i'm aiming to lose for 8 lbs.

OP posts:
susiecutiemincepies · 28/02/2008 20:59

I was talking to DH this arvo, we worked out I actually had about 2 hours sleep, maybe 3 at most last night, and the night before. I forgot I was talking to him for almost an hour at 1am as i was in agony. I'd gone to bed early, but not fallen asleep until ahlf 11 ish I think? then awake then, then again at half 3 and so on... infact, its been like that most of this week. I'm certain that it doesn't help your metabolism when you don't sleep. Not looking for excuses, but I'm really really not eating any crap at all

here is what i basically have every day

Slimfast x 2 ,
Fruit 2 - 4 pieces a day
1-2 yoghurts with a table spoon seeds and grains divided between them
Water
Tea (skimmed milk in tea )
Some kind of Meat ( no fat on it) grilled or roasted, with veg - no pasta OR potatoes this week at all, OR bread.
this week i've had a large baileys nearly every night.

Apart from the baileys, which is a new addition, why the Fook am I not losing weight? I know the obvious thing is no exercise but, i've not been able to 'exercise' properly for years and still kept slim. Plus, my calories taken in are about right for what i need to burn, i.e. my intake and output are about balanced. WHY AM I NOT LOSING PROPER WEIGHT

I know I will when I start slimming world, at least I hope I will. If its not working on slimfast, whose to say it will on sw ?

Sorry to be so negative when we've all been so nicely positive. I weighed myself, and I've not lost a single thing. infact, this morning I'd gained a lb, but later on i checked again and i was the same. ( an no, i'd not had any kind of evacuation )

LoveMyGirls · 28/02/2008 21:05

Evening all!
susie remember that although fruit and yoghurt and seeds are healthy they still have calories in them (i do this....i worked out i was having over 500 cals of muesli and yoghurt for breakfast before [shock} and it didn't even look huge

and (oh no!)maybe switch the baileys to vodka or some other non creamy spirit?

Discoverlife are you back yet? Can you have non-camouflage colours on your head for when the search and rescue come out for you

well done bel!!

Mylittlepud.....hosp food? Portion sizes? Give those leg weights a go?

anyway my hair is lovely....quite sassy really, short, sharp and shot with golds and reddish bits....ooh and i had some lovely bedhead stuff that smells of grapefruit and makes it all glossy....

and today
brekkie....muesli and skimmed milk
lunch 2 toast with spread and apple cheese
eve......small slice of onion quiche, bakedpotato, carrots and cabbage
just....4 quality street (Mmmmmm)

pollywobbledoodle · 28/02/2008 21:38

OP posts:
pollywobbledoodle · 28/02/2008 21:59

can't afford anything expensive now....new underwear set(went down well with dh), electronic diary (well i liked it a lot!)haircut and a new jacket which is gorgeous and allows room for shrinkage at the middle....took it in to have the sleeves altered today.....£21.50!!!!! (thought it would be a tenner or so)...it's not fair having short limbs (and long norks)....anyway need to do cheap things now for a while...

susiecutiemincepies · 28/02/2008 22:17

polly, PICTURES PLEASE

I've been really careful re the yoghurt and seeds. I only have fat free yoghurt so barely a calorie in sight in that... Of course the baileys is a v calorific thing, but I've only had that this week...

Re pain: I'm on morphine already, so can't go on anything else or at least, wont go on anything else. They've talked about a patch of some sort, of a 'new' drug, as good as / stong as morphine, but not ... I can't remember the name of it. Not a usual one anyway. I've had the injections into the spine and joints now, so can't have any more of those for some time. except mayb another in the sacro iliac joint possibly... need to replace my left hip now, as its really shit. But reluctant as I had the right one done and really hasn't made a huge differerence tbh.

I dont know, I'l just have to stick to SW to the letter when it actually gets here! < fingers crossed for tomorrow's post please everyone >

Katy, The dancing is off for next week, I can't find my pink spandex leotard... unless its pole dancing, in which case, I suppose i'll wear my leopard print thong... oh and i'll have do it with my funky walking stick... maybe a top hat and tails tap routine would be better ?

POlly, hop on the train from B'ham and meet us at piccadilly. Virgin do fab offers and deals dont you know but, you have to be a virgin apparenty. I had to prove^ it to the conductor last time...

susiecutiemincepies · 28/02/2008 22:22

stand up into circle

my name is Susie and I am a nappyoholic

sits down

Dh is going to be cross with me. I've just bought another 8 nappies, to add to the 4 I bought las week... well, she has grown out of her night time nappies, well, half of them, so I needed to replace them...I thought i'd just get some I can use for day and night this time. The same ones we've been using for daytime... I LOVE them. SO much. We now have one of every possible fuzzybunz made, and now in the brand new updated version. I did get the last 8 in a more unisex colour, so we can use them again for our next little one.... at the beginning of next year hopefully

Some are birth to potty ones, but most ( the fuzzi's ) are just size medium, which still have enough room in them for izzy to wear til she potty trains.

