fedda ,what naughty stuff have you got?could you choose the lower cal version.ie a curly wurly instead of a mars bar.so not giving it up but being more careful

OP posts:
fedda · 09/02/2008 21:35

Naughty stuff? Well, of course my jam. A can of jam disappears in less then 3 days!

katylessbumpy · 09/02/2008 21:40

but your jam is a replacement for sugar so therefore good and it has fruit in it and you stayed out of the coffee shop.gold star for you my friend

Hi there

can i join in pleeeeaaassee??!!

I too am trying to get back on the wagon but have been finding it really hard.
I did WW about 5 yrs ago before i met dh... i lost 3 1/2 stone and hit goal of 8st 7lb. Then met dh, had a baby 4 months ago and i am stuck at a massive 11st 7lb.

Its the heaviest i have ever been and i truly hate myself and my body.

I've been trying to do the WW points at home without having to go to the meetings, but its not working.
I may have to join up again....

I've been reading through some of your posts here.... feel inspired to go back and do it properly, maybe thats why i'm not doing very well....

susiecutiemincepies · 09/02/2008 22:41

I have been having a good think about what i eat. And think it more a case of what I dont eat. IYSWIM? I dont eat reguarly enough at all. THis is why I think slimfast IS the best diet for me. I feel queasy so much of the time with this morphine so I dont really think about eating often. Where i'm going wrong is that I'm not eating ENOUGH... hmm, ironic hey!

I need to have the two shakes/smoothie/bar that you have as the meal replacement, then I need to have the snacks they tell you to have. or at least things of the same calorific value. Lastly, I need to eat a proper meal in the evening. A proper balanced meal. Also to make sure i drink enough water in the day. which i think i do already.

I think that maybe my metabolism has slowed down a huge amount. Plus the fact that i'm not able to exercise. I reckon that every time I do eat properly, my system is so shocked, it stores it as fat... so, from MONDAY ( as i need to order the shopping online! ) I will be doing this properly.

I"m going to give it 2 weeks on the slimfast, doing it really properly and see how I get on. Failing a weight loss, I will consider doing Slimming world again, online though, as I cant get out to a meeting every week. The only problem I can foresee with SW is that like I said before, i just dont feel like eating, and I seem to remember the key with that before, and the success ihad doing it, was that I was eating loads and loads when i lost weight. I did it really sucesfully and kept the weight off for years, it only went back on after i'd had Isobel. I actually lost weight when I was preg, due to my back, mediation and feeling sick from the meds. I put it on when i was breastfeeding

Anyway... long I know, but I hope you've read it all! I need to know all your opinions on what i've said please... am I right do yu think, or just talking Bolleux ?

KATY Thanks for reading my blog! pssssst... you could put a comment on it you know

mine welcome to the thread. Glad you feel inspired! you can do it... motivation and inspiration is the biggest part of the problem, so you are already well on your way

have had a busy day soft play party and house cleaning etc

hope you had a bit of space katy!

brekkie cornflakes
snack party ring biscuit
lunch low fat cream cheese and salad sarnie with pickles and a few crisps
eve half an oven fish, wedges and mushy peas

tommorrow we are having frieds round for lunch so will be having minimal brekkie to make allowances for the soup/goats cheese tart, roast veg,new potatoes,salad/chocolate and grand marnier fondue with dipping fruit, mallows and biscuits (am putting aside paul mck "stop as soon as you are full....otherwise i might not get my pud!)

OP posts:
susiecutiemincepies · 10/02/2008 00:02

Hi kAty, I was here all along...

Fedda, I think you are doing better than you think. The fact you know what your weaknesses are, is really part of the battle ( without wishing to repeat myself at what I said to Mine ) really though, its when you bumble along , not knowing whats doing it when you have problems... you know what you need to do to change, so try to feel more positive about it
you will get there, it may take time. It may take a long time, like it will with me, but the slower you lose it, the longer it will stay off. It will mean you are making sustainable changes, rather than faddy un realistic changes.

I know myself, that once I lose the weight, it really will stay off, as I am not eating bad food anymore, and basically staying the same weight. I have always always in the past, lost weight and kept it off, keeping a really really steady, stable weight for a really long time. I only put it back on if something happens, i.e. br feeding isobel, and in the past, periods of immobility or post operativly...

you can do this, trust yourself more

MrsFish · 10/02/2008 07:40

susie - you are talking correctly, your body needs to know when the food is coming, at regular intervals otherwise it goes into starvation mode and keeps a hold of any calories it does have Good luck. Oh and how do I read your blog?

Mine - Hello, you made it over from the sept topic then, my first goal is to be the weight you are now
