Anyone else with 2.5 stone (15kg) to lose?

Hello,
I was wondering if there were a few people who have a similar amount of weight to lose as me who would like to join a little support group.
I find the massive threads a bit overwhelming, and can't relate as much to those needing to lose half a stone or 5 stone. So ideally I'd love a couple of people starting in Jan who are aiming to lose a similar amount.
I'm not planning on doing a specific diet, just eating a lot less rubbish really. My aim is to be done by July 🤞

Here's my progress since Jan 20th:

SW: 12 stone 1
CW: 11 stone 2
GW: 9 stone 7
Loss: 13lbs!

I'm nearly a stone down in a month! I've been sticking to a strict calorie deficit and haven't bought any snacks or choc.

Timwith2noses · 18/02/2023 11:48

How many of us are still actively using this thread?

RomanMum · 18/02/2023 14:03

I fell off in a big way but need some accountability. Will get back to it on Monday and off booze for Lent which will help.

Shodan · 18/02/2023 14:17

@Timwith2noses

I'm still here! Mostly just for checking in weekly though tbh. It helps to have some small amount of accountability.

Shodan · 18/02/2023 14:19

I just bought 4 of those small Mini Egg easter eggs cos they were 75p at Mozzas. DS2 has been tasked with hiding them for me until I hit the 1 stone loss mark, at which time he is allowed to give me ONE. The rest are to stay hidden until I hit my goal weight 😂

Fidgetbottom · 19/02/2023 10:23

Very happy weigh in day today. I am down 1.5lb! Brings my total to 12lb. That is now over 1/3rd of the way there :)

SW: 10s7
CW: 9st9
GW: 8st

I am also no longer classed as overweight according to my BMI (yes I know how crap BMI is as a measurement!).

Plus I am seeing some huge differences in my progress photos when I put them next to my starting ones.

popandchoc · 19/02/2023 11:36

I'm still here. Didn't have a great start of the week but been a bit better last couple of days.
Can feel my clothes are definitely less tight.

@Shodan great idea with the easter eggs.

Doingitriggtthistime · 19/02/2023 14:31

I'm still here. not weighing this week iv had a dreadful few days half term got the better of me plus new pup and no sleep=disaster. I believe iv stayed within my calories but the wrong choices all round...... well done everyone who is still going strong

LavenderfortheBees · 20/02/2023 08:47

Weighed in this morning at 11st 10lb which is 11lb down in four weeks.

3lb off this week.

1.5st to go until healthy BMI and maybe 2-2.5 until I'm at a proper goal.

Fairly pleased as I had a cheat day on Saturday and gave into cravings for takeaway pizza. Had threw slices, one slice of garlic bread, two bits of chicken and two cookies. Much less than i would usually and very satisfying.

popandchoc · 20/02/2023 11:58

Well done @LavenderfortheBees

no loss here this week sadly . Not sure the next week will be much better as have a few meals out but will do my best rest of the time!

popandchoc · 20/02/2023 12:44

Actually i take it back. Just logged my weight in MFP and have lost 1lb, think i forgot my weight last week.

SW : 13st 13lbs
CW: 13 st 3lbs
TW 10st 7 lbs

10lbs lost altogether so doing ok!

OakTreex · 20/02/2023 15:04

Checking in!

Shocked to discover that in one month I have managed to lose a stone.
SW: 12 stone 1
CW: 11 stone 1
GW: 9 stone 7lbs

I'm 5'6 for context. Being at 11 stone 1 now puts me into the (v high end of) normal weight as opposed to overweight so feels like a great goal has been hit, but still a way to go to my comfortable weight. Hoping to see a 10 instead of an 11 soon!

Well done all on your losses, maintenance or even just keeping on trucking

Doingitriggtthistime · 20/02/2023 19:12

I weighed today in the end after my very bad choices last week I have gained 0.3 gutted bit im OK with that as I want to be able to maintain this in the long run. I'm making better choices this week. Long may it continue 🤣

Shodan · 21/02/2023 08:04

Weigh in day for me again.

Start weight :13st 3lb
CW: 12 st 4lb
GW: 11st 6lb ish.

Another 2lb down, which I'm very pleased with, in light of the extremely large bucket of popcorn I had at the cinema last week (plus a Nandos a couple of days earlier).

I suppose, if I'd wanted to (and had the willpower) I could've been losing 3lb a week by refusing all meals out/snacks/treats but tbh, I'd rather do it this way. It works better for me.

And anyway- next week will hopefully be the time I hit my 1 stone loss and then I get a mini egg easter egg 😁

Daffyaboutdaffs · 21/02/2023 09:58

Hi all I joined at the start and then sort of fell off. Initially lost a 1lb a week for 4 weeks. No surprise to weigh in today and see I am back to start weight because of some bad choices.
SW 12st 8.
I have a holiday in 8 weeks time and am determined to get under 12st by then.
I have still been exercising every day but need to stay strong with the meals out.

Daffyaboutdaffs · 21/02/2023 09:59

Well done to everybody who has stayed strong. You are amazing!

imperialqueen · 21/02/2023 13:40

Hope it is ok for me to join at this late stage. I would love to lose 2.5 stone. I am 12 stone 3lb and 5ft 8.

Hoping that by making healthier choices and stopping the evening/night time snacking will help me reach my goal.

Will report in next week with new weight (hopefully a bit lighter). Well done to everyone on this thread who are losing the weight.

TheLostArt · 21/02/2023 14:51

Went for a very short lunchtime run as working from home today. I am not a natural runner!

@tentonineandahalf I'll join you again, I managed a week but have put those 2lbs back on, so starting again, again (again !)

iamloading · 21/02/2023 19:57

So I hid the thread after a ridiculous 3 weeks of socialising that I couldn't really avoid. I've put 3lbs on which could be worse, but still 10lbs lost.
Back on the wagon now so back on the the accountability thread!

Went to a conference yesterday and it was a trial! Lovely food put out for breakfast, lunch and morning/afternoon breaks. I ate more than I usually would but avoided the donuts/cake and left before the drinks came out at least. Will count it as my cheat day for the week!

Lozzybear · 22/02/2023 09:24

I fell off the wagon last week due to half term and going on a short break - hotel breakfasts!!

Anyway, I started back on Monday, weighed myself this morning and haven’t put anything back on. Still seven pounds down. Hoping to lose again this week.

nevertakeadvicefromsomeonewhosfallingapart · 22/02/2023 11:29

I'm more or less doing ok, I eat well if I'm going out, but at home I'm very sensible. I can see that the urge to snack in the evening is creeping in again, but I haven't given in yet. I've lost 11 lbs since I started beginning of January, which I'm pleased about, but feeling a little impatient at times. I'm sticking to 16:8 mostly though and when at home I don't eat more than 1200 calories a day.