Do any of you with nappy age LO's use washables? If so, can you understand my addiction?

katylessbumpy · 28/02/2008 22:33

polly i love how you have treated yourself.you really do deserve it
you also deserve to come to manchester next week.you can show susie your special move with those grey furry knickers pmsl

susie i haven't used washables although i feel guilty everytime i change a nappy.i love all the different styles you can get them in.i'd be the same tbh.
when ds1 was little sainsburys used to sell benetton nappies in funky colours.they were my favourite ever disposable

OP posts:
pollywobbledoodle · 28/02/2008 22:35

pollywobbledoodle · 28/02/2008 22:37

hey? >

I'll go and have alook if I can find it!

susiecutiemincepies · 28/02/2008 23:32

ahhhh, yes, I see now! I did read that at the time, in a bit of a morphine haze... and it didn't make sense to me then. I actually thought you have bought some, as we had had a few links to new knicks form Bel (was it? ) at la Senza... All is clear now!

Good god, what an image Polly! sorry.... lol

As it was valentines day, when I went in for injections, I deliberately wore a pair of bright pinky red ones with hearts all over. I had to chuckle as she worked her way through the layers under the sterile field. I got a round of applause and a thank you. I honestly, really did ( i'll give you a flash Katy when I see you, not the whole lot of course, just the top! to prove i'm not telling porkies )

katylessbumpy · 28/02/2008 23:35

lol susie
i'm really looking forward to next week.my mum is picking the boys up so i can definately come

OP posts:
susiecutiemincepies · 29/02/2008 00:07

Oh fantastic katy! Is it ok if I stick to the original train then? Its just that I would have to get to euston by 11 otherwise, and because i'm SO disorganised and scatty, it makes it a bit of a rush...

I'll be on the train that gets in at 14:45 to piccadilly. Would be even better if you could actually meet me off the train! I panic so much, as its really tricky with a suitcase and pram. Dh will be in sunderland so he can't meet me this time. you could hold up a piece of paper with "susiecutie" written on it, like cabbies do at the airport! I've always wanted someone to be holding up my name, ever since I was really tiny!

No, seriously, you needn't do that, but, could you possibly meet us off the train? I wont be offended at all, if you don't want to, just that it'd take a bit of stress out of it for me

Oh I'm so excited! our dd's can make friends! god, i'm suddenly really nervous. what if you hate me in RL and dont talk to me on the thread any more? I'd have to just get really fat!

susiecutiemincepies · 29/02/2008 00:11

by the way, my real name is Susie just incase you thought it might be Hermione or ezmerelda and I'd picked a completely different name for here!

God, i'm already waffling nervously. I dont normally get nervous, what wrong with me? Oh god, I can't stop typing crap, i've got verbal diarrhea, whats it called when its not actually verbal but typed words?

I must stop talking at you right now before you change your mind... shit... i'll get me coat.... >>>>

susiecutiemincepies · 29/02/2008 00:12

oh no, i've scared you off! > or maybe you have just gone to bed at a sensible time...

katylessbumpy · 29/02/2008 08:20

susie you nutter! i went to bed.my laptop crashed i couldn't be arsed rebooting it.

of course i'll meet you at the train station
i'll be wearing a red rose with a newspaper under my arm

OP posts:
Jahan · 29/02/2008 09:29

Bel - Congrats on the dress size reduction! I've just been there too and I know how chuffed I feel! Did you get your 'small' summer dress?
I went shopping yesterday and bought a couple of (cheap) tops in a lower size because the ones I'm wearing look saggy and baggy!
Susie - Sorry to hear abou your lack of sleep and your lack of weight loss. I did slimfast with a friend a few years ago for 2 weeks. Both of us gained a couple of pounds! (I'm sure it does work for some people). Hopefully slimfast will see you right!

I'm still being good. Hopefully you all are too

discoverlife · 29/02/2008 10:47

Has anybody else got anything planned for Sunday (Mothering Sunday) my DD is being very secretive. I have to meet her at her work (the local swimming pool/ leisure centre) at 12.30 and thats all I know. I asked her should I dress up/dress down, wear shorts, take a swimming cossie? She said well you could take a cossie in a very offhand way. WTF is she going to do. It can't be a massage as the masseuse doesn't work on a Sunday.
I am betting that DS1 won't even remember about me, he has to cater for about 200 people on MS and knows its Mother Sunday, but I don't seem to come under the heading of mother who deserves to be pampered in his eyes, there have been times lately when I have wondered if he might just have a touch of Autism.
As for DS2 I know he has a card for me as he was ever so careful to hide it behind his back when he unpacked his suitcase after he came home from his nan's. I have asked as a general family thing for an Exercise video as a prezzie. Aren't I being good.
Right then Im off, my knee's are complaining already and I haven't left my chair. LOL.
