Just that really. Ordered one pen from Asda today. Had to send in pictures of myself so they could see me and me on my scales. Its not arriving until next Wed due to the bank holiday. I am 13st 7 pounds and utterly fed up of being fat. My height is 5ft 2

Has anyone else been around my weight and had good results with it?

I have been seeing a personal trainer for a few weeks now and really enjoying it. I also have a appointment with a private dietitian in June.

How have you guys found saxenda?

kissthegirlshesnotbehindthedoor · 06/07/2023 20:39

First day today, haven't noticed an enormous change, when does it kick in?

Diorinthecountryy · 06/07/2023 21:04

You should notice a difference tomorrow.

Inspirationperspiration · 06/07/2023 21:57

Yes a couple of days max

kissthegirlshesnotbehindthedoor · 08/07/2023 17:42

Well, this is witchcraft! Not fussed about food!

Day three and no side-effects - yet!

Diorinthecountryy · 08/07/2023 18:01

I know it's pure sorcery how it works. It's a really strange feeling to get used to and your head around.

DedicatedFolllowerofFashion · 08/07/2023 23:29

The people who are not fussed about food? Do you try to eat to your calorie limit to keep your body ticking over? I do . I see some shocking crap that people are eating on FB groups etc - how will they ever eat properly when they come off it? Surely it is all about getting the help to lose weight but actively trying to eat better?

Diorinthecountryy · 09/07/2023 15:56

I've seen some of those on tick tock and think to myself what a waste of time and money. I still have alcohol and a take away at the weekend but less then i used to. On the whole I've totally stepped back and looked at my portion sizes and what I am eating. I follow some great personal trainers on tick tock who have helped me a lot.

You definitely have to put the effort in and work with the injection or things will never change once you come off it.

Inspirationperspiration · 09/07/2023 19:21

Very close to running out - does anyone know where has it in stock??

Diorinthecountryy · 09/07/2023 19:32

Have you tried Asda or chemist4U?

Inspirationperspiration · 09/07/2023 20:50

nothing in either 😳

Diorinthecountryy · 10/07/2023 07:58

Fingers crossed somewhere will have it in stock soon. Could you email where you last bought it from and ask them when they think it will be back in stock.

kissthegirlshesnotbehindthedoor · 11/07/2023 18:47

So has anyone stayed on 0.6mg for longer than a week that would be happy to share your experience? It's working well so im wondering why people would move up. I don't want to inadvertently starve myself!

Diorinthecountryy · 12/07/2023 11:06

Yeah I stayed on 0.6 for a few weeks. It worked well with no side effects. I done it to stretch my pen out due to low/no stock.

I also took a break from it for about a week and started back on 0.6. During the week off I didn't notice a increase in hunger.

kissthegirlshesnotbehindthedoor · 24/07/2023 19:49

Whilst this is highly not allowed I imagine, I'm not getting on with Saxenda and have two full pens that will be going in the bin. If anyone is in East Sussex and would make use of it, feel free to PM me.

Diorinthecountryy · 25/07/2023 15:33

I have 2 and a half pens left. Don't think that I will be buying any more. I am not losing any weight although my body shape has changed. At the moment feeling like it's been a waste of money. Also this is tmi but I am fed up of being constipated all the time.

@kissthegirlshesnotbehindthedoor did you have bad side effects? Hope you are ok.

kissthegirlshesnotbehindthedoor · 25/07/2023 15:36

Didn't lose that much either (4lbs), constantly constipated and then suddenly two days of the most revolting Sulphur burps that I just couldn't take anymore. Also it has delayed my period by 3/4 weeks so I decided that this is just not for me!

Diorinthecountryy · 25/07/2023 15:49

That doesn't sound good at all. Think you are doing the right thing by ditching it. I am feeling pissed off. Not sure what else to try next to move this stubborn weight.

notanothetusername · 08/08/2023 12:34

Hi Coolcahuna! we we’re chatting earlier today on thread about Semaglutide - I’ve tried to PM you, not sure if you’ve got it?

notanothetusername · 08/08/2023 12:36

@coolcahuna Hiya! We were chatting earlier today on a thread about semaglutide - I’m going to try to Pm you 🤞🏻

Diorinthecountryy · 11/08/2023 11:43

So far, I've lost ten pounds in total since I started this thread. Think it was the 26th of May.

Even though its been slow/frustrating coming off. I am glad I've actually lost and going in the right direction.

I am wondering if its because I am exercising more. Maybe fat turning to muscle?

I've now went up to 1.2. Did anyone notice a significant drop in pounds when increasing the dose?

Still in two minds if I should continue on it. I've got two pens left.

Hope everyone is getting on well.

Lisa7781 · 11/09/2023 09:49

I am currently in week 3. I have lost 14 pounds. The side effects have been minimal, and are a little stronger on a day that I increase dosage. The notable side effects are a light nausea when it is time to eat, or after a meal in which I have eaten more than I should. I am incredibly pleased with the results of this medication. I feel good, and my stamina for exercise has increased. My cravings for sugar are non-existent. I carefully consider what I am eating. I try to get in fruits and vegetables, but if there is pizza at my house, I just eat a few bites. I encourage anyone who needs this medicine to try it!! Giving yourself an injection is actually easy. The needle is so small, you barely feel it - healthexpress.co.uk/saxenda

Like yourself I am a slow loser but then maybe it is because you have less to lose? I am on a couple of FB groups and some of the losses are staggering but then many of these people are starting from extremely high weights?
