I was doing slimming world until last night. I was doing it since June and haven't lost a single pound since Aug.

I think it's time for change. I am starting WW on Tuesday. Any body else up for joining me.

lizandlulu · 16/05/2008 19:44

i dodnt post on tueday for some reason
i went to ww and after going on holiday for 4 days had lost 1 and half pounds. god knows how i did that. i didnt go mad or anything on holiday, but had ate some crap since i have been back.
i really seem to be off it and fed up of the diet. i dont know why really as i have been cheating alot just lately, havent counted points for weeks, its not like i have been over strict and not eaten anything good for ages.
i go to ibiza with my skinny mate in 4 weeks so i dont know why i am letting myself go.
i need a proper kick up the bum to get myslef into gear

ShortandSweet · 17/05/2008 16:52

have a great time. think of us while you are laid on the beach wont you!

oregonianabroad · 18/05/2008 20:53

Well done all on the losses.

Lizandlu, can't you treat yourself to something for sticking to it all week or some such incentive? DOn't give up!!

Just weighed self and have lost 3 more lbs this week, making total 12lbs, almost a whole stone!! Am sooooooo proud of myself, really can't believe I have stuck with it for a month.

Mind you, next week I am at PILs and they stress me out to the point where I find myself sneaking food (something I haven't done for years). Also Aunt Flow is due, so it will be a great combo.

lizandlulu · 20/05/2008 10:11

i buy quite alot anyway, so it wouldnt feel like it was something for losing weight.
i need someone else to say, when you have lost a total of 2 stone i will buy you this bag'. but then i would moan and go and buy it myself

mixedmama · 20/05/2008 17:14

Well done to everyone esp sagacious, short and sweet and lizandlulu.

I have weigh in tonight. Had a health check at toddler group today and when she weighed me the scales said 10 st 8 lbs which would be 5 pounds.... but am remembering that the WW scales could say something different and I have been very naughty and had loads of take aways this week, but hoping that more walking and cutting back on other days may have helped.

Fingers crossed

mixedmama · 20/05/2008 17:17

lizandlulu - was going to say that I have told DH that when I reach my final goal (by which time I will have lost 3 - 3.5 stones) that I would like to go to Raymond Blanc's restaurant in Oxford and stay in his hotel for the night. Not something that I would just get myself IYSWIM.

You could setting a time limit on it (a relaistic one tho). I would like to lose X amount by such and such a date and if I do I will spend the whole day at the Elizabeth Arden spa and have a personal shopping trip in Selfridges.

You get the picture.

mixedmama · 20/05/2008 17:19

oregonianabroad - am being nosey at profiles... and do you realise yours says that you have a son 2003 years old...

sagacious · 20/05/2008 17:23

Well done Oregon!

Re motivation

For Christmas my dh bought me and my sister a day spa at the Sanctury in London.. I've said when I reach my 10% goal i'll go then (after reaching 10% I only have 10lb to go to reach goal weight)

I've also got various parties/weddings all in my calender and I'm determined to be a size 10/12 when I go to the Grand Prix in July

Its a very good incentive

lizandlulu · 20/05/2008 17:44

i am ment to be getting weighed tonight, but really cant be bothered to go. i sprained my ankle on saturday and can only hobble about, plus my mum is coming home from having a hysterectomy tonight and i have to cook tea.
yes excuses i know, but am so fed up.

an incentive might work as the 16 bikini is still hanging on my wardrobe gathering dust.

lizandlulu · 20/05/2008 18:01

mixedmama. how dare you look at others profiles without having one yourself, thats shocking
do one and put your worst photo on there so we can all see what you look like.

have you seen mine?? have you, have you??? took me ages to do it last week.

2GIRLS · 21/05/2008 12:04

Hi, I've been at WW for 4 weeks now and so far I've lost 11lbs, so going quite well!
Though I'm still 13st2.5 so there's still a way to go to my goal of 10st.

Sometimes I get a bit fed up thinking that I'll have to do this writing down everything I eat adn points counting for months and months, but I suppose it's worth it in the end!!

I was wondering if anyone knows what sort of bread is used for panini sandwiches? I think it may be ciabatta.
And does anyone know how many points a long bit of that bread is?

sagacious · 21/05/2008 12:12

sainsbury panini roll

Working it out on the tracker I think its 3.5 per roll (pack of 4)

sagacious · 21/05/2008 12:14

Gah ! Why is that link not working?

try again

mixedmama · 21/05/2008 13:49

I thought I had a profile... let me play around and then see if i have some pics lurkign on Facebook that I can transfer here.

igd · 22/05/2008 10:21

Hello everyone, can I join you please. Joined WW this week after doing SW and not losing any weight since October. I am doing Core plan. Is wholegrain rice the same as brown rice. I ate that yesterday thinking that it was listed on the core plan but when I checked my book this morning it's not listed.

lizandlulu · 22/05/2008 20:43

hiya igd. i think it is the same but not entirely sure. i dont think there would be enough in it to make a difference though.

lauraram · 23/05/2008 08:50

lizandlulu · 23/05/2008 09:33

hiya laura, welcome to our thread. well donr on your loss and birth of your little one! i too would like to lose 3 and half stone, even after losing 1 stone! i have always been on the large side, dieting, losing the weight, then putting it back on. i think when i was pregnant was the healthiest i have ever eaten and lost 'fat' while pregnant, and just put on the baby weight.
i wish i could be so disciplined now though!
i seem to have lost all will power.

lauraram · 23/05/2008 10:28

thank you liz this is only the second time i've tried to diet i was on w w before when i was 17 but didnt stick it out for long. i've got quite good will power once i set my mind to it so now that i've start i think i'll stick to it. i get a bit addicted to these things i'm quite obsessed with counting the points in everything lol. maybe its a good thing though cause atleast i know whats high in points and whats good for you. well you've done well losing a stone so far i cant wait to get to my first stone then i might fit in some of my old clothes before i got pregnant thats my first goal get into them then watch them getting to big. well i wish you luck with your diet and look forward to reading all about your weight loss in the future.

sagacious · 23/05/2008 12:10

This mornings weigh in

3lb off

That makes 11.5 lb's in 4 weeks

The struggle will be this week as its half term .. we have bbq's/days out ...

I have 1 stone 2lb's to get me back to my "wedding" weight

lizandlulu · 23/05/2008 12:40

well done sagacious that is a great weight loss in 4 weeks!!

my will power starts to wane after about 4-5 weeks.i get fed up as i am not organised enough to get different food and always end up eating the same things over and over.
