“I started Ozempic last night” THREAD FOUR

HermioneWeasley · 12/03/2023 09:17

Can’t believe we’re on thread 4

welcome back to previous posters, and welcome to those who are new or interested.

a few of us have been on Ozempic with a range of experiences for a few months now, so if you’re interested in how it goes in the early days, the earlier threads might be a good place to start.

I’ve been on it for about 6 months now and have lost around 20lbs. It has been effortless. I used to be ravenously hungry all the time, and now I’m not. I had very mild side effects at first (just some nausea), but none now.

most of us have referral codes for various providers, so if you are starting, do ask on the thread and someone will PM you.

The Manual support group posted this morning Madeline is available every day on the whatapp group I find her really supportive.

LadyFarnborough · 27/03/2023 08:40

The nausea has kicked in today 🤢 Day 6 of week 1 so thought I had escaped as would be wearing off by now. Feels like morning sickness.

MissLucyLiu · 27/03/2023 09:26

Does anyone get incredibly nauseous when sitting in a car/taking a cab?! Last week after work I took a cab back home I ran inside and threw up immediately. It’s the type of throwing up where it was like I had 20 shots of vodka or something. Really awful!

Yes to being nauseous in the car! I had to tell my Dh to stop Swerving potholes as I was going to be sick.

I do! I always get quite motion sick so just thought it was that.

i have no issues when I’m the one driving though.

Second dose taken last night. Hungry this morning but probably because I only ate lunch yesterday.

Coke Zero is back to tasting weird, it did last week at the beginning but got better so wondered if I was just getting used to new taste. Battle to drink water will continue - I genuinely was drinking no water and just coke with occasional vimto for the last few months. Amazingly still have teeth.

start weight: 78kg/12.3 stone
week 1: 75.4/11.9 stone

I've lost an additional 5lbs this week. That's one stone in three weeks. I'm amazed!!!

That's amazing! Well done! What does are you on? And what was your BMI when you started? Hope it's ok to ask!

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 27/03/2023 12:52

BMI was 32.1, I'm still on 0.25 - debating staying at this dose as it's working.

FizzyNotStill · 27/03/2023 13:42

Would anyone be kind enough to pm me a Juniper referral code? I'm slowly working through these threads but impatient to get started now I've made the decision to take the plunge. I'm a long time lurker and occasional poster but have name changed for this. 13 stone 3 and 5'3ish and absolutely at the end of my tether with mindless grazing. I swear I would eat from a dry box of cornflakes if it was put in front of me, even after a meal 😣

I'll message you :)

I'm really hoping that the 0.25 dose works and I'm planning to stay on that dose until I stall.

I only started on Sat eve so waiting for signs that it is working at the moment.

No side effects.
I think I got easily full up at dinner last night then ate nothing else all evening and until lunchtime today.

I took my first dose last Tuesday and it's definitely doing something. Wasn't sure if it was just placebo/mind over matter the first day but noticed a big drop in appetite by the second. No cravings, not much interest in what I actually eat, no constant thinking about food, much smaller portions.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 27/03/2023 14:00

That's good to know.

Some information from an ozempic site. Incidences of side effects aren't scarily high.

Has anyone got a referral code? I bought some from Manual at a discounted rate but I can't afford it at full price!

I've messaged you 😀

FizzyNotStill · 27/03/2023 14:49

Got it, thanks @LadyFarnborough

Beenalongwinter · 27/03/2023 15:12

My first order was from manual as it seemed the best price , I am going to cancel or put my subscription on hold for now , and order elsewhere at another discount price , where is the next best place to order from price wise ? And does anyone have a code they could message me please.

Anyone wanting to start today is welcome to use my code from Manual.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 27/03/2023 15:29

I got mine for 129 from Manuel but have also cancelled the plan as it jumped to 199 and I dont want to pay that. It automatically offered 179 but I still cancelled.
With nearly 8 doses of 0.25 in the starter pen I wanted to wait and see how well I tolerated it before reordering anyway.

WhyDoesItAlways · 27/03/2023 15:38

I switched from Manuel to quick meds which charges £149 per pen.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 27/03/2023 15:40

UK meds is 125 but frequently out of stock.

ZiggZagg · 27/03/2023 15:41

UK Meds seem to get new stock every Monday. I have a 20% discount code if anyone wants one?

MrsPerfect12 · 27/03/2023 16:56

Could I have a referral please @ZiggZagg

ZiggZagg · 27/03/2023 17:20

Yes just drop me a PM and I'll send it to you 😊

orangelotus · 27/03/2023 18:19

MotherofTerriers · 27/03/2023 18:42

Just working on feeling brave enough to order and get started. UK meds looks the cheapest. Could I have discount code please @ZiggZagg ?
