also going to the lakes, so should be plenty of exercise to be had!
