30kg to lose. Who else is in this ballpark?

That's ambitions - I am 51 and it's taking me to my 21 year old weight. (On the other hand, when I weighed that - or anything lower - I was never ever satisfied)

Is there anyone else in that kind of region? I am seeing a lot of threads from the people with around a stone, or a stone and a half to lose

@RedDoughnut it’s tough when you’re not there mentally. How are you feeling today?

I struggle with chronic illness and when my activity levels plummet my diet becomes disastrous too. It becomes a cycle and takes me a long time to pull myself out of it.

kirinm · 23/04/2023 17:13

How's everyone doing? I want a good week after 3 weeks of not being able to exercise.

RedDoughnut · 24/04/2023 12:42

I'm still tired but beginning to see a slight improvement.
Not sure my willpower is much stronger though.

TennisWithDeborah · 24/04/2023 13:05

Bad weekend food /wine wise because of my best mate’s birthday. But I did a lot of exercise so hopefully maintained rather than gained.

kirinm · 24/04/2023 13:21

I've just had a PT session which totally wiped me out. I think I'm still getting over whatever virus I had. Normally I feel kind of energised but now I just want to sleep!

SeventyPounds · 24/04/2023 13:49

I'm doing OK, thanks @kirinm

All this talk of exercise, plus an active and healthy dog again, plus the lighter days have all inspired me to dig out my running shoes again. I thought I'd restart Zombies! Run! which (for me) is a nice mix of walking, jogging, running all with an entertaining backstory.

First session at lunchtime: the dog was looking at me like I'd gone mad 😁

This week is the countdown to a family wedding at the weekend. Dress is hanging up as motivation to stay on course.

TrishTrix · 24/04/2023 13:58

I’ve been away to Spain. Had a lovely time but it was tricky to try to regulate my diet. So I basically gave up.

The scales were not kind this morning.

off to spin later to assuage some guilt.

SeventyPounds · 26/04/2023 08:01

Wednesday 26 April

SeventyPounds: -1.7lbs (-25lbs total)

Hope everyone is doing ok.

SeventyPounds: -1.7lbs (-25lbs total)
TrishTrix: +0.8kg (-5.9kg total)

so Spain wasn’t quite as catastrophic as imagined and I’ve been back on it since I got back.

discovered another couple of salad options that work for work lunches too which is a positive.

kirinm · 26/04/2023 08:30

I was sick last week - and still recovering this week - so barely moved so I'm happy to have stayed the same. Back to exercise this week so hoping for a loss next week.

SeventyPounds: -1.7lbs (-25lbs total)
TrishTrix: +0.8kg (-5.9kg total)
Kirin - STS - (total loss 12lbs)

Not the biggest loss but it’s still a loss. There’s a lot of personal stress in my life and I think my goal is to not let it derail my weight loss. So even if I lose slowly, it’s better than gaining like I used to.

AndClementine · 26/04/2023 13:21

Oops I think I have my total loss wrong there. Oh well I’ll fix it next week.

TrishTrix · 26/04/2023 13:39

@AndClementine damqge limitation is really useful and actually if you are managing to lose in a stressful situation when normally you might have eaten crap I’d take that as a win.

TrishTrix · 26/04/2023 13:40

My win is that I just went a bought a standard back of crisps (30g) to allay my post PT lunchtime urge rather than a multipack of which I would inevitably have eaten at least 3 packs!

My foody /boozy weekend offset to an extent by all the exercise. I’m quite pleased. I thought I might have stayed the same.

I have lost 14% of my body weight since I started this regime in Jan. That sort of stat keeps me focused, along with the BMI and pounds coming down.

Wednesday 3 May

AndClementine: -0.8kg (-4.4kg total)

I hope that I've done that correctly. I nearly didn't weigh in today as all week my weight has barely moved and I was feeling discouraged. And I could feel myself getting into bad habits again where if I feel like I'm not losing weight, what's the point, might as well eat more. I stuck to my "fasting" hours though and I really think that's been the difference for me this time.

I am going to try to remember how I felt this week if the needle isn't shifting again. It will eventually!

I was about to celebrate being past the halfway point - and then I realised half of 70 is not 25, it's 35! Grin Blush

jaspertown · 15/03/2023 09:46

Hi, I'd like to join you please. I am starting at 119.4kg. Long road ahead.

Well I had a horrendous few weeks since posting! Sickness and family drama.
I have tried to stick to some semblance of a plan using calorie counting until I sort my head out and get in some exercise. Trying to not eat all around me so just had an omelette with three eggs for breakfast-lunch instead of the packets of crisps I wanted.

Not much change since the beginning but I am at 118.1kg today.

Good luck to you all for this week.

InterestingMuch · 03/05/2023 17:35

arrgghh, I completely forgot it was wednesday and so did not go towards the scales this am. Will do better next week. Exercise currently going better than food.

kirinm · 03/05/2023 19:44

I actively haven't weighed as I'm not ready for bad news. Struggling to get back the motivation I had pre recent illness. Going to try again this week.

TrishTrix · 04/05/2023 23:34

i’m posting my Wed weight late.

AndClementine: -0.8kg (-4.4kg total)
SeventyPounds: -2lbs (-27lbs total)
Jaspertown: -1.3kg total
TrishTrix: +0.7kg (-5.2kg total)

bad week here again.
Barcelona last weekend then another boozy & cake laden weekend this weekend.

Been difficult to get my head back into IF & calorie counting. Ate what felt like most of my ocado order after work on Tuesday.

Feel back on the straight and narrow now - I’ve been to spin, meal prepped some healthy food and not loaded the cupboards with junk for the forthcoming weekend.

hopefully I’ll get to post a loss next week.

kirinm · 05/05/2023 09:38

I've really struggled to get back on the wagon. I've been exercising but finding it harder than ever. I still haven't shaken off my cold and having now been pretty haphazard with my eating, I'm finding it difficult to find some discipline.

It's another day so we try again!

AndClementine · 06/05/2023 10:27

I find it strange that I’m still getting pretty hungry late at night. Is that normal? The next morning I feel hungry but not as much and I don’t really feel tempted to have breakfast. I’m still having a coffee so not really fasting, but it seems to be sustainable for me so far.

caffelattetogo · 07/05/2023 00:15

After a month-long plateau, where nothing shifted despite me staying within all my macros, 4kg has fallen off in a week. No idea what's happening. Now a total of 15kg lost since I started in January. But feeling a bit worried about why it's so stop/start. Has anyone else had this?
