Lose 50lbs with me!

Cookiedough123 · 05/08/2023 11:48

Hi I just thought I would start my own thread so I can post daily!

I have recently started fasting and I am 10 days in and lost nearly 6lbs!

SW 15st 6.8
CW 15st 1

GW under 12st!

I am using a few apps to help.. Happy Scales.. I like the way this breaks it into 10 milestones so I have smaller weight goals to aim for. And Zero to track how many hours I have fasted. I have never tried fasting before but I feel like it’s using my willpower which I needed reminding that I had! MyFitnessPal i find if I don’t track my calories I forget what I’ve eaten. My goal is 1400 a day. And finally Fitbit.. I’m aiming for 10000+ steps a day.

Im a serial calorie counter! I got down to under 10st about 7 years ago and as amazing as I felt, I also felt amazing at 12st as my clothes were much more flattering on me. I had a baby last year and I’m nearly 10 months postpartum, frustratingly I actually lost weight after I had my son as I was so sick during pregnancy and then I have found breastfeeding made me super hungry and I piled weight on by constantly snacking. The breastfeeding has cut right down now and I am finding I am not as hungry and needed to kick myself into gear.

I have attached a pic of my MyFitnessPal weight log since 2015 to show how up and down I am!

Oh well done, it's such a lovely feeling when clothes actually fit 😊 where are you going for your holiday?

Cookiedough123 · 10/05/2024 10:18

We are going to Majorca! I’m really excited it’s my first holiday since before Covid. Can’t wait for that all inclusive buffet 😂

Ooh lovely 😍🌞

Bumblebeebum23 · 13/05/2024 07:51

Ahh I'm up 2lbs up this morning, which is so disappointing following my success at reaching 50lb loss midweek 😪 I am currently feeling bloated from too much bbq food yesterday combined with coming on my period so I'm hoping I can refocus and move back down fairly quickly 🤞

Cookiedough123 · 13/05/2024 10:29

Morning. I am similar this morning I was 12st 10.2 ! I am seeing it as a weekend water gain and going to keep on track and hope it drops again over the next few days which it usually does! So keep positive I’m sure it will go back down!

OP posts:
Cookiedough123 · 14/05/2024 12:26

Same weight again today! Hoping for a little drop tomorrow 🤞🤞🤞 I’m on a 25 day streak for over 10000 steps. Unfortunately the no chocolate didn’t stick .. I’m an addict and someone’s homemade brownies corrupted me last week although im eating WAY less than usual 🤣🙈 the fasting has mostly stuck give or take a day.

I have fallen off the diet wagon so badly. :(
No walk today, biscuits for breakfast, a glass of wine in front of me just now.

Having successfully done some dieting has actually made the thought of doing it again feel more emotionally loaded. :(

Try again tomorrow!

I hope you’re all doing better!

Bumblebeebum23 · 15/05/2024 13:12

Keep going everyone 😊 We've got this despite the ups and downs.

I am still stuck on 12st 2lbs, which is frustrating. I'm feeling a bit unmotivated, too, but I really don't want to ruin my progress, so I'm trying hard not to sabotage myself!

Bumblebeebum23 · 15/05/2024 16:36

I've just signed up to walk 300,000 steps in June. Hoping that gives me some motivation to up my step count 🚶‍♀️

Bumblebeebum23 · 16/05/2024 07:44

Back to 12st 1 and 1/4lbs this morning and feeling like I'm back in the right frame of mind.

Cookiedough123 · 16/05/2024 08:34

I was 12st 10 this morning. Last Thursday I was 12st 9! Don’t feel like I’ve eaten enough over a week to put on 1lb so hoping it’s water weight as I was less on Sunday!

@LittleGlowingOblong you just need to get back on it! I know easier said than done! Have you got any events to aim for over the next few months? I’ve found my holiday gave me a kickstart!

@Bumblebeebum23 well done for pushing through it to get your loss!

12st 1lb this morning... 1lb lower than last week but a little frustrating because I have been 12st 0lbs most of the week and way praying I would sneak into the 11s. Oh well, I will just keep going and will get there eventually.

On a brighter note, I am walking a lot more due to the nice weather 😌 and only have one more week until half term 👍😊

Hope everyone has a great week xx

Cookiedough123 · 22/05/2024 06:59

Morning!

I was 12st 8.4 yesterday which I’ve been yo-yoing for 10 days and then this morning I’ve woken up and dropped to 12st 7! So I’m happy with that. That also means I’m on my 42lbs lost which is 3st! Made up!
I also hit my 33 day 10,000 steps a day streak yesterday with a couple of days to go before my holiday. At least I stuck to one element of my mini challenge! Attached my most recent graph from Jan-now. Also updated my goal to 11st 7 by the end of July.

