Hi I just thought I would start my own thread so I can post daily!

I have recently started fasting and I am 10 days in and lost nearly 6lbs!

SW 15st 6.8
CW 15st 1

GW under 12st!

I am using a few apps to help.. Happy Scales.. I like the way this breaks it into 10 milestones so I have smaller weight goals to aim for. And Zero to track how many hours I have fasted. I have never tried fasting before but I feel like it’s using my willpower which I needed reminding that I had! MyFitnessPal i find if I don’t track my calories I forget what I’ve eaten. My goal is 1400 a day. And finally Fitbit.. I’m aiming for 10000+ steps a day.

Im a serial calorie counter! I got down to under 10st about 7 years ago and as amazing as I felt, I also felt amazing at 12st as my clothes were much more flattering on me. I had a baby last year and I’m nearly 10 months postpartum, frustratingly I actually lost weight after I had my son as I was so sick during pregnancy and then I have found breastfeeding made me super hungry and I piled weight on by constantly snacking. The breastfeeding has cut right down now and I am finding I am not as hungry and needed to kick myself into gear.

I have attached a pic of my MyFitnessPal weight log since 2015 to show how up and down I am!

Monday weigh-in and still 12st 5lbs and ending the Easter break where I began! But I guess maintaining is better than a gain. I have been back on track this week, so I'm a little disappointed not to have lost but hoping being back in my usual routine of work/school will continue to help.

My weigh in this morning was 13st 3. Literally gained the same couple of pounds over and over! I will take it though and hope for a drop this week! Wasn’t bad but wasn’t good this weekend .. probably ate at maintenance but have been really good so far today. Can’t fast because the antibiotics I’m on make me really nauseous if I don’t take with food but only got 4 days left and I’ll try fasting again!

@Bumblebeebum23 glad you didn’t get a gain! Let’s really smash it out this week and get that loss! Also back to work/school today and will be back having my rice and chicken! Hoping the weather sorts itself out a little later as it is very wet and windy here and I fancy a walk later!

@Cookiedough123 your steady plod down the chart line is quite inspirational. My 10 week weight loss programme ended at end of March, and will resume in 10 days. However I’d say I only lost about 5 pounds in the last 5 weeks of it (after dramatic weight loss) and I’ve drifted back up to 13’10lbs. Getting below 13 and Al half stone is a real hurdle for me, and I’m finding it hard not to eat emotionally.

Back from holidays now and getting back on the weight loss path. I feel more experienced now and I understand how difficult and yet how simple the whole thing is. Baulking at the discipline required tbh but needs must!

Here we go…

Back to 13st 2 today the scales nearly said 1.6 and I was semi buzzing for half a second till it bounced back up to 2! 🙃

I'm slightly down too 😊 12st 4lbs and 5/8s this morning. Welcome back @LittleGlowingOblong 😊 and you're right, I've found this thread really inspiring and motivational despite the fact we have all been a bit hit and miss at times 🤣

I'm definitely on a slow plod, too, but despite ups and downs, I've kept going rather than completely giving up, and that has been the difference. Slow and steady wins the race and all that! 🐌🏁

Hey a great little loss this morning 13st 1!! I am pretty sure yesterdays brownies may catch up with me but I am happy for now!

@LittleGlowingOblong sorry I missed your message! Thank you it is definitely slow progress. You will get there, each pound you lose is further away from your original start point. I am 33lbs down now so when I have a bad few weeks I look at that number and think wow you’ve actually done well! Hope your first two days of the week have gone well!

@Bumblebeebum23 I agree sometimes if I haven’t posted in a few days I’m thinking right I need to weigh tomorrow so I have something to post! It’s definitely making me
more accountable. Well done on your loss!

I was 12st 4lb and 1/4 this morning. So, slowly moving down in the right direction. Fingers crossed for a decent loss on Monday 🤞

Monday weigh-in 12st 3lbs and a 1/4 so just under 2lbs lost this week.

Not much from me I was 13st 1.2. I definitely think the snacking is doing me no favours it just ups my calories massively. I go on holiday in 30 days so have set myself a challenge. Well a few challenges! The three things I am going to do every day till then are..

  1. No chocolate!!! Biggest one I am so bad 😂
  2. Fast until at least 11am every day .. managed till 1 today!
  3. 10000 steps no matter what. I miss one day a week sometimes if I have a parents evening or late meeting!

I'm hoping them three things will get me out of my little rut into losing consistently! The chocolate one I think will make the biggest difference 🤞🤞🤞

Happy this morning! Saw 12 flicker on the screen and it settled at exactly 13 stone which is my lowest yet. My previous low was about 0.6 in Nov so I’m super happy with my new low! Good start to the week!

Total loss so far 34.8lbs

My little challenges have definitely give me a kick up the bum and seem to have given me a bit of a reset in losing again. Have been waiting to see that number since November but admittedly not trying very hard then!

I know! It's been slow and steady, but I'm nearly at the 50lb mark! 😁 I feel so much better in lots of ways both physically and mentally. I am definitely feeling more confident and less self-conscious and it's been lovely to start feeling more comfortable in my clothes etc. My plantar fasciitis has completely cleared up and I feel fitter generally.

Still have over 2 stone to lose before I am at the top end of a healthy bmi, but taking things one step at a time.

It’s temporary but I’m already down to 13’6” (.75!). My scales are never 100% accurate.

Hi have had a good week, I have stuck to my fasting, no chocolate and over 10000 steps a day. This morning was 12st 12.6 so a small .2 loss. Can’t believe how much better I feel after cutting out the chocolate! I keep telling myself all inclusive is waiting for me at the end of may and I can have some treats then 😂.

@Bumblebeebum23 well done you should be so proud of yourself! I think sometimes it’s remembering when you have bad days how far you’ve come and you can basically start again any day!

@LittleGlowingOblong hows your first few days on your Bodyslim been? Glad you have lost so far!
