Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

I'm getting a red warning on my dashboard page from junioer that 1mg is still not available. My repeat fills in 2 weeks so I need to decide what to do.

I'm pushing Saturdays dose back this week as I'm away until thurs. Partly to eke it out. Partly to avoid some of the bloated feeling I get on it. I've got 3 more doses left and will have to weigh up whether the price is worth it.

I'm doing v well on 0.5 but may try counting clicks to lower it slightly to a, get another dose out of a 0.5 pen but also b, to see what I'm.like on a lower dose.

I am only overweight now. And the lowest weight I have been in many many years. Back in a size 14 and having lots of people comment (apart from.the dds and dh of course!). This makes me nervous for coming off it an undoing all the good work!

BrendaLee · 23/08/2023 17:37

@Whisper23 Just wondered if it was one of the ones who hold your money and then tell you it's not available!
Will go with them I think and see what happens.
Thanks for your answer - I feel reassured!

TheGoodEnoughWife · 23/08/2023 19:46

I have ordered from RightAngled a few times and no probs at all.

Scaredtobegin · 29/08/2023 09:07

Has anyone had issues with urination? The last few weeks I’ve had this increased need to wee but no other accompanying symptoms. I also don’t always feel the normal relief and satisfaction when finishing a wee. I had an accidental break a bit longer than normal between last injections and I realised it went away, now I’m back towards the 6/7th day since I injected and it has come back. Unsure if it’s related

Zempy · 29/08/2023 14:36

I'm definitely having to get up more often at nigh to wee. I don't think it's more during the day, but I go a lot anyway...

Kfjsjdbd · 29/08/2023 16:24

@Scaredtobegin it’s really interesting you say this because I am weeing a lot more, and then going back a couple of minutes later to wee more. But I think it’s because I’m drinking so much water during the day.

Scaredtobegin · 29/08/2023 18:58

@Kfjsjdbd maybe that’s why. I’ve been researching and found a link - apparently it sometimes is due to increased sugar secretion so it can force more wee. I noted it on holiday and thought I had a UTI - took antibiotics which helped but didn’t solve - but I tested neg for UTI and I only have increased urination. I’m so paranoid tho it’s affecting me a lot

SkinnySally · 30/08/2023 15:19

Has anyone been able to successfully get a refund from MyJuniper? I signed up to their programme in April and since haven’t made it to 1mg because of shortages.

TheGoodEnoughWife · 30/08/2023 16:23

A refund in what way? Have you been receiving (and using) 0.5 pens? They warn me every time my order is to be fulfilled and so I have the opportunity to cancel or postpone.

SarahC50 · 31/08/2023 13:46

@Bwen if you've had no side effects on the lower dose you should be okay. I've had nausea from day one and it worsened with each increase. Watch your bowels on ozempic it can go either way with no warning xx

Menora · 01/09/2023 12:05

Hi all haven’t updated much as not much going on. I lost 2.5 stone since April/May using 0.25 and 0.5mg ozempic
then it ran out

I gained a few lbs back pretty much immediately this could have been due to immediate return of constant hunger so I was eating more, not sure, I tried really hard to stick to all my good habits. I had no gains at all whilst on Oz just plateaus

I have more weight to go, or to at least attempt to maintain this weight, it’s better than the weight I was before.

I don’t mind my weight as much what it is now, BMI is closer to 30 than it was! My body shape is curvy bottom heavy so I was a size 18 on the bottom when I started and last week I got into some stretchy size 12 trousers

so I ended up going back onto 0.25mg to see if I can stave off hunger to allow myself more time to get closer to a healthier weight or just not gain back yet. Is it easier to gain a few lbs back when you are nearer your goal than halfway? I got so demoralised

Then I don’t know what I am going to do.. I don’t want to be on this forever.

