Thanks Choc Spiders. Will try to. Wake up every morning with good intentions which fall by the wayside by 11am.

chocolatespiders · 18/03/2008 21:27

have you tried to plan what you will eat for the day and once you have eaten that then thats it no more?

I do know how you feel i was caught in that horrid cycle and it has only improved in the last 5 days...

moodlumthehoodlum · 18/03/2008 21:52

No. I haven't tried that, and I need to. For me, I have real weak spots, I forget or don't have time to have lunch, and then probably eat 95% calories between 5-8pm.

Also, I went to the cash and carry and bought smarties and freddos (sorry MN foodpolice) in catering size boxes for dd's party. And a freddo never seems like a bad idea.

Thanks for your wise words CS. Good to know that I'm not the only one to fall off the wagon.

fedda · 18/03/2008 23:33

Did anyone watch the programme diets we forgot on channel 4? it was interesting to see how people used to eat, dress and ho hard it is to follow these days. there will be next programme in this series next week.

Eddas · 19/03/2008 08:22

hi everyone, can't wait until next wed when I can go to a ww meeting. I have been thinking about going tomorrow night so i don't have to wait a week but really i'd be better off going to the am one, i think. oh I don't know. I could go bymeslf if I did an evening one then ds could still sleep in the mornings. Oh I don't know which one to do. I do know that i'm going to get a monthly pass when i do go one decision made at least

Haven't been dieting but weighed myself this morning and am still the same so that's something. I have been eating less rubbish but still eating some so I guess that's why i've not gained or lost.

I have given myself a target to lose some weight, not sure exactly how much but in a months time i'd like to be smaller. Maybe in a size smaller clothes that may be a little ambitious

I think this was an old list, but never mind - it is easy to update ourselves on it. I did just over 2.5 last week which I am really pleased with because I have been cheating on the CD - it all went a bit pear-shaped because I had to do what they call 'add-a-meal' and that turned on my appetite again big time! Have decided not to bother going back to it strictly until after Easter. Have bought hot X buns for Friday and DH has found me a chocolate alchemist egg which is just to die for (bitter chocolate, studded with ginger. Heaven). Beats 30 creme eggs hands down. then we have decided to do that really traditional Easter thing. Not Lamb, Not Turkey, No. We are going to head to Pizza Express for sunday lunch for a Diavolo! We kind of agreed that if we were going to take a few days off at least we should make sure we cover all our favourites!

Well done to everyone getting straight back on the wagon after falling off. Apparantly this week is the week when most dieters wobble (so to speak) - not to do with Easter but all to do with the final bit of New Year resolution/motivation falling away, so I think anyone that holds it together this week (never mind dropping weight) will be doing really well.

Moodlum, welcome back. And you are right about Freddos. What harm can a cute little Freddo do?! My Dad has the belief that if something is small, it can't make you put on weight. He is always saying, "Sure, there is nothing in those brownies/chocolates/truffles/mousses". I like his thinking. Wish it were true!

Eddas . My dh posted your voucher except he didn't! He totally forgot and produced it yesterday looking very embarrassed. I sent it last night so should be with you tomorrow. So sorry and dh sends his apologies too.

Squiffy, that is interesting about the wobbles this week. I agree if you are having proper time off, then have your favourites. It is always nice to see the resurrection of Jesus celebrated with a DIAVOLO!!!
Enjoy.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. We are off to Ireland (where I am from and all the family still live there) until Tuesday and I will need a will of steel. My nephew is being christened on Sunday and I am his Godmother so there will be a lot of foody celebrating. Fingers crossed I manage to avoid the worst.

By the way, another shocker, those medium sized Lindt bunnies (200g) are 24 points each and they are really quite small. Saw one last night and gasped in horror!

ShortandSweet · 19/03/2008 12:47

Hey ladies, I have lost another 1.5lb so thats 4.5 in 2wks.

Thanks ags, Hope you have a lovely time in Ireland. I am from there too so I think you will probably put on a 1/2 stone but it will be worth it, all that yummy food that you can't get in England, you will be in heaven

Well done the losers, keep at it everyone else. Not had chance to think diet much this week and think it will pay next week (eating a very fab marble choc brownie as I type!) - think I need a gain to shock me into counting again rather than just estimating! Had lots of eggs yesterday as my boiled eggs to decorate for school kept cracking - does blue food colouring make them count as more or less?

Hi, Eddas, please keep posting. I haven't been good all the time and probably many of us haven't. We can all support each other and try to help achieve our goals.

I lost 2lbs! Might not be the same next week as I wi on a Sunday morning, and am having sunday lunch at my db's today (never a healthy option!) And then there's all that chocolate... Can't believe I have really lost weight, think maybe I have just fiddled the scales in my sleep or something...

mammyjo · 23/03/2008 14:30

Well done lentengrrl!

I won't have any weigh in results this week as my class, which would be tomorrow evening, is cancelled due to the bank holiday. I could weigh on my own scales, but tbh I have no idea how they tally with the class ones so wouldn't be accurate anyway! This week will be tough for me, as going a week without weighing tends to lead me into eating lots of crap! I have already tucked into far too much chocolate today

fedda · 23/03/2008 17:09

Happy Easter, everyone. Congratulations to loosers. I'm not weighing myself for a couple of days as I'm celebrating with chocolate eggs, hot cross buns and roast chicken tonight. i'll go back to normal on Tuesday (I hope).

smartestgiantintown · 23/03/2008 21:35

Hi,
Happy Easter to everybody!!!
I would like to join you got VERY inspired by all of you. Tried last year to loose some weight and manage to loose 10kg but didn't last for a long 'cause everything came back + 10kg more-now 105kg-not very pleasant body to carry around.
I will start from tomorow very sensible low gi diet-actualy i did start my own plan two weeks ago and manage to loose 3kg but stoped for this 3-4days.
Hope that by the summer i will be sexymummy so i can wear all beautiful summer clothes-last time i wore something nice and cute was 5yrs ago...oooo i miss being slimm(size 12 would be perfect for me-now 16-18)and the most i am missing is confidence...But now should stop conplaining and should start to work seriusly on achiving my goal...Thanx

fedda · 23/03/2008 22:28

Hi, smartestgiantintown. Warmest welcome to you. It's very impressive to loose 10 kg. Absolutely brilliant. unfortunately although it's hard to loose weight it's even harder to maintain what you've achieved. i was very proud of myself to loose 5 kg but i gained some of it back the moment I relaxed. There came back biccuits and white brea, potatoes, rice and pasta after 5PM and the weight started to come back to me. I feel support is very important and I'm going to be back on track after Easter. i know |i can't be perfect and I'll have some treats and stuff but on a regular basis I'm aiming to eat sensibly. Good luck to everyone!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 23/03/2008 22:31

HEllo all! and welcome to the newbies

Was just off to find this thread as it had dropped off my "threads i'm on" list

Have had a shocking week this week (gone 32 points over - what with birthday and easter treats ).

However, had a sneaky weigh this morning and it looks like I have still lost weight

i'm stunned, but, i'm determined to keep up the good work and get back to normal as from tomorrow and quit the chocolate.

I hope you are all doing well.

fedda · 23/03/2008 23:12
