And some roast chicken chips and beans fell down my throat too

never mind. I'm still a stone lighter than I was at Christmas.

fedda · 26/02/2008 23:17

I haven't lost any weight either. Never mind, tomorrow is another day.

chocolatespiders - Caykon is probably the best to judge on how easy the CD is to stick to because she has been on it for much longer than me - I only started last Wednesday... the first week wasn't as bad as I expected - Saturday was hell (really hell), but it has been fine since then. The stuff tastes much better than the 'low cal cup-a-soup' type stuff I was expecting so that has been a nice surprise (though I am sure it will get boring). But so far so good and the constant pleasure of weighing myself keeps me bouyed up and motivated. Also, my life is horribly, horribly hectic (2 toddlers, stressy job & a masters underway) which I think helps hugely because I don't have time to miss eating. I think if I was at home for reasonable spells of time and/or cooking anything other than pasta pesto & fish fingers, I might crack.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 27/02/2008 13:39

morning people.

After my all round crappy day yesterday, DH went and got some lovely easy stuff from Sainsburys. So for dinner we had prawn cocktail, then he did a BGTY breaded wild pink salmon with mediterranean sauce, plus side salad. It was only 9 points in total!!!!

Very delicious too. Try the Weightwatchers Desserts yoghurts if you can. They are absolutely delicious

Today so far have had an apple and a cuppa soup and slice of bread and butter. Need to make up for the pointiful jam doughnut I had Monday.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 27/02/2008 13:40

forgot the low fat chips with that dinner to make it 9 points in total

caykon · 27/02/2008 15:15

squiffy - glad the first week went well for you. The hard bit is over, just dont give into temptation even the smallest bit of food will make you feel unbelievably hungry, you'll eat everything in sight.

Being busy helps. I have to keep myself occupied I have 2 dc under 2 but am a sahm so have to keep busy. My house has never been cleaner mind you lol.

I try and have half a shake for breakfast then soup at lunch (this gets a bit repetative as only really like chicken ones) then a bar (cranberry are my favs) and pint coke zero for my tea. That leaves my half a shake for when I really feel i need it sometimes late afternoon or evening. Like having the choc one warm in evening can pretend is a nice mug of hot choc before bed lol

caykon · 27/02/2008 15:17

oh and squiffy I do envy you not having to cook much I have to cook dh and dc a full meal every evening as well as lunches for the dc's and at weekend we have dsc and dont seem to stop preparing real food.

Hi everyone. Have been hectic. Dd turned two on Saturday and have had parents, friends, in-laws staying so no chance to get online.

I am amazed at how well everyone is doing. Great losses. And Squiffy and Caykon, I am ! Well done all.

I lost 3 lbs this week. Really pleased and have only 4.5 lbs to go to 2 stones! I am still in the zone! Long long long may it last.

thankyou

fedda · 27/02/2008 23:28

Hi, everyone. I had cabbage for breakfast, vegie soup at 10 and for my lunch, each time with a small piece of Gauda cheese. at 4 - vegie soup. Dinner - lemon and garlic chicken with rice and peas, tea with 1 sugar and 4 biscuits, 10pm - tea with 1 sugar, grapes and satcuma. i still have some soup left for tomorrow lunch and for dinner will be spaghetti bolognese. Breakfast probably will be grapes. I'm trying to go to bed before midnight and reducing sugar to no more then 5 spoons a day.

Ags · 27/02/2008 23:39

Chocolate, it really does sound like you need a meeting and a shopping guide. I would find it impossible to count things myself otherwise. I know I am too late now but would be able to help with the points if you let me know how much hummous/falafel/size of pitta etc. It sounds like you are not eating very much but I can't be specific without the weights/sizes. Sorry I wasn't here earlier!

Thanks VVV!

Just had some friends over and we got a takeaway kebab! Delicious. Not quite able to believe that it is only 6 points. Went very easy on the wine so think I am still on track.

ShortandSweet · 28/02/2008 13:02

fedda · 28/02/2008 22:33

Congratulations, chocolate!

Ags · 28/02/2008 23:16

Yeah Chocolate! That is superb.

Hello ShortnSweet. Great to have you on board. Are you doing any particular diet? Or just cutting down?

ShortandSweet · 29/02/2008 07:18

I am starting WW on Tuesday. I was on SW but haven't lost a pound since Aug. I did start in June and I lost 1.5st but couldn't get past that.

Any one have any low point receipes?

ShortandSweet · 29/02/2008 07:19

Well done chocolate. Hopefully I will be reporting a loss next week.

chocolatespiders · 29/02/2008 10:33

thanks for the support everyone....

there may be some recipes in the thread somewhere or in the previous thread to this...

what kind of things do you like to eat... i couldnt help with recipes as i tend to have a chicken piece with veg of vege sausages with veg... i am not very inventive....

have a great day everyone

gone a bit quiet here or is it just me????

VeniVidiVickiQV · 29/02/2008 17:55

LOL! It has a bit hasnt it choccie

Had no breakfast or lunch today. It's a long story and I wont fill up this thread but let's just say that DS is a handful and I ended up ringing DH in tears earlier

Got home, still had barely any time for anything, but managed to grab a huge cup of tea, a WW mini cupcake and a BGTY pack of crisps. Not great I know, but, I'm planning on having a bacon baguette/roll for dinner so will need points for that.

Got some low point sweet things too so I can have pudding too!

Am shattered this week I must say.

colditz · 29/02/2008 20:23

Does anyone want a scrumpy filling no points soup?

Well, you're getting the recipe anyway!

1/2 a butternut squash, chopped into chunks and roasted in the oven with frylight until tender and caramelised.
2 grated carrots
1 tin tomatoes
1 tin of water
1 tin of chicken stock
1 red pepper
two red onions
Salt and black papper

Soften onions, pepper and carrots in a big pan, add everything else except the butternut, and bubble for 30 minutes. Add the butternut(chopped), bring to boil and simmer for further 20 minutes.

Blitz and serve.
