I was doing slimming world until last night. I was doing it since June and haven't lost a single pound since Aug.

I think it's time for change. I am starting WW on Tuesday. Any body else up for joining me.

Hi there sfxmum!

Just posting to say I have got some M&S 'count on us' syrup sponge puddings in the fridge (3 points) and am looking forward to demolishing one tonight whilst blubbing in front of the Pride of Britain awards. (dh away on a course so I can get away with these things for once!)

Well done to ToffeeTart - Some people have babies that weight! Good for you!

SpinMeRightRound · 01/10/2008 14:58

Is there any way fo finding out how many points you should have without joining a meeting ??

I think there is a way of finding how many points, am pretty sure I saw some questionnaire about
female 3p
not bf 0p
under35 4p/over 35 3p
add how many stone you are
etc average is about 20points really

Dior better luck next week
last time I used to stick to points and never use the points I earned through exercise
but I would indulge post weigh in without counting points

not sure I have the same motivation now

SmugColditz · 02/10/2008 17:21

i PUT ANOTHER HALF A BLEDDY POUND ON.

I must not lose motivation, I must not lose motivation, I must not eat chips, I must not eat chips....

IllegallyBrunette · 02/10/2008 17:57

I didn't make this weeks meeting and I am not sure wether to join or a not because once I start my job I won't always be able to go.

Will have a google for quesiotnaire, thanks.

SmugColditz · 02/10/2008 18:08

Do it online

Join the online WW, it's good, apparently

IllegallyBrunette · 02/10/2008 18:51

Can't afford to Colditz as it is loads more than the RL meetings.

You are right it is cheaper, I just checked. However there is an initial subscription fee of £29.99 which I can't afford really.

Add up the following points to find out your point allowance, taken from the Week 1 book:

Are you

Are you a breastfeeding mother?
No score 0
Yes breastfeeding exclusively score 10
Yes supplementing breastfeeding with solids score 5

How old are you?
16 - 20 score 5
21- 35 score 4
36 - 50 score 3
51 - 65 score 2
Over 65 score 1

How many stones do you weigh?
Ignore the lbs the number of stones you weigh is your score for this question

How tall are you?
Under 5ft 4in score 1
5ft 4in or above score 2

In your day to day life are you sitting down most of the time score 0
Occasionally sitting by mainly standing score 2

Add up your score and this is your daily points allowance

Don't forget to re do the quiz when the above conditions change.

Hope this helps

Yay, thankyou so much makeminealargeone.

I have won some WW books off ebay too, so now I will know what I am doing.

Do may of you buy the WW food ?? I have brought some of their bread as that is the one thing I sturggle with cutting down on, and I also just had one of their ready meals, thai curry, it was lovely.

Mine · 05/10/2008 21:31

i there, i've not been on here while.. real life seemed to have got in the way!

I'm back at work but i'm finding the diet easier to do as i'm too busy to think about my next meal

Weekends seem to be my downfall.... like today i went out to lunch with my sister and my best friends then out to dinner for my MILs birthday

Waves to all the new people joining in

Does anyone here read the WW magazine?????

No worries, IllegallyB, glad its useful to you. Re bread, I have tried it and seem to remember it being quite 'lightweight'. I've heard that the 50/50 Kingsmill, Crusts Away is half a point a slice, but its real bread, slightly smaller size though.

I too use the cookery books, they seem to be really good.

Wooo Hooo! A week in and I've lost 4lbs! Very pleased! I seem to remember that in the 1st week you always lose more than the following weeks has anyone else noticed this?
