Anyone else with 2.5 stone (15kg) to lose?

Hello,
I was wondering if there were a few people who have a similar amount of weight to lose as me who would like to join a little support group.
I find the massive threads a bit overwhelming, and can't relate as much to those needing to lose half a stone or 5 stone. So ideally I'd love a couple of people starting in Jan who are aiming to lose a similar amount.
I'm not planning on doing a specific diet, just eating a lot less rubbish really. My aim is to be done by July 🤞

A small victory for me today..... I haven't weighed as not weigh day but......
I can wear my favourite jeans again. It feels so good. Looking forward to a little extra wiggle room in them still but I can wear them and sit down comfortably. I couldn't even get them done up last year 😀

ednatheevilwitch · 23/02/2023 23:38

I'd like to join but have about 2.5 stone to lose and suspect many of you are halfway through losing the weight!

Rainsdropskeepfalling · 24/02/2023 17:56

I'm nowhere near where I need to be!

Can I please join Just found this thread. Started 2.1 as my daughter is getting married next year. It's a slow process as I have diabetes and PCOS but determined to keep going for health reasons as well. My sugar levels were very high. I have just lost my mum so finding it difficult not to snack

Hi everyone, I’m back after a few weeks of illness and crazy busy life. Weigh in tomorrow Mon to see where I am. Been away for work and went to gym/didn’t go nuts with booze and food so hoping to be at ok place to start again.

@iamloading how has your week been?

Timwith2noses · 26/02/2023 11:39

Back home after a week away, I’ve eaten and drank what I wanted but kept step count high and added in swimming plus ran 5k twice while away. I’m not weighing in until my next weight day (Fri), but I’m back to my usual eating habits from today. I’ve been to hot yoga this morning and I’m running a half marathon later this year so I need to up my training and add more strength work.

Plan for now is to continue upping the exercise and maintaining 1600kcal/day with odd days off completely (and without guilt) for planned events. I still need to lose a couple of stone I think, but I’m more focused on the fitness goals and might need to change my dietary habits to suit what I’m trying to achieve.

Hope everyone is doing well 😊

Rainsdropskeepfalling · 26/02/2023 15:07

Don't you hate it when you get on the scales and overnight they tell you you've put on 1.5kg? I'm sure it's not true but one or more of the numbers must be wrong (yesterday/today) and I know it's a good reason to only weigh once a week but if I did that and got today's number, I would just give up....

Fidgetbottom · 26/02/2023 16:55

It should be my weigh in day today but I have had a terrible diet week. I didn’t just fall off the wagon, I dived face-first off the wagon onto a pebblestone path of calories.

Hesitant to weigh myself today… thinking I should just skip this week.

Queeniewag · 27/02/2023 08:14

Could I join too. I started last Monday but really need some accountability and help to keep going. I’ve got to the stage where I can’t look in a full length mirror and some horrifying family pictures taken on holiday in half term have made me pull my big girl pants on and do this. I’m doing if for real this time no giving up till goal is reached. Managed to stick to it for a week now so best I’ve done for a long time! Nights out are my big downfall. Alcohol seems to turn straight to fat on me followed by a day of carb loading. I have a night out every week for next 4 weeks which I somehow need to manage. So frustrating as I do well all other times and one night out can undo a whole week.

Okay. I've just done my first weigh in.

I have to say after a week of being very good and no cheating 1/4 lb seems like a travesty. But I need to get into the mindset that I cant let anything derail me so onwards and upwards. Good luck for others weighing in!

ProjectsGalore · 27/02/2023 08:38

@Fidgetbottom gentle nudge to weigh in anyway. It might not be as bad as you think on the scales and if it is then it might galvanise you to be strict this week. Better to know that be in limbo and not take action this week.....

Welcome all the new people. It's a long slog so lots to say.

Only a pound down this week which is a shame but I have been slightly more lax. Need to get my arse in gear as I have 10 weeks to lose another 22lb if possible before an event so need to average just over 2 a week.

What’s for lunch today everyone? I’m currently eating an omelette filled with random freezer veg due to total lack of inspiration.

my husband has meal planned and shopped for this week which is fine, but consequently I haven’t really thought about what I’m eating for lunches…

nevertakeadvicefromsomeonewhosfallingapart · 27/02/2023 15:53

Forgot to weigh myself this morning, but not expecting much as it's been s rubbish weekend foodwise, out a lot and drank too much 🫣 but will weigh tomorrow morning. I'll be as good as I can be this week though as don't want to undo all the good work and would like to reach a stone off milestone!

Savemesome · 27/02/2023 15:58

Leftover broccoli pad Thai for lunch here, feeling pretty peckish already though! Is it teatime yet…

weigh in day on Wednesday after a week of mixed success so trying to be focussed today and tomorrow

popandchoc · 27/02/2023 19:26

Had a bad few days including eating out around 4 days in a row. Apparently gained 4 lbs in the last week which i am hoping is mostly water weight.
Back on it today though!

Fidgetbottom · 27/02/2023 19:45

@ProjectsGalore You are absolutely right of course so I decided to weigh in today, 9st10. Which is actually only 1lb heavier than I was last week. (I have been course correcting for the last few days which seems to have mitigated some damage!)

Thank you. :) Time to get back into gear. Still plenty of time to see some massive changes by summer!

Well done everyone who is still plodding on and well done to those of us who have fallen but are dusting ourselves off to get back on. We got this.

Cuckoosheep · 27/02/2023 19:56

Well done @Fidgetbottom - not too bad considering. Keep going. We can do this!

LavenderfortheBees · 27/02/2023 21:31

I had a poached duck egg and two bacon medallions for lunch. Comes out at roughly 200 calories and feels super indulgent. Lots of protein as well to get me through to dinner.

nevertakeadvicefromsomeonewhosfallingapart · 28/02/2023 09:52

Weigh in;
Starting weight: 13 st 4
Current weight: 12 st 6
Goal weight: 11 st

Im happy with that, no damage caused by the eating and drinking over the weekend!

Shodan · 28/02/2023 13:14

Weigh in day for me too.

SW: 13st 3lb

CW: 12st 4lb

GW: 11st 6lb (ish)

Didn't lose any last week, but that's no surprise- despite doing a lot of manual labour (demolishing a conservatory and breaking concrete!) I ate back every calorie I used in the form of biscuits, chocolate brownies, cheese on toast, chinese takeaway... and enjoyed every single bite 😁

Back on the wagon again now though. I still have my eye on the main prize, but also on the interim prixe (one small mini egg easter egg when I hit 12 st 3lb, which will be one full stone loss. Hopefully next week!)
