“I started Ozempic last night” THREAD FOUR

1000 replies

HermioneWeasley · 12/03/2023 09:17

Can’t believe we’re on thread 4

welcome back to previous posters, and welcome to those who are new or interested.

a few of us have been on Ozempic with a range of experiences for a few months now, so if you’re interested in how it goes in the early days, the earlier threads might be a good place to start.

I’ve been on it for about 6 months now and have lost around 20lbs. It has been effortless. I used to be ravenously hungry all the time, and now I’m not. I had very mild side effects at first (just some nausea), but none now.

most of us have referral codes for various providers, so if you are starting, do ask on the thread and someone will PM you.

Sorry about the grammar/ lack of capitals etc, I’m at work at 9 so needed to speed-type!

I’m interested in this, just looked at Juniper and it says £195 a month. Is that just the first month or are all months £195?

Yes it's £195 per month, I'm using Juniper for my ozempic and find them very good at responding to questions etc.

If you want a £50 code for your first order pm me for the details.

Just taken my pics to send off to manual. I look so fat and awful. My carb cravings are out of control

pisspants · 21/03/2023 11:32

@Kidsaregrim nice to have a buddy! really hope this level of loss continues, to lose it by the end of June would be ideal and save a lot of money too as less pens! really hope it Carries on at this rate 🤞

Mortigua · 21/03/2023 11:41

Spanielears I’m new too, also work from home and gained a stone in the year since I went back to it! I need to sort it out before it gets worse. We are the same weight. Let’s hope it helps ! I need to start exercising again , I was really good at that but have slipped over winter , I am tired all the time and just feel I can’t face it.

Those who are on it already , does time of day matter for when you do the injection a lot? I’m tempted to do it now but don’t want to feel rough .

I did it before bed since I was v nervous but have had no side effects (maybe my stomach making slightly more noise?). Don’t feel rough at all and ate a normal gousto sized meal for dinner last night and am fine. I’m just not really feeling hungry and sugary stuff is tasting very meh, which I think is a win.

So my order has arrived. Had to get it delivered to work as need to be in the office all week. It is in a plain brown box which is great, however its going to be about 5 hours or more until I'm home. There isn't enough room in the fridge (although there may be after lunch) - we only have one domestic sized fridge for 25 people!
It seems to be cold - wrapped in protective something. Will it be ok out of the fridge until I'm home or how soon does it need to go in?
Thanks

I’d say it will be fine til you get home tbh. They err on the side of caution with an insulated bag and ice pack in there. Just so long as it’s not somewhere really warm.

I kept mine in a cool room and just kept adding a different ice pack for 1.5 days as didn’t want my teenage daughters seeing it in the fridge.

Amazonmulu · 21/03/2023 12:25

My pen has arrived!

Very pleased with the delivery time (<24h!)

What time of day do people normally take their dose?

And where is the best place to inject?

M1mof2 · 21/03/2023 12:31

This thread has been so helpful thank you! I have just registered and paid for my pen with Juniper. I am so nervous about the side effects but excited to start this journey - I have 2 stone to lose - 3 would be amazing but have just never been able to stick to anything before. I am at my heaviest weight and with summer just around the corner it is making me feel very low but motivated to get into (hopefully) some prettier summer clothes this year! Could anyone let me know how long before Juniper gets back to you - I did the quiz and payment this morning

Mortigua · 21/03/2023 12:41

Sameiam that sounds good , thanks , I think I’ll do it this afternoon and hope for the best

Btrsun10 · 21/03/2023 12:43

Thanks HaggisBurger. Just realised we have a very cool stationery room. I'll stick it in there.
Feeling very nervous for my 1st jab. Of course I've been reading more and more as the time draws closer - not all positive - still going ahead though!

I found them really quick. I did it all online one evening and they replied the next morning and then was delivered 2 days later.

LadyFarnborough · 21/03/2023 13:04

@alwayscheery Juniper are £195 a month but £145 for the first if you use a referral code. PM me if you want one.

I’ve felt fine really. Bit of a dodgy tummy this morning when I got up but nothing unmanageable. I slept very lightly too and was sort of awake but dozing from 5.30 on. Just had a little 20 min nap.
But my hunger is definitely diminished. Not that aching feeling of being able to eat all round you that I get when (I’ve always assumed) my blood sugar drops. I have the feeling of not quite knowing what I want to eat. Rather than craving carbs.

MissLucyLiu · 21/03/2023 15:39

Hi 👋 I am on my week 3. My hunger craving and snack cravings are coming back. Today I had half a big tube of crisps. Oops.

theres 1.5 ml pen for the .25ml doses. But they only gave me 4 needles. How do I inject the rest of it ?

HangerLaneGyratorySystem · 21/03/2023 16:20

Bit of a long shot here, has anyone been on SSRIs or anti-psychotics and taken Wegovy?

Amazon sell them. A PP posted a link on the last thread I think

You can buy extra needles from Amazon (although they come in a box of 100).

HangerLaneGyratorySystem · 21/03/2023 16:56

Doctor says they can’t comment it will need to be looked at by local nhs weight management service. I reckon they won’t know either so thinking to just go private?

hasitreallybeenthatlong · 21/03/2023 18:20

I have been declined by all 3 companies and am unsure how people are getting the injection I am overweight but bmi is not obese but I've seen people comment they only have a few pounds to loose how are they getting it prescribed?
