Just ordered saxenda

Just that really. Ordered one pen from Asda today. Had to send in pictures of myself so they could see me and me on my scales. Its not arriving until next Wed due to the bank holiday. I am 13st 7 pounds and utterly fed up of being fat. My height is 5ft 2

Has anyone else been around my weight and had good results with it?

I have been seeing a personal trainer for a few weeks now and really enjoying it. I also have a appointment with a private dietitian in June.

How have you guys found saxenda?

Yeah I still exercise on it and have been fine. I don't exercise when its hot though as my body can't cope with the heat.

Are you drinking enough?

@coolcahuna well done that's a great achievement.

Asda said to me that they do tell your doctor. I would mention it while you are there anyway.

I'm down to one pen and struggling to find more.

🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Have you looked on chemist4U?

They had stock in last week and were taking on new people.

I'm really excited for my first weigh in tomorrow!

Diorinthecountry · 19/06/2023 17:35

Wishing you lots of luck. Let us know how you get on tomorrow.

@Azandme Boots have a list of stores that have stock on their online pharmacy website

Azandme · 20/06/2023 06:31

Thanks both. I got some from Chemist4U - more expensive than Superdrug but at least I have it.

Newuser75 · 20/06/2023 06:55

Can I ask do chemist 4 u tell your doctor does anyone know?

MarvelGal · 20/06/2023 07:13

5.9lbs down for week 1!

I skipped last nights jab and have had it this morning instead as taking it at night meant I was waking in the night with acid coming up so was almost being sick.

I have 50g of granola and 200g yoghurt for breakfast and a protein shake for lunch.

Not sure if chemist 4 u tells your gp I'm sure it said it did when I applied.

That's amazing ! Well done. I got that sick feeling in the night last week when I had eaten more one day than I have been. Horrible feeling! I also can't really drink alcohol, gone off it totally

coolcahuna · 20/06/2023 13:42

I'm going to the GP tomorrow for some meds. Have had saxenda from asda and chemist4u so will report back what they have on my records

Diorinthecountry · 20/06/2023 14:01

@MarvelGal well done that's amazing.

Yeah @Newuser75 they do tell your gp.

I've not used it for the past few nights as I kept on forgetting about it. Starting back tonight. Moving my scales day to Thursday this week. Thankfully its not as hot now so I can get back to exercises.

Congrats to everyone on the losses. I keep reading about this and ozempic and really want to try something (can't shift a pound through diet for some unknown reason 😭) but am very worried about losing and then regaining. Has anyone any insight on this? @saxendafirsttime you have been on it for a while so thought you may know. Thanks everyone!!

saxendafirsttime · 20/06/2023 16:28

@Ledochas i have consistently lost lbs whilst on it. I haven't stopped taking it to know if you regain when you stop. Just ordered another 3 pens so hopefully won't find out for a while!

MarvelGal · 20/06/2023 20:42

After moving my injection to this morning today is the first time I have craved food. Is that normal?

Diorinthecountry · 20/06/2023 21:42

Are you due to increase up?

It will probably settle once your body is used to the morning.

@Ledochas I've just had 5 days off. Haven't put anything on and didn't feel that hungry. It was surprising how used to my new ways I am. Eg no snacking etc.

OP posts:
MarvelGal · 20/06/2023 21:44

I am due to move up a dose but I can't afford more pens for a long while so I'm trying to stay on the lowest for the longest time possible.

Diorinthecountry · 20/06/2023 22:25

That's what am doing with mine trying to stretch them out as much as possible. I've got three and a bit pens left. If I've not lost a good amount by the time I've used them all up then am not buying any more.

How long have you been on it now?

I'm doing exactly the same. Managed to get the first pen to last 3 weeks, think officially its 17 days.

saxendafirsttime · 21/06/2023 06:43

@coolcahuna 45 days and lost 1st 2.5lbs

coolcahuna · 21/06/2023 09:54

@saxendafirsttime about twice as long as me and I should be on similar trajectory for weight loss. I don't think I would be prescribed any more after my current pens have run out as my BMI will be under 30.

But hopefully by that point it will be maintenance weight and will be able to do that through calorie counting ( and not stuffing my face again !)

Inspirationperspiration · 29/06/2023 18:54

I had a break when I couldn’t get any and started back on the lowest amount. No side effects but not as effective now though😫

Diorinthecountryy · 29/06/2023 21:26

@Inspirationperspiration are you feeling hungry with it?

I lost one pound last week and one pound this week. That's nine pounds off in total. Touch wood no side effects. I've went up to 1.2 tonight. Fingers crossed I am OK with that.

I've definitely lost inches as my clothes fit better and I don't look like a squished ball as much 😅
