Hi all, thought I would create a designated space outside of the newbie zone for those of us who are in it for the long haul and are a few doses, stone, months down the road.

I have checked quick meds and Health express every day for a week and there has been no stock but when I ring they always say stock is due any day.

I ordered from Quick Meds on Tuesday and received my delivery on Friday.

Has anyone any suggestions for constant nausea? Been on Ozempic since January and at 0.75 now (down from 1mg due to side effects) but still getting almost constant nausea, though not actually being sick. It's making me miserable and considering stopping.

I wish I knew the answer to this. Stopped Ozempic because of it and would like to try again in a couple of months but the nausea was awful.

@Oigetoffmylawn - other than things like peppermint tea etc which I assume you’ve tried. I think it’s not for everyone sadly. How was any weight loss at lower doses? Maybe go back down? Or take a break for a bit and try again or try Saxenda?

I may have to go back down for a bit to try it. I really don't want to stop taking it because it's worked well for me but the constant nausea is now starting to effect my quality of life.

I try full sugar coke (small glass obviously) and a gingernut or 2. If those don't work I take buccasten which I got over the counter at boots. I told them I was on ozempic and wanted something for nausea. But I appreciate that's adding in another medication to help a side effect, and may not be suitable for daily nausea. I'm just on 0.5mg at present and only get bad nausea for a day, about 2 days after injection.

Karmakamelion · 16/04/2023 18:16

For the constant nausea I ate little and often. Things like an apple, half a sandwich, chicken etc. Found that it really helps. Also grated ginger with a bit of lemon juice and salt.

Thanks to those who have suggested things, I'll give them a try.

tregunamekoidestrecorumsatisdee · 16/04/2023 21:52

I ordered 1mg from Health Express on Wednesday and it was delivered on Friday

msssm · 16/04/2023 22:26

Thanks @themuminator that means a lot 🤗

mathis2006 · 17/04/2023 07:07

@gobbleguts I did in Jan. Was on saxenda from November to Jan with great results, lost about 1.5st, but the side effects at first were so bad. Went up to 1.6mg and I read that ozempic provided better results so switch to ozempic 1mg. Didn't experienced side effects, albeit a bit of nausea, but was already nauseous with saxenda so no change. I injected twice weekly 0.5. Now once a week 1mg. I find that I am losing much slower but I have lost another 1st so a total of 2.5 since November. It is very slow now, and I can almost eat normally. Losing 0.5lb a week. I am starting to calories count and increase exercise. I am close to my goal weight, so I will now start to decrease the dose over 3 months to wean off and stop by September.
