Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

@Menora They fit and they work.

mumwheresmyribena · 22/05/2023 06:38

The brand doesn't matter. I bought these from Amazon, they do fit. 100 is overkill and pharmacies sell them cheaper but the convenience worked for me. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08KSN6C31?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Thanks so much x

Menora · 22/05/2023 09:10

Thanks re the needles.
so I worked out which scales were correct and it was the ones I am heavier on 😭🤣
I haven’t had much loss yet (just started 2nd week) but I am ok with that, as this wasn’t going to be a quick fix anyway

ohangel · 22/05/2023 11:19

I've taken ozempic for the last two months and have had to stop as was finding the side effects too much despite only reaching 0.5 dose.
I have anxiety, IBS and insomnia and it seemed to exacerbate every single one of these unfortunately! The worst being an urgent need to rush to the loo every now and again that made me have to plan my routes outside the house very carefully 😂
I lost half a stone so am going to try not to immediately put it back on and maybe give slimming world a go.
I'm glad it's working for most of you and hope you can achieve your goals!

FMLWTF · 22/05/2023 12:00

Does anyone find the scales sent with the first My Juniper order aren’t accurate? They give me a different reading every time I step on. I’m sticking with my original set.

doodles55 · 22/05/2023 12:27

Could you go back to .25?

Or maybe try saxenda? My sister is getting on really well with it.

egowise · 22/05/2023 13:41

I'm 2 and a half weeks in and I've lost 9lb. This is more than I've ever been able to lose alone. I'm so pleased!

Put one foot on until they read 0.000 once set , step on and your weight should be accurate .

ohangel · 22/05/2023 14:20

Thanks I will have a look at saxenda!

OzHopes · 22/05/2023 14:20

I’ve been wondering about changing to Saxenda just because of supply issues with ozempic even though I’m getting on well with it. Anyone else thinking of similar? I’m worried I’m going to get to the point that I won’t be able to get (or afford) a new pen when I’ve finished current one. I’ve seen statements about the supply issues continuing through 2023. Has anyone swapped over and do you need to have a gap between them?

Bargellobitch · 22/05/2023 15:01

I'm on day 7 of my second week I really haven't lost a lot which I'm surprised at as my appetite has been small. I'm noticing today I'm hungry but the few days after I had my injection last week I really wasn't at all. How's anyone else feel a couple of weeks in?

I'm wondering if it's got a 7 day half life if when I inject again I'll feel it even more so?

I'm thinking about it!

mumwheresmyribena · 22/05/2023 17:37

It doesn't reach it's full steady-state strength until 6-10 weeks @Bargellobitch, it's not until then that the blood sugar effect reaches its therapeutic level, until then you only get the "side-effect" appetite suppression (if you get it) and the slowing of food through your gut. Both of those are helpful but it's the level blood sugar that's the "biggie".

Bargellobitch · 22/05/2023 17:40

@mumwheresmyribena i do know this but it's helped to reminded to not expect stuff too quickly. I think I just thought aside eaten very little most of the week I hoped for a bit more. But you're right!

mumwheresmyribena · 22/05/2023 17:43

If it helps, I think we're all the same@Bargellobitch.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 23/05/2023 18:19

Fair play to Myjuniper, they've reviewed my prescription and my next order (still at the £195 original price) will be for a 1mg pen.

It's a shame the discount codes etc are no longer active and the pens are harder to find, but I'll reorder next week and the 1mg pen should last me 6-8 weeks.

Lilyy45 · 23/05/2023 19:08

OzHopes - If you're looking to move to saxenda then I do recommend.
My first pen lasted me 30 days as I only went up to 1.2 and that was after 19 or so days at 0.6.
For me the appetite suppression worked within 2 days with minimal side effects.
Only ate 2 healthy meals a day with a snack such as a cereal bar or fruit which is why I lost nearly a stone in a month. :)

That was a brilliant loss! Had you been on ozempic originally or only Saxenda ? I’ll see if I can get my next pen ok but otherwise it might be easier to change over.

Lilyy45 · 23/05/2023 19:34

OzHopes - Thank you! How's your weight loss journey going?
So I wanted to buy Ozempic however found it incredibly hard to find like everyone on here it seems. So, I decided to get 2 saxenda pens and give it a try. Its cheaper than Ozempic but I think when you go to the highest dose then its a new pen every 6 days which works out to be expensive.
Have you had any bad side effects such as nausea?

I’ve been really lucky and not had any side effects, maybe slightly queasy a couple of times but nothing that interfered with my day really. I started mid March and now done about 9 weeks and lost @20 lbs so I’m really pleased with that. BMI still v high @38 but down from 42…!
I’m just keen to keep going with it but as I look across Facebook support groups for ozempic I can see an increase in difficulty accessing it so I’m exploring Saxenda as a back up. I think I didn’t choose that in the beginning because I thought it was more expensive but of course ozempic has increased in price now anyway.

Bargellobitch · 23/05/2023 20:05

3rd 0.25mg dose today. I'm feeling rough like I'm coming down with something. I'm very busy at work so it could be un related. I also noticed yesterday and today I was hungrier. But then the few days after I take it I can't have much. Anyone else noticedthse things?
