polly wahay !! you can do it

i decided to have a day off from my diet yesterday just to try and cure my headache.but it looks like the diet fairy has well and truely got her hold on me.i managed a whole 24 points lol.i'm allowed 21 anyway so all i need to do is 30 mins on my steeper and i'll have earnt the bps for the extra anyway.woo hoo! i can't pig out now even when i try.
i think i'm going to do it once a month though.i ate all the food i thought i was craving, bread, chips and sweets but to be honest they didn't taste that great
back on track today,so lot's of water and fresh healthy fruit and veg.yum.i can't wait

is everyone else still feeling positive?
you do realise if we carry on like this we will all be several sizes smaller by the time the weather warms up and how good is that going to feel

OP posts:
LoveMyGirls · 13/03/2008 07:47

Mindee's mum complimented me too today - i must be starting to look a lot smaller - 2 compliments in 2 days it really does feel good!

Now anyone know how i can sort out the fact that the more weight i lose the more my belly looks like a deflated balloon? At least when i cover it with clothes i'm looking much better than i did but would be nice to look naked too!!

LoveMyGirls · 13/03/2008 07:47

look good naked i mean - sorry!

katylessbumpy · 13/03/2008 07:52

lovemygirls invest in some bio oil.
use it everyday and you'll see a difference.
keep losing weight too.i can't guarantee you'll have a washboard stomach but it will look great

OP posts:
LoveMyGirls · 13/03/2008 07:57

I've got some bio oil - sil thoughtfully brought me some when i came out of hospital after having dd2 its really oiley though - hence the name i guess! (i don't like grease and sticky stuff) but i'll try it if it really works How long do you think i'd have to use it?

katylessbumpy · 13/03/2008 08:10

i just use my every night.i slap it on when i get in bed ,rub it in and then it doesn't go allover my clothes like it did when i tried it in the morning
i've been doing for a couple of months and have noticed a big difference in my stretchmarks too !

OP posts:
LoveMyGirls · 13/03/2008 08:16

I've also got quite a few scars from when i had a breast reduction, guess it would be good to try and sort them out too, I look like a patch work quilt under my clothes lol how dp still fancies me i have no idea tbh i must have a nice personality lol!!

I really want my whole body looking good by the time i've finished, i'm growing my nails (need to work on that) and putting cream on my face to reduce the spots (my mum always had terrible spots until she was 30! i'm 26 and they're not as bad as hers were but still not good!)

After all this effort i'm definitely not having any more dc's I'm more than happy borrowing everyone elses

(mindee is in bed btw incase wondering how come i'm on here do need to go and get dd2 ready though - she's playing aquadraw, shame to tear her away from it but we do need to leave soon!)

Mine · 13/03/2008 08:18

Almond oil is good too. Worked for me. I've been using it since my late stages of pregnancy when stretchmarks started to appear, and still use it now. Its really good.

You can get it over the counter at the pharmacy section in Boots and its really cheap.... about £1.20 and it lasts ages as you really don;t need that much.

katylessbumpy · 13/03/2008 08:22

lovemygirls,do you justify being on here because of that thread the other week?
i never give it a thought to be honest i just went to see what all the fuss was about as i'm nosey
dd is sat in front of me and i'm giving her breakfast as i type.lol.she's not bothered,it saves me getting stressed when she spits it back at me!
use the bio oil everywhere.it's also great for scaley knees.
do you have an ethel austins near you?
they had the ROC body cream for £2.it has worked wonders on my thighs

OP posts:
MrsFish · 13/03/2008 08:28

I'm sorry but I don't rate it, but that's just me. Oh and its not too oily or sticky, it rubs in really well and makes your skin feel nice, I just don't think it really helps the appearance that much

Ooops need to take ds to nursery....

katylessbumpy · 13/03/2008 08:34

maybe i'm using to much
i just slap it on and leave it lol

OP posts:
LoveMyGirls · 13/03/2008 08:35

I suppose I do yeah, that thread made me feel annoyed that people don't understand how lonely this job can be sometimes if i didn't have MN i think i would go loopy, I found mn a long time before i got pg with dd2 and became a cm when dd2 was 6mths old so was already an addict I love what i do and wouldn't want to change it, i'm very quick at typing and only do so when dc's are happy/ sleeping/ eating when i would otherwise be sat watching them eat each mouthful etc

Off out now catch you later x

Mrs F what don't you rate?

katylessbumpy · 13/03/2008 08:40

having children can be a lonely time.especially if you are in all day.you've got no need to justify yourself on here.

OP posts:
MrsFish · 13/03/2008 09:35

Lovemygirls - the bio oil perhaps I am expecting too much

katylessbumpy · 13/03/2008 09:43

i'm going to start slapping on fake tan tonight.i've got one of the dry spray ones but it looks better when i've got a base colour so i'm going to use my dove one first.
i'm so pale at the moment i look ill lol

OP posts:
Jahan · 13/03/2008 10:53

Hey everyone!
Better day dietwise yesterday (not altogether though - lost the plot with ds1. Not good. I feel like a horrible, evil mum but posted a thread in parenting asking for tips on how to be less shouty)

Went to the gym for 1/2 hr workout too.

I think an all over self improvement is a brilliant idea LMG. I'm going to try too.
I really need to grow my horrible nails and I've just started dry body brushing
www.healingtools.tripod.com/skinbrush.html
and have started drinking a glass of hot water with lemon first thing.

belcantavinissima · 13/03/2008 11:35

hi girls

sorry i keep disappearing, we are trying to sell our house atm so all a bit hectic. sadly the stress of it all is not making me shed the pounds. lost only half a pound this weeks weigh in so was a bit dissappointed as thought i had lost 2 how the hell did i get that so wrong???!
so trying to do better this week. i will be thin, i will be thin i will be thin

LoveMyGirls · 13/03/2008 12:15

I'm really hoping dp will propose this year so in a way i guess i'm preparing myself for my wedding day - not just that as I do want to look good anyway but it gives an extra reason to want to get to how i want to look, i'd like to wear a bikini on our honeymoon (or at least look good enough to be able to wear one!)

It's not just about getting the weight off so i can be fit and healthy it's also about caring about how i look and making an effort, it's also about time i started buying decent clothes because i'm planning to stay one size.

katylessbumpy · 13/03/2008 14:13

good afternoon
hiya bel ,long time no see.keep popping in.we'll kick your butt if it needs it

jahan and lovemygirls,i think making an effort and losing weight go hand in hand.losing weight makes you think about your body and how you look so you start to pay more attention to the neglected bits.
plus as you lose weight your interest in clothes grows as it get's more fun to go clothes shopping when things fit!
do you agree?