LittleDitto · 07/09/2023 07:58

I’ve cancelled my juniper.
it’s just too expensive. They put me on 1mg then took me off it because of low supplies. They then sent emails out saying wegovy was becoming available and when I asked about cost they said I wouldn’t be eligible because they were handing it out to people on 1mg first, even though I had been upped to 1mg!

they just want the money and I’m not willing to part with it any more. My weight loss has stopped since being on the .5. They just don’t care!

Lucydoods1 · 07/09/2023 08:29

Ozempic newbie here, took my first shot on Tuesday. Fingers crossed.

Been busy for the past few days reading all the threads.

so far so good.

SarahC50 · 07/09/2023 09:29

@LittleDitto totally agree juniper have been a shitshow start to finish they seem to lurch from catastrophe to catastrophe. With the price increases then the stock issues. They seem to handle everything badly.

I've been with them six months and like you hoped to be moved onto wegovy 1mg but got a snooty email saying other customers were their priority. Nobody is on 1mg as juniper has none of it.

They really don't care and I feel mis sold a treatment plan then overcharged us for a sub therapeutic dose x

BobShark · 11/09/2023 11:41

I was prescribed Ozempic today by my GP, I have gained 20kg in the last 18months following long covid and depression.

I probably have 30kg to lose, at 114kg and 5ft 10 with a bmi of around 35!!!

I'm terrified of the side effects, really the potential for vomiting as I'm emetophobic.

I'm going to wait until my sone goes to stay with his dad this weekend before I take my first shot, then I can be alone with dealing with it and not trying to run about after an energetic 10yo.

Any tips?

I'm thinking of a morning shot so I can manage any side effects rather than waking I'll during the night.

I'm sure I'm overthinking it, I did the same when I was prescribed Fluoxetine and had no I'll effects from that.

MatthewsMumFromTikTok · 11/09/2023 12:28

Is ozempic available again?

I've just started wegovy as alternative

Twiglets1 · 11/09/2023 13:16

You have got the wrong end of the stick @BobShark It can take several weeks before the nausea hits, it won't necessarily happen at the weekend! Or at all - you may be one of the lucky ones who doesn't get nausea or vomiting but there is no way of knowing.

BobShark · 11/09/2023 20:02

@Twiglets1 oh really! Thanks for clarifying, I really thought it was a day one response.
I will start today in that case 😊

Whisper23 · 11/09/2023 21:06

Out of interest @BobShark , are you diabetic or was it prescribed just for weight loss?

BobShark · 11/09/2023 21:07

@Whisper23 just for weight loss

Peridot1 · 11/09/2023 21:35

@MatthewsMumFromTikTok - they are the same drug. Ozempic is for diabetes and Wegovy is for weightloss. Same drug. Just different dosing. Wegovy goes u to higher dosages ultimately.

Geggs · 11/09/2023 23:21

@BobShark You may not feel nauseous at all, you may feel it immediately. You may have other effects. Everyone is different and there’s no way to know really, until you start.

I tend to feel really tired approx 48 hrs after I’ve injected and a little nauseous overall, but other than that I’ve been ok . I’ve been on it 5 months now and I’ve never been sick. I wish I started sooner, but I put it off because I was worried too about the side effects.

BobShark · 11/09/2023 23:25

Thanks @Geggs, just had my first shot. Fingers crossed and thanks for the support 😊

Rosebud90 · 12/09/2023 09:34

I haven't had any nausea or vomiting, in fact I've had very few side effects other than a bit of constipation! (counting my blessings!) 12lbs down in 3 weeks 👏

ShortLass · 12/09/2023 20:36

I ordered some. I thought - what the hell.

Decided to start Ozempic (as you all seem to have done well on it), rather than Wegovy and bought from Right Angled. I had to upload photos of me - that was the first time I've ever taken a load of photos and assessed in which ones I looked the fattest and ugliest to upload!

Last year, I got put on some medication which took me from overweight to obese, putting on 2.5 stone in three months. I need the help to shift it.
