Anyone else with 2.5 stone (15kg) to lose?

Hello,
I was wondering if there were a few people who have a similar amount of weight to lose as me who would like to join a little support group.
I find the massive threads a bit overwhelming, and can't relate as much to those needing to lose half a stone or 5 stone. So ideally I'd love a couple of people starting in Jan who are aiming to lose a similar amount.
I'm not planning on doing a specific diet, just eating a lot less rubbish really. My aim is to be done by July 🤞

First weigh in today was 12 st 9.5lbs.
Ideally I need to get down to 10st and then reassess. Doing low fat, low sugar and no booze. Not going to count the calories as I can get a little obsessive and the stress can lead to a pointless blowout.

I have the book and it's a revelation - yes, it's quite strict but eases you into a life change. It's not as harsh as a 'proper' keto diet.

I'd like to join too. Going back to SW on Wednesday so will update weight then. I imagine I will have 2 1/2 - 3 stone to lose- hopefully not more!

Not sure if this is too pointy a q but for those who've lost and gained back but are doing things like keto, fasting or replacement shakes do you think it's sustainable this time?

I find I can calorie count but really the only time I lost weight I was AF or run off my feet with a newborn or exercising daily. My diet definitely needs improving but I don't want to start anything that I can't keep up.

I haven't dared to weight myself of late but it will be around over 13st.

I know someone posted a website for ketogenic diets but is there some kind of simple basic list for a weekly diet that's just a printout? Also, one tied in with being on the cheap? Guess I can do that myself, just sardines and brown rice with a bit of onion chopped in would work!

Have we started already? Today I had a large helping of Christmas pudding, two truffles, a bag of crips and a jam doughnut from Sainsbury's. Oh, and a Wispa bar.

Hi I would like to join. Looking at photos over Xmas I was disappointed how big I have got and that I didn’t feel comfortable in my clothes. I have weighed in today at 12 st 9 and I am 5 foot 6. My first goal is to get under 12st but ultimately I want to lose between 2 and 2.5 stones. I will be doing 20 mins of yoga each morning then try for 10k steps a day and weight training at gym 2 or 3 times a week. We can do this!!

I would like to join too please. I’ve joined larger threads before but they’ve always been too daunting. Need to lose about 2 stone, and want to improve general fitness after a terrible couple of years.
Planning to walk more, and eat more sensibly/cut out snacking.

I know everyone's different/built differently but some people's target weights seem on the low side.

Me! That’s exactly my goal. I weighed in at 10st7 on NYD… My goal weight is 8st. I am 5ft with a very sedentary lifestyle (currently).

July is where I was kind of aiming for as well. 6 months to be in fitter shape for summer. I would also love to wear a bikini on the beach (never dared wear one before).

@Fidgetbottom That's kind of what I meant but glad you mentioned you're 5 foot tall 😅I'm 5'7 so I kind of think "OMG, 8 stone isn't much" at first.

That’s amazing @WooMeOut , well done on that weight loss you’ve already achieved.

I’m also in the shorty gang, so the goal weight sounds low but it’s very noticeable that I’m carrying too much for my frame.

@tulips27 Haha I get that! Because I am a shorty, theoretically I can still be in a healthy BMI at 6st10!… I don’t have THAT much willpower though.

I just want to wear one once or I will always look back and just be sad that I clearly felt uncomfortable with my body my entire life.

Can I join? I lost 5 stone 3 years ago but since lockdown and now permanently wfh I’ve piled most of it back on. I exercise loads still but I eat too many processed foods and I have a really sweet tooth. I joined SW last time but can’t stomach going along to weekly meetings again. I have no scales so I’ll be measuring my inches instead - I’m size 14 creeping towards 16 and I want to get back into size 10/12.

I would like to join in. Also looking for 15kg. 75 to 60. I got to 64kg a couple of years ago just before lockdown, then that was the end of that! I was looking at old photos the other day and I was really shocked how much I've aged in the past 5 years. I think it's mostly fat which has aged me. I started using a weight tracker last year but I stopped when I wasn't losing (ie. Making no effort!). Then I started gaining. I like to weigh around 3x per week so I'm not worrying that any weekly weight is abnormally high or low eg. Related to going to the toilet, period weight etc.

@popcornfrenzy thank you, I'll take a look. I did well on keto but found it hard to stick to long term so will take a look at fast 800

I'm another who would be better 15kg lighter. If I'm more than half way to that goal by this time next year I'll be happy, but obviously happier if I was already there and maintaining.....

Hello. Can I join? Have been hovering at the awful 81-83kg mark for years but pre Christmas it snuck up to 85kg. Those extra few kg were the spur I needed to sort myself out as everything got worse - hip ans back pain, indigestion etc. Tried not to blow out too much at Christmas and was cautious in weeks before and last few days. Weighed in at 83.7kg this morning. Really, I need to be 60 kg but after years of current weight I will be thrilled to get to 70kg.

Plan is to cut all snacks and make better and more sensible choices to reduce calories. V low calorie breakfast at least a few times a week and aim for light lunches on fresh soups as often as possible. Then reduce carbs and portion sizes at night. Also no more wine almost every day!!!

Currently walk with dog 4-5 times a week so will make a point of.aiming for harder/faster walking but also want to start c25k again.

Final thing i was doing before Christmas was to spend 5-7 minutes doing some aerobic exercise before showering in the morning. My aim is to kick start my metabolism and start the day right to help motivate me for the rest of the day. I think it did help and I found myself doing it when I felt heavy after a meal or whatever.

Got my first ever bootcamp this morning so we'll see how knackered I am after that!

Just done first weigh in - 69.6kg - doesn't sound big I know but I am v v v short. Going to try and fast until 2pm and will do a 30 minute steep treadmill walk this morning
