30kg to lose. Who else is in this ballpark?

That's ambitions - I am 51 and it's taking me to my 21 year old weight. (On the other hand, when I weighed that - or anything lower - I was never ever satisfied)

Is there anyone else in that kind of region? I am seeing a lot of threads from the people with around a stone, or a stone and a half to lose

RedDoughnut -1lb
SeventyPounds -3.2lbs (-26.1lbs total)

I thnk most of that is just the adjustment from last week. I am hanging in but finding it a hard slog at the moment. I seem to have a los a bit of mojo!

I'm going to try staying off the scales until next Wed because I think seeing the number bounce up and down is starting to affect me (and not in a good way).

I’m really disappointed about this week but I don’t know what I could have done differently.

kirinm · 31/05/2023 16:11

I've come off the wagon but am back on it today. Going to have to try and keep going.

Is there a new thread or have people dropped off? I’d like to keep going. The last few weeks I’ve barely lost anything and my weight has been all over the place. I’m not sure why and I am going to try to get back on track.

I'm still going! I'm away with work and not near any scales but will weigh in once I'm home.

RedDoughnut · 14/06/2023 07:52

I'm here!

It's been a crappy time for me. Some might recall I had anaemia. The cause was bleeding from a fibroid. I had it taken out last week. Hoping that my will power will impede and I stop comfort eating!

I'm only 5lb from when we started . But better down than up.

Please come back everyone!

AndClementine · 14/06/2023 08:42

Ah good to see you both! I have been weighing most days but took a couple weeks away from talking about it while I was struggling to lose.

Definitely better down than up @RedDoughnut . Hope your recovery is going well and no pressure to rejoin until you’re ready.

RedDoughnut · 26/06/2023 11:48

I stayed the same last week.

I'm going to weigh in again on Wednesday if anyone wants to join me or join me in a re-start?

I've had a miserable few weeks and I'm beginning to wonder if a hysterectomy is the only way forwards? But maybe I'm too fat?
I started a thread in Women's Health and asked if that was the case and loads of posters really laid into me for my high BMI.
It picked up a bit as the thread progressed with a bit more support.

So, here I am..again, too fat.
Still have 30kg to lose.

Amisillyornot · 26/06/2023 12:05

@RedDoughnut sorry to hear that - sometimes MN can be pretty hard.
Not much advice other than what has already been said on the thread but sending some love and support your way.
I have to day lost 28kgs and I am finally at a normal BMI. I have 5 more kgs to go to be at my ideal weight.
Good luck getting back on track xx

I have replied to your thread in womans health x

RedDoughnut · 26/06/2023 12:20

@Amisillyornot That's brilliant! Well done. Please tell me it's made you feel amazing??
How long did it take?
Can you recap on any tips/advice?

@BusyCaz That's kind, thank you. I don't know what my next step is, I'm just thinking aloud with the hysterectomy.

Amisillyornot · 26/06/2023 13:25

@RedDoughnut - I started in Sept 2021 but there were ups and downs during that time, periods when I stopped and then holidays etc. So i was losing then putting a bit, or more than I'd lost, then lose again etc. I started again in October 2022 at 85kgs and I have been very consistent (bar birthdays) and last Sunday I was 67kgs. I do IF and I do a 24hr fast once a month (or twice if I can) and I run/walk 5 times a week.
I have changed my way of thinking - before if I fell off the wagon, say on a Tuesday, I would write off the whole week and say to myself I will start again on Monday but now if I have a bad day or 2,am right back on track.
My husband and especially my kids have been amazing going on walks with me when I've not been feeling it, and they have all embraced my lifestyle change.

kirinm · 26/06/2023 14:24

Yes I'm trying to get back on track. I'm not putting weight on but also not losing and it's frustrating. We've got such a busy summer and I'd hoped to be another 2 stone down by now!

RedDoughnut · 28/06/2023 10:03

Wednesday 28/6

RedDoughnut - 3lbs.

Frankly I thought I have lost a bit more...let's seem what this week brings.

TennisWithDeborah · 28/06/2023 16:52

Wednesday 28/6

RedDoughnut - 3lbs.
TennisWithDeborah - 3lbs in 2 weeks. 43lbs total.

Congrats @RedDoughnut !

RedDoughnut · 30/06/2023 08:59

I think I'm back in the zone again.

I've bought some meal replacement shakes which might stop me picking instead of eating badly in the day.
I'm fine with a healthy dinner and don't often eat after dinner, I think it's the day when I'm working from home and can pick.

RedDoughnut · 05/07/2023 07:52

Wednesday 5th July

RedDoughnut - 4lbs.

Very pleased with that.
