Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

I know that this question has been asked before but grateful to hear about more recent experiences. I am travelling to the US for 2 weeks and would need to take a brand new pen with me to continue my treatment plan. Has anyone travelled with a pen? Did you need a prescription? And were you asked questions about it? I am travelling with the husband and daughter and haven’t told them I’m on Ozempic and would hate to have to admit it to them because I get caught at airport security.
Also, did you have to take the pen out of your hand luggage and put it in a clear bag?

Blueskies55 · 07/07/2023 10:48

Hi
Has anyone seen any ozempic 1mg pens in stock?
Thanks x

MotherofTerriers · 07/07/2023 11:36

Daily Chemist is showing them as in stock but I ordered a few days ago from them and my order is still in a queue for approval, they haven't responded to my email asking for a timescale. I'll probably give it another few days and then cancel. That's the only 1mg I've seen recently

Blueskies55 · 07/07/2023 12:02

@MotherofTerriers thank you. Gosh it's just so expensive. This is the most I've seen for a 1mg

Anyone else had palpitations after taking ozempic?

I was on saxenda previously at maximum dose but decided to move to ozempic because I felt like saxenda wasn't making me feel full any more. First week, I did 0.25 ozempic. No symptoms but still experiencing hunger. Went up to 0.5 for my second week (having previously been on 3mg of saxenda, 0.5mg ozempic was the recommended starting dose but i started lower the first week out of trepidation!). So took 0.5mg dose Wednesday night. Yesterday and today I've felt nauseous and dizziness but also been having palpitations on and off. Google tells me that this isn't unheard of. Obviously I'm concerned. I'm just resting and hoping it passes. Not sure if this means ozempic is unsuitable for me or I need to drop back to 0.25, or to persist and hope my body adapts to the side effects.

Blueskies55 · 07/07/2023 13:51

@BlackFlyChardonnay I got this mildly but my GP said it could be due to low blood sugar and not eating enough. I'm also anaemic. I would get a full blood test check up to be sure your ok to take it. X

Thanks. That makes sense actually, as the nausea and dizziness are also signs of low blood sugar.

MrsPat22 · 07/07/2023 17:39

For the first time in years I've actually felt and heard my tummy rumble. Usually I am constantly snacking. I'm astonished.

Gonewith · 07/07/2023 17:59

I am genuinely surprised how little I have thought about food and I only took my first dose on Wednesday evening. Is everyone making a conscious effort to eat small meals even if you aren’t feeling hungry?

AlwaysGreen · 07/07/2023 19:43

Just done my 1st 0.5mg dose. Noticed there is still some left in the pen, I read it could be another 0.5mg dose potentially, did anyone use theirs fully? It's my starter pen, 0.25mg.

I got 0.25 x 4 and 0.5 x 2 out of my 0.25mg pen.

AlwaysGreen · 07/07/2023 21:41

Thanks @TheGoodEnoughWife , would be great to get another week out of the pen!

TheGoodEnoughWife · 07/07/2023 21:44

Every drop counts with the current cost!

QOD · 08/07/2023 07:06

I can’t believe how amazing this stuff is. I’ve lost 15lb in 4 weeks
crackers.

im still on 0.25 but did a kind of extra few clicks this week just to see

I have no hunger at all, plan my brunch and dinner and enjoy every bite but eating tiny portions
it’s like the early days from my gastric bypass 12 years ago

MrsPat22 · 08/07/2023 10:44

I'm actually having to remember to eat to fuel my body.

Blueskies55 · 08/07/2023 13:43

I'm on my first 0.5 dose. Not even interested in food.. I usually start eating at 11 and get a little niggle to eat but nothing today. Gonna force myself to eat so I don't get super low blood sugar. Food chatter just completely gone!

Secretkeeper50 · 08/07/2023 17:52

Have been on ozempic a while. Rarely very hungry so eating less but wondered if anyone eat lots before their next injection? mine is due tonfiht and it seems I always eat lots, like I’m craving things even when I’m not really that hungry. Anyone else?

Yeah day 6 and 7 is tough tbh, the hunger comes back and I start sabotaging

MotherofTerriers · 11/07/2023 10:46

Quick update - daily chemist cancelled my order, said they can only supply NHS at the moment but hope situation will improve in 4-8 weeks time.

RichTeaCheddars · 11/07/2023 10:51

@MotherofTerriers oh that's a shame they cancelled your order.
Did they say why they think it might improve in 4-8weeks? Or do you think it was a stock reply?

Hoping they have some insider knowledge and are right that it'll improve!

MotherofTerriers · 11/07/2023 11:25

I would like to hope they have some insider knowledge but suspect it's a stock go away message. They did offer me 10% off when the supply chain normalises, but again, that's pretty meaningless if it doesn't.

MotherofTerriers · 11/07/2023 11:26

Annoyingly, you can still order on their website - but I presume they will sit on the order for a week then cancel. I suppose that would get a 10% off voucher...

user1480930113 · 11/07/2023 20:14

Hi All,

Can i join in. My pen was delivered yesterday but its a 0.5mg....I was expecting a 0.25....maybe a stupid question but can i just administer a lower dose and then does that mean i get twice as much out of the pen?

I am a little nervous to try it.

Gonewith · 11/07/2023 23:49

Hi user @user1480930113 I took my first does on Wednesday evening and have had absolutely no side affects so far. I was so anxious to do the ise the pen but it really was pain free. Good luck! It’s made a massive difference in how much I’ve ate the last week- have not felt the urge to binge or overeat once.

MrsPerfect12 · 12/07/2023 11:03

That's me had the dreaded email saying the plan was going up. I've cancelled as they're still only offering 0.5 and I'm I've only lost 2lbs in the past 6 weeks since sticking at this dose. I'm a bit gutted. They offered Trulicity but I need to research this before I go for it. I have a couple of weeks left of this pen so I have time to do my research.
