I was doing slimming world until last night. I was doing it since June and haven't lost a single pound since Aug.

I think it's time for change. I am starting WW on Tuesday. Any body else up for joining me.

Am going to track religiously and aiming to have 1 point less than i am allowed everyday so that i have some points for treats,.. (have a turkish weddingy thing to go to so lots of yummy food and throwing a baby shower on sunday with lots of yummy food).

Am going to step up the exercise aswell.

Setting myself a goal of 2 pounds.

ShortandSweet · 26/06/2008 05:42

OP posts:
mixedmama · 26/06/2008 15:05

I had 19.5 points yesterday without even realising so am clawing them all back today.

Yingers74 · 27/06/2008 09:16

am aching all over from more aerobics and a yoga session, I just hope it reflects in the weigh in tomorrow! Am not as hopeful as I have been in the last couple of weeks, I don't feel like I have lost any weight this week. But will keep my fingers crossed. maybe shaving my legs tonight will make a difference

sagacious · 27/06/2008 11:00

Back from weigh in
2lb off !

Have half a stone to lose now

Off for a celebratory bowl of porridge!

Yingers74 · 28/06/2008 19:25

Lost 3lbs this week, but then went onto a bbq and had a chinese tonight and am going to another bbq tomorrow. I can say no to the sweet stuff but it is the sausages that get me in the end!

How do others cope with bbqs?

Am going to do as much exercise as I can and hope that off sets those yummy bangers!

well done sags. I have another two stone to go so way behind you!

ShortandSweet · 29/06/2008 06:09

Well done ladies on your losses. Hopefully I will be reporting a loss this week.

OP posts:
mixedmama · 30/06/2008 10:06

Congrats ladies, that is fab.

Re: BBQ I am quite lucky that my dad is Turkish so our BBQ's are fairly (?) healthy in that they are lean kebabs and so forth and lots of salad. My leader suggests either puttin gon your plate all that you want to eat at once and then not going back. Or filling up a little eating it, then leaving it a while then going back if you still def feel hungry. There is no easy solution I dont think.

Not holding out hope for this week, have tried to be fairly good but i seem to still go over my points. Had a baby shower for my SIL yesterday too and there was cake involved.

sagacious · 01/07/2008 16:18

With bbq's I fill up on salad, and stick to steak/chicken/lean kebabs

I don't dare touch sausages or crisps (these are my total diet downfall I can eat a HUGE family size bag of Walkers sensations in one go)

Oh and alcohol: I stick to tea/water until after 4pm otherwise all reason goes out of the window !

Some people I know can have "a little of what you fancy" I am not one of those people !

lizandlulu · 01/07/2008 16:32

hiya everyone. i have not been on this thread for a while. i have not been on the diet for a while
i have about 2 weeks eating anything and everything in sight
i am going tonight, i didnt go last weeks, so i have to go or i wont go next week either.
i really am going to try to lose another stone.

again.

Yingers74 · 01/07/2008 22:34

thanks for the advice, have another bbq coming up so will do my best to avoid sausages! Have been exercising like mad to work off all those little treats over the weekend!

Do you think exercise actually improves metabolism? I have heard different things so am not sure!

Yingers74 · 01/07/2008 22:35

liz - keep going, we all go through this dips so know how you feel. Just have to pick yourself up, be kind to yourself and get back on the bike!

mixedmama · 02/07/2008 08:41

Agree with yingers... get yourself tot he meeting and get back into the swing of things.

I lost 1.5 last night so was fairly pleased as I hadnt been as rigid as i had hoped, but am going to try to track much better this week.

Have dropped a dress size tho woo hoo.

ShortandSweet · 02/07/2008 12:59

Well ladies I having a bit of a problem.

I need to go to a class but there is no classes near me that I can get to.

Have looked into the Rosemary Conley one and thats 0.5miles away and they do an exercise class. It is £4.50 in all. What do you think?

OP posts:
sagacious · 02/07/2008 13:02

I think you should do the Rosemary Conley one (this is said through gritted teeth as she's got one of those faces I would love to shove a cream cake into)

ShortandSweet · 02/07/2008 14:00

She's got one I would love to drop kick but hey ho its a class

OP posts:
lizandlulu · 02/07/2008 16:21

my friend did rosemary conoly class and found it really good. i dont know nothing about the diet or anything, but do know that her chocolate mousse is quite nice and 1 and half points per massive pot! i think you can only get it at asda though.
oh, went last night and put on 2 pound. which is not all that bad considering what i have been eating.

mixedmama · 03/07/2008 08:31

Are we talkign exercise class... I am so rubbish at classes it is really not even funny. They say go left I go right. Good luck.

Is it THE Rosemary Connely??

ShortandSweet · 03/07/2008 08:42

Its weigh in with an exercise class, No it's not THE Rosemary conley, just one of her little followers.

OP posts:
mixedmama · 03/07/2008 08:55

Oh ok... is it a different diet to WW altogether. If it is closer might be worth it and at least you get a bit of exercise as well.

lizandlulu · 07/07/2008 17:39

hello everyone how is things going?

ShortandSweet · 07/07/2008 18:09

Well Liz not great. So p*ssed off with it all at the moment. What about yourself?

OP posts:

My week was going well till Saturday night when my friend had a birthday party and I drank the most I have drank in about a year. Awful. So, not holding out much hope.
