Monday weigh-in for those over 14 stone

Hello All,

I really need to work up my motivation to lose weight at the moment and although I do daily personal weigh-ins I think some accountability would really help!

Would anyone like to join me?

I'm around 16 stone at the moment so it would be great to hear from others who want to lose weight but not necessarily slim from size 10 to an 8!

I’m in.

I started fasting last week and just concentrated on the actual timings. This week I will be adjusting what I eat in my window to be healthier. I’m going for a deficit and will be on 1300 calories this week.

Weight today 14st 12.0lb

My starting weight was 15st 4.2lb January 1st and I’ve been hovering with a pound or two up and down since then.

I will be trying to add in more activity too. Currently work from home and take myself off to the kitchen for little snack foraging sessions far too often.

Just over 14st here but that gives me 4st to lose - sigh. The only other time I've weighed more than this is when I was pregnant with my twins 

@Ringringringringringringringbananaphone I used to do some exercise videos on Amazon but then they took loads off Prime, annoyingly! Which do you do?

@imnotthatkindofmum that sounds like my sort of preparation Grin

I’ve just started Body Groove - I’m actually really enjoying it and it’s perfect for my level of (un)fitness at the moment. Also, most times I have a little cry when I’m doing it which is VERY odd but very cathartic.

can I Join? 10 days ago I was 14st 5. This morning I’m 13st 12!

I’ve been intermittent fasting 18:6 and doing low carb high fat along side.

i already feel so much better.

Good morning, weighed at 17 stone and 3lbs so I'm down from when I started on Wednesday so just got to keep it up.

I'm calorie counting as that's the best way for me so trying to stick between 1500 - 1800, I'd probably have a bit less but I'm still breastfeeding my 18 month and I still want to make sure the milk is there.

Also sticking to 10,000 steps a day - I'm naturally sedentary so tend to make myself walk round the house a bit of an evening to make sure I hit my target!

I've just weighed. I'm 15st 13lbs. Currently eating weetabix and fruit. I can't really do much walking just now (broken ankle!). I am able to walk just not getting my 10,000 steps in!

Morning! I’ve just weighed and I’m 14st, 8lb. I’ve no plans on how I’m going to lose weight, I’m going to spend this week just making healthier choices and see how that goes. If I’ve not lost anything by next Monday I’ll change tactics.

I weighed in at 15st 12 which is 2 lb over my previous heaviest. 1st goal is to be under 15 stone! Preferably by may as I have a party but I'm not putting pressure on myself as I know I'll fail if I do!

I'm going to do 18:6 fasting and just eat healthily to start with. I have nutricheck so my use that if it's not going well!

Also try to move more but I have exam papers to mark this week which makes me sit down too much!

Let's go!!

Morning All! Good luck to us! I'm going to try and do 10k steps a day and some calorie counting. I'm short so this much weigh on me is terrible, biggest I've ever been. Going through fertility issues and just know when I get an appointment they're going to blame the weight!

I'm in. Currently 14st7. I lost lots of weight in pregnancy (had gestational diabetes so was on a strict no sugar/very low carbon diet) and then kept the weight off while breastfeeding. Stopped four months ago and it's all back on again! I could kick myself 😩

Hi, just weighed myself and 14st 1. Would like to loose 2 pounds a week. Also just booked a cholesterol test as I know it was high last year and as I've just ignored it I suspect it isn't any better now. If it is still high, I've promised myself I need to do something about it.

so when I’m working (Monday-Friday)
i break my fast at 12 and I have either tinned tuna in oil with a whole avacado and green salads with mayo. Normally a mini cheese with that too.
or 2 boiled eggs with the salad ect.

when I get home I’ve been having steak/pork chops/chicken cooked in oil with lots of green veggies like asparagus/green beans/ greens/spinach ect! With mayo.

I’ll also have an iced coffee with double cream.

by day 5 the hunger completely stopped and I’m deffo in Ketosis now.

drinks when fasting are water and I add an electrolyte to that. (Just one in a 1.5l bottle)
black coffee with 1tbsp of MCT oil. And green teas!

I only tend to have a Pepsi max when I’m off fasting.

This weekend I decided to have one meal a day so my fasting period was around 22 hours.

I love it because I’m not having to worry about what I’m cooking constantly. The days go quick and I already feel better.

Weighed in at 249 pounds.

Rejoined MFP this morning, rather depressing as it showed my previous weights from about 5 years ago. Deleted history though so not a reminder!

It's put me on around 1500 calories a day.

I had a medical check last year and was showing as raised blood pressure and cholesterol. So really hoping that this will give the motivation to get my act together.

Aiming initially for 2 stone lose for end of July.

16st 0.5lbs this morning. 3lbs down since Friday.

10% would be around 22lbs. So I'm aiming for that to start with. Ultimately the goal is 30% of my current weight!

I have been on 1400-1600 per day and I think that is sustainable.

Well done everyone for getting started. 💪

Morning, let’s do this everyone! MFP is allowing me around 1600 a day, and I sea swim and plan on walking al lot more. Runnings out at the mo, my ankles/ feet need something gentler for now though I do play a bit of tennis.

Morning all. Just weighed myself, and it ain't good. 15 stone 3 and short, need to lose 5 stone.

I know what my problem is, it's emotional eating and boredom, plus late night snacking. I'm going to try to give up baking and making food and take up knitting or sewing instead. Keep my hands busy.

Also walk 6 miles a day from today.
