Hi all, thought I would create a designated space outside of the newbie zone for those of us who are in it for the long haul and are a few doses, stone, months down the road.

Can't find stock anywhere again today Sad

Same, was looking to order yesterday.. very frustrating! I requested an alert with quick meds when it is back in stock, hopefully hear soon. Think I'll have to update my ordering practices and get ahead of myself moving forwards!

I'm with juniper and haven't had any supply issues, prescription just gets automatically reordered unless you cancel. Might be worth trying them.

mathis2006 · 21/04/2023 07:10

Quickmeds is reopenning orders from 1pm every day.

SteveBuscemisRheumyEye · 21/04/2023 07:40

Hello hello! Has anyone noticed an impact on their periods?

Peridot1 · 21/04/2023 08:23

I know it’s been shared before but I just got around to listening to the Zoe podcast in Ozempic yesterday and found it fascinating. It’s definitely worth a listen or a read of the transcript. It’s here.

ZOE Podcast: Can Ozempic (Semaglutide) Solve Weight Loss?

Jonathan speaks to Dr. Robert Kushner, the lead investigator of a huge recent trial, about whether semaglutide really is a game-changing treatment for obesity.

I switched to Juniper months ago when everywhere else was sold out. I’ve had no problems with them and I think it’s well worth the extra cost for the reassurance that I won’t have any breaks in my treatment.

theproblemchild · 21/04/2023 10:06

Managed an order through Quick Meds this morning...

mathis2006 · 21/04/2023 10:55

@SteveBuscemisRheumyEye not on ozempic but my period stopped/were late when I was doing low carband one meal a day fasting, a few years ago.

leilani83 · 21/04/2023 12:33

Oh noooo...my usual supplier Quick Meds has no stock! Where is everyone ordering from?

Thanks, that's really helpful!

Lavendersquare · 21/04/2023 12:34

@leilani83 Juniper seems to be very reliable, no supply issues. If you want a code for £50 off drop me a pm.

Yes please (struggling to figure out how to pm on the app)

alwayssocomplicated · 21/04/2023 15:27

@leilani83 did you have any luck after 1pm? It still said out of stock for me

No I didn't either!

Lavendersquare thanks very much but I don't think I could use it as I was with Juniper before and it just gives me the option of resuming my treatment at £199 a month. I'm trying to see if Quick meds get some stock in soon! And where is Wegovy?? They said it would be available in the spring!

Lavendersquare · 21/04/2023 16:13

@leilani83 I know what you mean about Wegovy I keep getting update emails from Boots and Superdrug saying that it's coming soon - but it never arrives!

MissLucyLiu · 21/04/2023 16:18

I am 2.5 month in and not really seeing much results.

Peridot1 · 21/04/2023 16:34

i think there are issues with supplies of semaglutide itself which will be affecting supplies of Ozempic and the introduction of Wegovy. Wegovy was supposed to be available around 6 months ago I think.

@MissLucyLiu - have a listen to the Zoe podcast I linked to above or have a read of the transcript - they say some people can take around three months to see any effects. Some people are super responders but some people take a lot longer. And of course if it really doesn’t work for you then it may be that you don’t need the drug. If your weight issues are not due to issues with the hormone the drug is correcting maybe it won’t work. I don’t know really why it works better for some people than others.

What have you seen? Have you lost weight?

MissLucyLiu · 21/04/2023 16:38

I’ve been on Ozempic for PCOS.
I haven’t really got much to lose I am aiming for 5kg. But it’s not been working maybe because I used to be bulimic and my calories intake wasn’t large to begin with.

my doctors now are looking at my blood tests and the prelim results shows I just have too much cortisol and I need to stop stressing which is kinda impossible because my job is extremely stressful.

Thank you very much! Il listen to the podcast.
yesh maybe my fat is not accumulated due to insulin resistance but cortisol imbalance.

Peridot1 · 21/04/2023 16:46

Yes it may well be that you just don’t need that particular medication @MissLucyLiu. I think lots of people have weight issues due to cortisol and as you say with a stressful job it’s hard to deal with.

Peridot1 · 21/04/2023 16:49

I just googled Zoe and cortisol and they seem to have done some research and have some articles it may be worth looking at.

Yeah I wish I can just take a shot to lower my cortisol tho. But thank you

Kidsaregrim · 22/04/2023 13:25

Hi,
im a few months in now and initially had a great weight loss and lost 10lb.

im on the 0.5 dose now and I’ve put on weight, I’ve put 5lb back on.

my appetite is so suppressed so I would assume the Ozempic is working, I’m having eggs for breakfast, baked beans with cheese for lunch (half a tin) sprinkle of grated, and meat and salad for dinner.

no sweets, chocolate, or any other nasties, have had the odd glass of wine but cut down massively to avoid extra calories.

but here comes the real problem, I KNOW I’m getting smaller, my trousers are loose, hanging in places, knickers are baggy, so why are the scales not reflecting this?

I keep having thoughts that I’m actually delusional and it’s just not working

AndSoFinally · 22/04/2023 16:39

Why don't you try taking measurements with a tape measure? That way you'll have a bit more of an idea?
