I was doing slimming world until last night. I was doing it since June and haven't lost a single pound since Aug.

I think it's time for change. I am starting WW on Tuesday. Any body else up for joining me.

Hi arfishy! Well done so far - going to the gym every day, now that really is hardcore! That was a bummer about your toe. Good on you though and best of luck with your losses!

Well done to shhhh too

SpinMeRightRound · 10/09/2008 21:06

2.5lb loss tonight and my first silver 7.

So total of 8lbs in 2 weeks.
I'm really pleased especially as I went to pizza hut on Sunday with the kids and a load of friends. But I decided what I would have before we went, stuck to it and filled up on salad.

I'm really chuffed that I can have a life and still lose, I don't know any other "diet" that i could have 3 slices of pizza & still have a loss

PinkPussyCat · 10/09/2008 22:07

SpinMe that is great! Well done indeed

Quick Q for those of you doing the ww online diet - is there a way of saving your carried over points (eg for the weekend) on the plan manager? For some reason my 'save' button is unclickable IYKWIM. Or does it just do it automatically? Sorry for being thick

Hope everyone else is well

Thank you all for the welcome .

Well Done Dior! That 10% is a biggie. I've got another 5kg (I hate working in kilos!), 11lb to go until mine.

I've stayed good. No wine for 9 days, gym every day, burning between 300 and 400 calories each session (I have a heart rate monitor from a really scary bootcamp I did last year).

I need to measure myself as I think my weight loss might be slow but I will be dropping inches. At the bootcamp I only lost about 1.5kg (3.5lb) in 2 weeks but dropped many inches. It was amazing (but hard).

I was going to go to weigh-in today but I weighed myself on 3 different scales yesterday and they all said something different. As it will be my first trip back after 8 weeks off for the toes I really don't want to register a gain (which I might do despite losing 4lb as I'd gained in the time off) as it will really demotivate me. I think I'll just carry on with really going for it this week and hopfully register my first 5kg loss next Friday (11lb).

I've been eating a lot of the zero point soup with extra chilli, which really fills me up.

Yesterday:
Museli Bar 1.5points
Carrot Sticks 0 points
2 slices wholemeal bread 3 points
1 egg 1.5 points
1 bowl veggie soup 0 points
with 1 slice bread 1.5 points
Bowl cereal with skimmed milk 3 points
Small piece chocolate 2 points
Full of Fruit biscuit 2 points

Exercise - 300 cals in the gym (not sure of points, but I don't eat my exercise points anyhow).

I'm a bit under so I can have wine at the weekend.

SpinMeRightRound · 12/09/2008 08:52

Please can I join in?

I have 4 1/2 stone to lose, got weighed this morning

Am not going to the meeting - have all the books so am going to do it at home.

PinkPussyCat · 12/09/2008 14:19

Hi again all... nowt to report here but just checking in anyway!

Well done Dior! And what's this about a keyring, Spinme?

Arfishy - Tell us more about the bootcamp, I am intrigued. You sound one determined woman.
I am not looking forward to my first weigh-in on Monday, even though I've stuck rigidly within my 20 points. Just don't want to be disappointed I guess.

Hello oddsock! Welcome

My Dad visited yesterday and brought with him a large cream-filled victoria sponge. He said he forgot I was on diet so I then had to watch him cut himself + ds a great wodge of the damn thing and eat it in front of me! I tried my best to feel virtuous instead of pissed off, but it wasn't easy!

SmugColditz · 12/09/2008 17:02

Hi, I'm colditz and I'm a cheesaholic.

Um

I joined WW in January, lost 29lb and put 7 back on.

So I rejoined on Tuesday, and hope to scrape off another 10%, as I am still technically obese.

I stick to 20 points a day

I try to stick to 20 points a day.

Well yes. If you are feeling particularly smug. Although I have noticed a mite more hostility from other, newer posters than used to happen, probably because they assume I am smug.

Carnival · 12/09/2008 18:17

Can I join this thread too. I need all the help I can get!!!!

oiwhatsoccurring · 12/09/2008 19:32

LOL yes I am determined but only because I'm flying back home in December. I wasn't very determined for the last year while I was stacking on the weight out of sight of everybody!

Bootcamp was a 12 week course run by some personal trainers. I had to do 3 sessions a week (at 6am!) and follow a diet plan. The diet was quite generous but tailored for exercise, lots of protein and 5 meals a day. It was really effective. The sessions were for an hour and we had to work at 80% of our maximum heart rate (using the heart rate monitor). There were 6 stations with really hard exercises on each - like a treadmill that you had to run 2k on and a step machine that they put on level 10. All the time you had to keep your heart rate up at 80% of its maximum.

I lost loads of weight and lots of inches. I did it for Christmas. Then relaxed rather too much afterwards .

I learned that you can be a flabby size 10 or a thin toned size 10 (which would probably weigh more). So I don't take quite as much notice of the scales as I used to. When I get back into my skinny jeans I expect I will be heavier due to all of the exercising.

oiwhatsoccurring · 13/09/2008 06:29

Dior I am now doing weightlossresources and I don't feel I really fit in this thread anymore, still losing weight so don't worry I haven't given up.
