Hello,
I was wondering if there were a few people who have a similar amount of weight to lose as me who would like to join a little support group.
I find the massive threads a bit overwhelming, and can't relate as much to those needing to lose half a stone or 5 stone. So ideally I'd love a couple of people starting in Jan who are aiming to lose a similar amount.
I'm not planning on doing a specific diet, just eating a lot less rubbish really. My aim is to be done by July 🤞

Starting weight - 13st 4lbs
Current weight - 12st 12lbs
Current target - 11st 7lbs

I think that's probably all the Christmas (water) weight gone. Now I need to shift the other 8lbs I gained in December. I know that'll take a lot longer but I feel motivated to do it.
I'm doing well with calorie counting - I've been under every day so far, averaging about 1450 cals a day.
Well done everyone 😊

pisspants · 09/01/2023 08:03

Oh dear, I weighted in today and I am up 2lb at 13 stone. I started my period today so hoping that's part of the reason, but I have still been over indulging.finishing off xmas cheese and baileys I've managed to do yoga (yoga with Adrienne in You Tube) every day except for Saturday so am feeling positive about that at least. New week and deffo hope to see some loss before next Monday.
Well done to everyone who has seen a loss this week

beepbeepme · 09/01/2023 08:41

First proper weigh in this morning, 12 st 13.5 lbs, so a loss of 4 lbs which I'm very happy with, also an inch of my waist and boobs, half off my hips.

Lozzybear · 09/01/2023 08:43

I’m joining late as it was my birthday at the weekend so had to delay untuck after that! Current weight 12.7 stone. Target is 10.7 so two stone to lose!

iamloading · 09/01/2023 09:20

First weigh in for me (I'm still in kg at the moment as I'm too ashamed to know what stone it is!)
Starting weight 76kg
New weight 72.7kg
Loss 3.3kg or 7lbs

I'll never lose that much weight again in one week - defo a result of all the Christmas rubbish! But I'm still thrilled!

3kg until my first treat!

Starting weight : 13 st 13 lbs
Current weight: 13st 9 lbs
Target weight 10st 10lbs

Pleased with 4lbs off although know it will be harder going forward. Will be getting more exercise this week though as youngest DD is back to school and i am in the office two days . I walk my daughter to school 3 days a week and then walk from the train station to my office twice a week . Also back to my legs, bums and tums class that i haven't been to for a few weeks on Friday.

Well done for all the losses, doing great!

AFineBalance · 09/01/2023 09:42

sounds like mostly some good weigh ins

Start weight 12st 10
Current weight 12st 7
Target 10st 4

managed 3lbs in first week but think that was mostly the easier part - cutting down post Christmas ie not having two puddings a day plus mince pies

crymeout · 09/01/2023 09:45

Can I join? I have 2st 9lb to lose.

Weighing in at 12st 9lb
Goal weight: 10st

Going to cut down portion sizes and try and have 5 decent walks a week- here's hoping anyway!

TheLostArt · 09/01/2023 09:56

Scales currently showing a 4 pound difference in the same weighing session so either lost 2.5 pounds, 3.5 pounds or 6.5 pounds. Going to stick with the highest weight so that when I replace them any surprise will hopefully be a good one tempting as it is to claim a huge loss!

SpaceOP · 09/01/2023 10:34

Well done everyone!

Like a PP - I find the weekends harder but at least I haven't been snacking a lot. I did have a few drinks over the weekend and dinners were a bit heavier than during the week. It's been a bit mental and I only had 3.5 hours sleep last night and had to do an emergency vet run at 5am and still waiting to hear from them this morning to see how she is.

I'm weighing in tomorrow - basically roughly every 4 days. Hoping that this bad weekend won't have undone the 0.7kg I'd lost in the first half of last week. I feel bloated and unpleasant today - probably combination of tiredness and less than brilliant dinner last night (was good during the day but we had tacos in the evening and while I didn't gorge myself, I suspect my body prefers the lighter/veg heavy meals I've been having).

roselune · 09/01/2023 11:21

Had to adjust my starting weight up last week when I realised my scales were inconsistent and running out of battery. A new battery sorted it. Weekly weigh in this morning and I've lost 1.2kg - happy with that. 😊

CalmConfident · 09/01/2023 13:38

Weigh in. 72.15…so close to 1kg lost. That gets me back to pre “twix-mas” point.

This week, carry on with IF, follow my exercise plan and drink more water.

CalmConfident · 09/01/2023 13:42

Meant to do the stats

Starting weight : 73.1 kg
Current weight: 72.15 kg
Target weight: 64.0 kg

1st milestone aiming for is to get into the 60s kg

Whydidimarryhim · 09/01/2023 15:46

I decided to weigh myself today - lost 3 pounds
starting weight 12 stone 10
today 12 stone 7
Im aiming for 12 stone initially as I find it more manageable to think about smaller amounts. I’m pleased with this.
Sticking with 1200 calories a day and walking some days -

beepbeepme · 09/01/2023 15:51

I think if I could get down to 11 stone something I'd be very happy to be honest. More is just a bonus.

Yerroblemom1923 · 09/01/2023 16:13

12.6 st so 3lbs lost this week. I'm happy with that. Doing dry jan is helping and trying to stick to 1000 cal each day, although I'm not really counting fruit.
Onwards and downwards, ladies!

Timwith2noses · 09/01/2023 19:13

All going well here, I did cave and step on the scales this morning (now wish I hadn’t as it was more than I expected). I’m not going to weigh regularly though, and really try and go off how I feel rather than numbers on the scale.

Started week 2 of C25k this morning, I’m hoping to get back to parkrun in a few weeks, it’s been months since I last did one (maybe last summer?). Made good choices and just cooked a chicken curry with my leftovers from Sunday dinner for dinner today.

I need some healthy lunch inspo - I’ve done quite a lot of soup recently and it’s good but I can feel myself getting a little bit bored of it. Does anyone have any fairly quick (and cheap) lunch ideas for 1? I’m usually WFH and if not then I eat in the car so those days would be a wrap, but it’s the WFH days really that I could do with inspo for!

crymeout · 09/01/2023 19:45

Hi all,

I have set a calorie daily limit of 1200 but I have gone nearly 200 over, so my intake today was just under 1400, which is better than my usual 2000ish. I know a lot of people start really strong and are really strict at first, so I'm disappointed that I'm not the same.

popcornfrenzy · 09/01/2023 20:58

Hey everyone!

Just catching up with the thread and been reading about some great first weigh-ins.

I weighed and measured this morning and I'm 4lbs down - 2 inches off waist and 1 inch off my hips.

I've been doing my hula hooping every day and can really feel it in my legs and tummy.

Onwards and downwards people 💪🏻🥳

Well done OP! That's an amazing loss, well done to everyone else too x

MortimerTheCat · 09/01/2023 21:33

Can I join please, I have 2 stone to lose, and unfortunately exercise is off the menu for me due to an injury 😭 I will be calorie counting and cutting out all the snacks and crap!

Endofmytetherfinally · 09/01/2023 21:40

Great losses everyone. I'm not trying to lose as I'm pregnant but this is definitely helping make healthier choices. Also went to yoga the last 2 days and feel so much better.

StreamingCervix · 09/01/2023 22:02

@Timwith2noses how do you feel about omelettes? You can do lots of different fillings to make some variety. Stir fried vegetables are nice and quick, with being low calorie if you’re careful with the oil.