@Bumblebeebum23 the scales keep moving in the right direction that’s the main thing! It is really annoying when they are stuck though! Hopefully you will get your drop by the end of the week!!

@LittleGlowingOblong how are you getting on with your new diet?

Bumblebeebum23 · 22/05/2024 07:37

Congratulations @Cookiedough123 that's amazing! You should be so proud of yourself 😀

My scales are still stuck fluctuating between 12st 1lb and 12st 2lb which feels infuriating 🙄 but must keep going.

LittleGlowingOblong · 22/05/2024 11:34

To be honest I think I’ve slipped into low level depression. And drinking 1/2 bottle wine most evenings is a vicious circle. Trying to reset today.

Bumblebeebum23 · 22/05/2024 13:02

Sorry you are having a tough time @LittleGlowingOblong. Be kind to yourself and hope you are feeling more yourself soon x

Cookiedough123 · 24/05/2024 13:49

Happy Friday everyone. I have had a great weigh in today I was 12st 4.6! I seem to retain weight for like 2 weeks then have a big whoosh as I was 8.8 for 2 weeks!

Nearly got to where I wanted to be for my holiday my aim was 12 so I’m close enough! So many people have been giving out food today I’ve had so much cake and have been given so much chocolate!! Holiday is less than 2 days away now I am really excited and so glad I am 44lbs down!

@LittleGlowingOblong i am really sorry you are having a tough time. I hope things get better for you soon! Don’t forget the GP can provide you with some support if you need it

Wow @Cookiedough123 you'll be overtaking me soon! Well done and I hope it gives you lots of confidence on holiday 😀 you deserve it 👏

I was back to (just over) 12st 0lbs this morning. Just need to keep on it over half term (easier said than done) and hopefully I will finally see an 11 on the scales!

Happy half term 😄

Bumblebeebum23 · 25/05/2024 08:12

Weighing in early as I'm away for the bank holiday weekend.

12st 0.5lbs this morning, so still hovering just over the 11s bracket but 0.5lbs off since Monday. Hoping to maintain over the weekend and get back on it properly over half term.

Bumblebeebum23 · 28/05/2024 07:34

I've just seen an 11 on my scales! 11st 13lbs and 7/8 but still an 11 🤣 Not bad after a weekend away. Onwards and downwards!

Cookiedough123 · 03/06/2024 06:47

Morning I was back from my holiday yesterday and got straight on the scales this morning to see the damage! I really let go with the all inclusive holiday 😂
12st 10.2 which is up over 5.5lb. I am expecting some water weight loss over the next few days as long as I start eating like a normal person again. It’s so hard getting back into a routine when you haven’t had one but the holiday was well worth it! Hope everyone has a good week!

OP posts:
Bumblebeebum23 · 03/06/2024 08:41

I'm so glad you had a great holiday @Cookiedough123 and I'm sure the weight will come off as quickly as it's gone on.
I've pretty much stayed the same over half term. Fluctuating between 11st 13.5lbs and 12st 0.5lbs. I started my pledge to walk 300,000 steps in June for Young Minds yesterday, so I'm hoping that will give me a bit of a boost x

Cookiedough123 · 04/06/2024 12:24

A nice drop this morning to 12st 8.4. I had all these visions of coming back off my holiday and not seeing a 12 so glad that hasn’t happened! I didn’t eat amazing yesterday struggling to get back into it! Today so far I’ve fasted up to now and have my dinner at 1pm to look forward to! I am also on my 45th day 10,000+ steps a day streak! I think a week of fasting and I might be not far off the weight I was before I went away 🤞🤞

@Bumblebeebum23 Managing to stay the same over the half term is good as there’s so many temptations when you’re out and about! Good luck with the steps! How many are you on so far?

OP posts:
Bumblebeebum23 · 04/06/2024 13:22

That's great @Cookiedough123

I am aiming to do at least 10,000 a day, so just over 33,000 so far (not inc today). It's made me realise how few steps I actually do day to day! If I can get into the habit of making a concerted effort to go for a walk, then hopefully it will stick longer term. Your streak is an inspiration

Cookiedough123 · 05/06/2024 07:38

Had another good drop today I think all the water weight has come off now I have dropped to 12st 5.8. My lowest before I went away was 4.6 so not far off now! If I can get back to that I will be made up! Looking at my next goal again now which is getting into the 11s bracket which I will be so happy with if I can do it by the end of the month!

@Bumblebeebum23 i find most days not too hard to get to 10000 but when it’s been a long day at work, I’ve hardly been active, its 7pm and im on 3000 steps that’s when i struggle. Before my holiday i was forcing myself to go out and get them last 7000 steps rain or shine! And tbh once i got out i was really glad i did as the fresh air made me feel better! So im sure you will easily do it and like you said it’s good you noticed. I know they said it’s all about diet but being active definitely helps you with a few of them stubborn lbs!
