Hi all. Just spotted the previous thread filled up so thought I’d start a new one quickly.

Can I ask what the slack is? I've used juniper for the first time this month on the old 4 week regime but haven't heard about the slack. I've not been told they're moving me to the more expensive 40 day regime but I'm hoping stock will back with other suppliers by the time I need a new pen so I can cancel them.

It's just an online community on the Slack platform for peer to peer support but TBH I'm thinking of ditching it - these threads are far more helpful and I've lost count of the number of people who clearly haven't read about the titration process "I injected my first dose this morning and don't feel different yet" 😭

Hi, does anyone have a discount code and suggestion of where to buy Ozempic from?

I ordered from Juniper 3 days ago...paid £145 with a discount code. They have gone back and forth with various questions for 3 days and have today said they can prescribe to me but now prices have gone up to £295 for 40 days!!

People need to forget about discount codes.
It seems like it has become hard to source due to very limited supply which means that these private companies won’t be offering discounts for a while. Prices have risen for new customers at companies like Juniper and no doubt others.

I did my fist injection this morning. How soon have people noticed a difference if at all with appetite? Also what side effect if any did people have straight away?

I noticed straight away, it's been impactful since my first dose. Some people need to build up to it, and there's no way of knowing which you will be until you've taken it unfortunately!

What do youean straight away? With in minutes? Or the first week?

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 09/05/2023 19:56

Within minutes. I got a weird taste in my mouth and felt really full from my tea. But like I said, everyone is different and just because you don't feel it straight away doesn't mean it won't work for you.

Oh wow! Yes we are all different so I won't take this as a sign it not working! Glad it's working for you though. How have your side effects been?

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 09/05/2023 20:04

Barely any, thirst and feeling cold mostly. I'm on week 9 or 10 now and am 21lbs down.

Hey everyone. I've bought ozempic and have it in my fridge. I'd planned to take it tomorrow. But I'm on my period. I have endometriosis and get awful symptoms. Mainly pain, low mood and feel wiped out. Does anyone else have experience of starting it on your period of it's interaction of any with peiofd? I want to get the best start so for the sake of a few days I could wait. Any thoughts?

Hello! I have endo and took my first dose as my period began. Normally, my period begins with brown blood (this has been since I came off pill 8 months ago) and then goes to painful, red blood. However, I noticed my period kind of disappeared a bit… I’ve still got some brown clots etc but it has definitely stopped the period being the same. Could be that I was fearful of it though so I am making myself feel this.

otherwise no negative side effects.

KelmenaBallerina · 09/05/2023 22:21

Hi, does anyone know where has stock? I normally purchase from health express but they are out of stock and can’t seem to find it anywhere apart from Juniper, but they have changed programme and price!

KelmenaBallerina · 09/05/2023 22:28

Has anyone tried the tablet form rybelsus? Wondering if they are the same if I can’t get hold of the pen 🤔

Whisper23 · 09/05/2023 22:33

Quickmeds had some earlier, not sure whether they still do.

AlbertCampion · 09/05/2023 22:50

Hello.

I started Ozempic last week, and have just injected my second dose tonight. I've found I had absolutely no appetite for the first three days, then slowly be cravings returned until by day seven I was constantly hungry again.

So, I was wondering if anyone has tracked their weight loss consistently against their dosage? I've read so many amazing stories on here, but I was wondering if anyone could tell me what to expect? In my first week I've lost four pounds - could this continue? Could I lose a stone in a month?! I was wondering if weight loss slowed as dosage increased?

FMLWTF · 10/05/2023 00:21

My journey has been rather odd with Ozempic. Tonight I took my fourth dose. The first week I lost 4lb, had very little appetite, some mild nausea and felt very cold and shivery the first night. Week 2 I maybe lost 1lb, some appetite suppression but it faded completely by the time of the second dose. Week 3 I’m not sure I have felt the drug doing anything at all. No weight lost and am back to wanting to eat snack food/sugar. Let’s see what dose 4 brings. I’ve got more needles and there’s loads left in the pen for another couple of doses so who knows.

Did anyone else get an email from juniper saying the next prescription would soon be sent? Even though I haven’t requested it? Is it an automatic thing I’ve signed up to? Have emailed but no reply since last Friday…

It’s normal to lose a lot in the first week which will be partly water but you won’t lose 4lb every week. Some weeks you will only lose 1 or 2lbs or won’t lose anything which is called a plateau.

RausageSoul · 10/05/2023 08:31

@AlbertCampion

Glad you're not feeling any adverse effects, so take that as a big win.

In terms of weight loss you need to think about fat weight, and to lose 1lb of Fat in 7 days roughly requires a calorie deficit of 500 cals a day under your maintenance goal.

So your first 4lbs is most probably not all fat, but it's best to get your head in the mindset that 1-2 pounds is healthy, sustainable and achievable.

Yes, juniper is a subscription. If you go onto your dashboard there are options there to either delay two weeks or to cancel.

MulticolourTriangles · 10/05/2023 09:26

Just had a notification from Juniper that my first pen is being delivered today. Does it need to be taken at the same time every week or just the same day? I go on holiday in a few weeks then start a new job when I get back so a bit apprehensive about potential side effects for both but figure there's always going to be something coming up so I may as well start.

AlbertCampion · 10/05/2023 09:30

Thanks for the advice! In terms of side effects I have had some miild nausea, but nothing too bad so far. Really worried to read about the shortage of injections though!

FMLWTF · 10/05/2023 10:10

It doesn’t need to be taken at the same time but you should do it on the same day. Most people find the effects have largely worn off by injection day so it doesn’t matter when you take it.

FMLWTF · 10/05/2023 10:11

Thank you sameiam I have logged into the dashboard and delayed by two weeks. They were going to ship another one tomorrow so I just did it in time. I figured I have extra needles and can get two more shots out of this pen so will decide nearer the time.

SkinnySally · 10/05/2023 11:22

Thought I would provide an update. Had my second 0.25 shot today and I’m down 5lbs (5ft3, 196.5 lbs to 191.5 lbs)! I would dearly love to see the 180s on my scale in the next couple of weeks so that’s my mini goal.

No side effects in the past week other than feeling very thirsty. I would say my appetite was reduced by half in the first 4 days and then for the rest of the week I’ve been hungry but still able to stick to my meal plan. Almost cracked last night though - went as far as getting my husband to buy me my favourite bottle of wine but managed to just stare at it in the kitchen and not pour a glass 🤣. I drink a lot of my calories - lattes, juices and alcohol - and working hard to limit these to the weekend.

TheCatsAreOurQueens · 10/05/2023 17:51

Could anyone let me know where ozempic is in stock? I was using Health Express but they have sold out. Thank you!

Oooiwanna · 10/05/2023 20:40

has anyone noticed any changes to their periods on ozempic? Maybe it’s just peri but it’s a bit of a coincidence that this month my cycle was earlier and longer!
