Anyone else with 2.5 stone (15kg) to lose?

Hello,
I was wondering if there were a few people who have a similar amount of weight to lose as me who would like to join a little support group.
I find the massive threads a bit overwhelming, and can't relate as much to those needing to lose half a stone or 5 stone. So ideally I'd love a couple of people starting in Jan who are aiming to lose a similar amount.
I'm not planning on doing a specific diet, just eating a lot less rubbish really. My aim is to be done by July 🤞

I'm afraid I ate an individual meat pie tonight!! Gluten free though! Was with mash and peas with pancetta. Came in about 800 Cals in total -

Crikeyalmighty · 07/01/2023 20:57

@Savemesome I'm doing the same next week. I don't tend to follow exactly- it's more the motivation of being weighed by someone else and seeing it written down- bizzare really I know!!

SpaceOP · 07/01/2023 21:01

Very bad day today, but I just really really hope it doesn't undo all the good I've done. It's so frustrating when you are doing well for a week, lose some weigh, ten find yourself ack where you started because of one bad day.

Don't beat yourself up - put a line under today and start fresh tomorrow! We all fall off the wagon at times. We're right behind you!

BlueSuffragette · 08/01/2023 09:34

Just weighed myself after the first week of cutting out eating most of the crap and trying to eat more healthier. Lost 4 lb! Feel really pleased. Long way to go but moving in the right direction.

iamloading · 08/01/2023 09:50

Wow some amazing weigh ins! Well done everyone. Mine is tomorrow and I feel nervous! Really hope it's not disheartening

Weighed today (end of week 1) and I’ve lost 1.2kg / 2.65lb. I have managed to stick to my 1200 calories every day. Managed 4 light workouts. No wine 😱 Motivation is still a 10/10. There was only one evening where I wanted to cheat but I made myself a herbal tea and rode it out.

Same height and weight as me! My first weigh in today- 12st8lbs, never been so heavy, and being on the shorter side it's so obvious!

Been exercising a lot this week (swimming and weights- ive hurt my foot so running is out currently) , and being more conscious of food. So hoping I'll see a result. Only going to weigh weekly though to prevent becoming obsessive!

Same here, only weighing in weekly. I tried Noom a couple of years ago and I couldn’t handle their daily weigh ins.

wfrances · 08/01/2023 12:19

My weigh in is tomorrow
Not looking forward to it , still can't stop snacking but no alcohol since New Year's Eve .

CalmConfident · 08/01/2023 13:08

Just had carrot soup for lunch, fingers crossed for positive progress at weigh in. Managed to get my 10k steps most days too

Whydidimarryhim · 08/01/2023 14:04

Sticking to 1200 calories - day 6 today - can’t get myself out for a walk - good luck with the weigh ins tomorrow.

Rainsdropskeepfalling · 08/01/2023 14:09

1.6kg off for me this week - I know I should be happy but I lost that in the first 3 days.... I need to give my head a shake and embrace the loss but why oh why do I tell myself that I always lose in the first 1-3 days of any diet and then that's it?

Averaged 13.5k steps with walks and runs - 70km according to my (somewhat optimistic watch). I don't think I will be able to increase the amount of exercise easily, so it's going to all done to diet.

Good luck all those weighing tomorrow!

Is anyone else struggling with the weekend? I can create discipline and routine on the work days, but weekends mean I don’t have a set pattern so I’m reaching for snacks, particularly late at night. I still feel motivated and I’ve kept up with my water intake and not completely binged, I just find it much harder.

well done to everyone who’s managing to do exercise as well, I feel like I need to focus all of myself on the diet front. Exercising makes me feel ravenously hungry!

popandchoc · 08/01/2023 15:39

Well done on the losses !
Weigh in tomorrow here too .

Me! Sooo much harder. Especially because Saturday night used to mean a bottle of wine and a takeaway! Confused

5lbs loss in my first week.
Now I know it isn’t all fat loss and it more than likely mostly water weight…. I had a giant Chinese takeaway on NYE (day before first weigh in) and my period has now come and gone in that time too.

BUT! Really happy regardless! Took some new photos… can’t really notice much difference apart from my back fat creases perhaps look a little less deep. Haha

Well done everyone and good luck for those weighing in tomorrow!

limerentidiot · 08/01/2023 17:19

My scales battery finally arrived and I am the same as whenever I last weighed in December, 168lb. Want to see it go down!

Timwith2noses · 08/01/2023 18:05

@StreamingCervix I’d usually feel the same about weekends but I think being dry is helping me at the moment. Not sure I will be able to keep going as well as I have this weekend in Feb when I add alcohol back in the mix!

Good day for me on day 7, haven’t exercised but have lots of calories left for a lovely roast dinner this evening. Starting week 2 C25k tomorrow morning.

iamloading · 08/01/2023 18:25

Having a Monday weigh in is helping my weekend motivation. I don't want to undo it all before I even know what I've lost if that makes sense!

Have done my weekly weigh in started at 10 stone 12.6 and am now 10 stone 11.2, so have lost 1.4 lbs this week. I haven’t been following a diet as such, but cutting carbs, am doing dry January and exercising more. Now that im not drinking every day I can commit to doing 5:2 which will be Mondays and Thursdays.

beepbeepme · 08/01/2023 23:11

Ok, not a great day for me foodwise as I've been out and about all day. Hopefully I can still stick to 16:8, although ate later than I wanted to.

I had a banana and a ryvita with a tiny bit of butter and cheese and a coffee with milk for breakfast, two crumpets with butter and a coffee with milk for lunch and a jacket potato with chilli con carne and coleslaw for dinner, but only ate half of it, plus a small coke and a coffee for dinner. Not too bad all things considered.

wfrances · 09/01/2023 06:52

Starting weight - 11.566 stone
Current weight -11.267 stone
Still feel bloated and uncomfortable though
Aiming to lose 1-2 lb a week

Hoping Monday weigh in will help with my weekends too
As In the past the weekends have been my downfall

RomanMum · 09/01/2023 07:19

Weighed in and 2lb off. A good start.

PomRuns · 09/01/2023 07:21

2lb for me too. I didn’t stick to fast 800 as was unwell. Starting again today.
well done everyone 😊
