I was doing slimming world until last night. I was doing it since June and haven't lost a single pound since Aug.

I think it's time for change. I am starting WW on Tuesday. Any body else up for joining me.

thank goodness i have no chocs in the house, feel like all i have done today is scream at my dd1 and if i had chocs would be gobbling them up!

Have not been able to make weigh in for last two weeks so am slightly dreading sat!

well done to all those who have lost. Saw a friend of mine a few days ago and she has lost a massive three and half stone with ww. It can be done!

I feel like i am stuck at the mo so will def stay for the meeting as i need a bit of a pick me up.

PinkPussyCat · 03/09/2008 17:35

Hello again!

peachespaige - That's good to hear, I'm glad there's someone else starting on the same day as me!

Just ordered a little points calculator from ebay. The wheels will soon be in motion!

shhhh · 03/09/2008 19:42

yeah I think stopping to the meetings are a great help...I have only missed one meeting (weighed and left) and tbh I missed the tips and conversation iykiwm.
Just helps you to stay more focussed and allows you to see others loosing and to get support.

Sorryn pp, can't help with the cornflakes side BUT as dior says, try something more filling..otherwise you end up having a satisfying bowl which cost you 5 points iykiwm...

I have a bagel (3) or ww toast (x4 at 2 points) and a banana (medium at 1.5 ) everyone is different BUT I find it fills me up and is quick enough for me to grab while trying to sort the lo's. Crumbs, I can't rememeber the last time I had chance to have a bowl of cereal I can only got to page 2 of the newspaper for the lo's to demand breakkie over .

welcome pinkpussycat Don't think there are to many of us around BUT enough to support each other. Good luck and have a good wkd x

SpinMeRightRound · 03/09/2008 20:04

I lost 5.5lbs!

shhhh · 03/09/2008 20:40

feck !!!! WELLDONE!!!! .

See, it works Keep going...!!

SpinMeRightRound · 03/09/2008 20:45

Thanks shhh, i'm realy pleased but have a busy weekend coming including pizza hut on Sunday with friends and all of our kids.....

must avoid pizza, must avoid pizza, must avoid pizza!

I'm aiming to lose 1.5lbs and then will have reached half stone.

And I've not had glass of wine for a week! God I sound like an alcholoic!

shhhh · 03/09/2008 20:51

I think the same about booze....I think me not having it during the week and wkd helps although im not really a big drinker. I just think even the little I have does me no good.

Have pizza BUT point things first so you know what you can have and don't make an issue out of it when there iykiwm....when I had a takeaway with friends recently they had no idea I was doing ww, dh kept an eye when drinks were being poured iykiwm and I knew what I could have before hand and stuck to it.

you can do it. look at that link from a few week ago on this thread to get points for pizza hut. good luck x

iLoveIceCream · 03/09/2008 21:38

hi everyone, can i join your group? Just joined ww tonight

shhhh · 03/09/2008 22:13

the more the merrier .

Come on in, the fires on

Yingers74 · 03/09/2008 22:23

of course you can!

Need some words of encouragement, have hit a plateau and seem stuck at this weight. What should I do?

shhhh · 03/09/2008 22:33

Go back to basics...
Everything you eat record in your planner..and I mean EVERYTHING.

Plan meals....so you are not tempted to eat crap when your are starving or can't think of what you fancy...

Buy some of the ww sweeties..I find at half point per pack they help to take the edge of hunger...

dior, that doesn't sound right...BMI should beox and 20 around 25..? 9..surely you would be in a box and 10ft under .

Im not sure what my BMI is but I know my "ideal" weight as per the guides say I should be around 7 st as Im 4ft 11 in BUT.. I know that would not be good for me...Ideally I would want to be around 9 and half..

Dior, you look great in that photo! Agree though that surely your BMI should be 20-25...

SpinMe - Congrats on your loss - 5.5lbs is great!

Whilst I'm on... does anyone have any good low-point breakfast tips? I need a filling brekkie as I often don't manage to get luch until ds goes for a sleep around 2pm. Any ideas gratefully received!

SpinMeRightRound · 05/09/2008 08:29

Well done Dior thats great and can really see a difference in your face.

Breakfast ideas... well most days I have 50g granola 3.5 points and a couple of dollops of low fat natural yoghurt 1 points.

Its nice & quick to do and very tasty

PinkPussyCat · 05/09/2008 13:43

Hi
SpinMe Granola sounds good, is that any particular brand or do you make it yourself?

SpinMeRightRound · 05/09/2008 13:47

I have Quakers Oat Granola.
You could make you own though but i couldn't face working out the points value and I don't have a recipe either so was easier just to buy some.
