Hi all, thought I would create a designated space outside of the newbie zone for those of us who are in it for the long haul and are a few doses, stone, months down the road.

But at least I’m no longer constipated! I won’t be trusting any more farts today.

Sorry that made me giggle. Glad it fixed things for you though.

SarahC50 · 06/05/2023 16:02

@ciderfromeleven so glad you are feeling well, I wonder if it was a bug. I'm feeling fine on my s cond 0.5mg and after a wee plateau I've lost 11pounds in total which I'm really happy with. X

theproblemchild · 06/05/2023 16:28

Hello all and well done and some achievements above..
I've just received my 1mg pen from Bury.. to echo what pp's have said it came in just a foul packaging. My concern is that this was dispatched on Wednesday with Royal Mail for special delivery before 1pm, it didn't come until later and I missed the delivery on Thursday due to needing to go out for the school run so it's been awhile out of refrigeration. I've checked the solution and it doesn't look cloudy so ping it will be okay but will raise this point with Bury.
Otherwise feeling pleased with my progress, around 9 weeks in now and 20lb down, some owing to a recent bereavement and lack of appetite through the trauma. At least I shouldn't have to fear dressing for summer so much this year, hopefully!
Take care all and enjoy your long weekend and to those working, may your time off come around swiftly xx

greylad · 06/05/2023 18:48

@theproblemchild did Bury want your GP’s details / to tell your GP?

Nope!

@Lndnmummy the health questionnaire just asked you to confirm you would seek help with any throat issues but didn't take GP details. They requested BMI and the usual screening questions but all very straightforward. If you do order best just allow a full day for delivery!

Dummydaydream · 06/05/2023 19:43

Oigetoffmylawn · 06/05/2023 11:27

Those who ordered from Bury, how did you do the consultation? I've ordered, paid and it's acknowledged payment and says "needs consultation" but no info on how to complete this.

I did same as you and just paid. Then when I checked my order it said
‘form needed’. I filled in the online consultation and then emailed them with my order number to say I’d completed it. It was then sent the next day.

Thanks. I've done that now. I thought I'd done it before but clearly not!

It's taken 60+ years and drugs for me to realise they weren't lying 😂

Whisper23 · 07/05/2023 15:01

@mumwheresmyribena Ha...me too! For the first time I don't need to bulk out a ready meal with more veg or bread. I had a supermarket chilli con carne last night and thought the portion was too big. Ashamed to say I've eaten two in the past.

LittleDitto · 08/05/2023 09:26

I’m approaching my 2nd week of .5. I can’t believe how little I’ve been able to eat this week. I thought the .25 was doing a fair job until I increased. I can really see why you have a gradual upload of this stuff. I’d never recommend anyone to rush into it. I’m always slow to lose weight because I’m tall I’m about 1 stone a dress size so it’ll be a long haul but I’ve got about 3 stone to lose. I’m very wary of losing too much because of the fear of so much loose skin! BMI is now at 29 and so I’d like to get to 25.

polopolopolopoo · 08/05/2023 18:40

Those who have had nausea / vomiting / diarrhoea - can you please describe to me timelines of being ill?

I haven't had any of these side effects for 4 months of being on Oz but was sick for 7 days a month ago and yesterday spent all day sick and on the loo. I'm wondering if it's actually a bug.

Hurdygurdygurdy · 08/05/2023 19:20

Not sure I've posted on this thread, but I'm coming up to my 4th pen and considering how long to stay on it.

Really happy with progress, am 32lb down and now overweight rather than obese. Hearing about the shortages of stock and had a missed call from Manual today, so I'm expecting they're going to say they can't supply the 1mg (or perhaps any pen!).

Had hoped to do another couple of months / lose another stone and then assess, but if supplies are going to be erratic I might prefer to cancel sooner. I have 2 x 1mg doses left in my current pen, so could take 4 x 0.5mg instead and then stop. Decisions...

tregunamekoidestrecorumsatisdee · 09/05/2023 06:22

I haven't been able to get a new pen and am about to run out. I feel devastated to have to stop due to stock issues when it's been life changing for me 😭😭

greylad · 09/05/2023 08:11

Crumbs. I’m in my last week of 0.5 and I have felt it wearing off a little bit. I’ve put on 1.3kg since Friday. Shock

greylad · 09/05/2023 08:21

Therefore, I too am worried about not being able to get my next pen. Because of this is what happens in 72 hours of not being topped up… I put on 20% of what it has taken me eight weeks to lose… yikes.

I can only hope there will be some stock somewhere next week!

greylad · 09/05/2023 08:22

if this

Beenalongwinter · 09/05/2023 09:28

I have registered with Bury , do we know if they still have stock? I am a bit worried about paying by bank transfer.

Hello, hoping for any advice or insight about forward planning for events please? I'm on week 4 of 0.25 and have a weekend away planned for my friends 40th.

By then it'll be week 2 of 0.5 and so far I've managed well with barely any adverse side effects, but I am not a drinker, only on special occasions like this planned weekend where I anticipate lots of drink and expectations to drink.

Should I keep on at my 0.25 as I know I'm okay - albeit I don't know how I'll be if I'm quaffing Prosecco?

There's no other upcoming events than this, and I don't want to derail progress, but also don't want to end up sick as a dog?

hard to say . i've definitely not had any problems with drinking wine ( unfortunately!)
i definitely drink less but it doesn't have a detrimental effect on me other than alll the well known ones. zero to do with ozempic.
I suppose it depends on if the low dose is working for you? Also with all the supply issues it might be prudent to make your own pen last a bit longer?
Who do you get yours from?
Could you contact the prescriber for advice?

RausageSoul · 09/05/2023 11:08

Thank @orangelotus I've asked my coach on Slack but they seem busy after being away for bankhol!

I have my 0.5 pen delivered but still have plenty in my 0.25 pen so might just keep up the 0.25 doses for an extra 2 weeks and remove any worry. Happy with progress and low side effects other than a few chilly spells and a funny mouth taste.

Given the supply issues I think this may be the best, but I'll see what coach says.

Thanks so much for the reply, I suppose another good side effect is being more open about not finishing meals or not fancying snacks or junk with my family has been great, before I'd think it would be an issue or raise questions, but nobody is that bothered haha

HolidayHappy123 · 09/05/2023 13:00

Please can I ask what people have found the transition from 0.25 to 0.5 has been like. I'm tolerating the 0.25 well with only a couple of short-lived spells of nausea but enough to make me wonder how the increased dose will affect me.

mumwheresmyribena · 09/05/2023 13:36

@HolidayHappy123 I had no issues when I went to 0.5 but I've not really had any issues at all except the twice I've eaten too much or too much fat/oil (ironically it was home-made Mediterranean roasted veg 😂).
