... and I worked so hard to lose baby weight. Got down to just below target goal and now I'm heavier than it again!
Too many takeaways and family sized bars of chocolates watching stranger things every evening with my other half. Anyway we've finished stranger things now (until next week...) and we've got a wedding to go to next month so I really need to be mindful again!!
So plan for today is pram walk to go and get bits for tea, chasseur with some potatoes and veg, and buy no treats. Will do 10,000 steps.
Drink loads of water to fill me up and hydrate myself as I haven't been doing too well at that lately either.
And no chocolate

Weight this morning 11 stone 1lb

Hey gang - I'm still here but not weighing myself for a few days. My period has gone AWOL, 8 days late now. So whatever my body is up to I'm not weighing myself until I know I'll get a fair trial on the scales! But still trying to be careful and getting out for a cycle tonight 😊

NoHeavenNoMore · 02/09/2022 07:04

Hey @Twooforjoy hope you're feeling okay!!

10 stone 9 today. Tummy is looking a lot flatter I must say however I've probably been bloated due to pms.

I love this time of year now, can't wait for crunchy, cooler walks wearing a coat and boots and not having to worry about sun cream for the little one, or a hat or me getting sweaty or any of that other stuff!! Hoping to spend much more time outside now 🥲
Hope everyone has a great day

Hello how are you all?

I got on the scales a few days ago 11st 9 - grrr

BUT

Period then arrived almost two weeks late, what a killer.

Then I headed away for a weekend and now I have covid!

I'd love to hear how you're all doing 😊

Twooforjoy · 07/09/2022 10:53

11 8 this morning, side effect of covid.

NoHeavenNoMore · 09/09/2022 19:58

Hey two, how are you feeling?

I'm doing well, had a busy couple of weeks and just maintained my weight. I really need to get moving to lose more weight. But do you know what, right now I just feel comfortable? Ive not really felt this way about my body before since having my little one.

I'm torn whether to sign up for a class or not

OP posts:
Twooforjoy · 09/09/2022 20:15

Hey @NoHeavenNoMore I think that's great. You don't 'need' to shift any weight, you're already at a very healthy weight, and it's so so good to hear you say you feel comfortable. That's excellent!

I feel similarly but not consistently. I recently was away for a family weekend and I scrubbed up and felt absolutely brilliant.

I'm another - 1lb purely from covid. Still feeling covid crappy but appetite is back so it'll all balance out. I'm still testing positive and couldn't do much physically so that's exercise ruled out for the next little while!

Twooforjoy · 09/09/2022 20:18
  • do you mean a gym class? Would you try running by any chance? It's just so easy in the sense that you do it when you can find 30 mins, it doesn't take hours of time from your day and you don't need to drive anywhere to do it (unless you're about to do a marathon!) but I used to find it a really efficient way to exercise.
NoHeavenNoMore · 10/09/2022 08:22

I think just being aware and taking control of body/diet/weight can make you feel much better. Rather than burying your head in the sand. I asked my other half what he thought of my body last night and he gave me some nice compliments. Then we started looking at old photos and he said "see look how round your face is here after having the baby, it's not like that anymore" 😂 I know it was a compliment but it made me chuckle!!

So lovely to hear that you felt good when you were all scrubbed up 🥰 I don't really get the opportunity ar the moment so usually just in jeans at the weekend. I was wearing a lot of dresses until they lady asked me if I was expecting again grrr

Hope your Covid clears up soon! Have you had someone looking after you? i imagine that's why your cycle was all messed up as well, I've heard that can be the case!

OP posts:
NoHeavenNoMore · 10/09/2022 08:24

I used to run, however I had knee surgery last year and have been advised that I wouldn't be able to run again. I have a bike but I'm too afraid to use it on the roads because of cars.
I suppose I could try going for a run because I'm not in any pain anymore and I do lots of walking which hasn't caused any further discomfort. I quite fancied doing a boot camp type thing at a weekend 🤔

OP posts:
Twooforjoy · 10/09/2022 12:35

I'm the same, I can't run since childbirth after a nasty episiotomy that damaged my pelvic floor. I've had to very carefully pick my exercise to work with postpartum "me". I sometimes think oh could I...? Bur to be honest I found it handy but I never loved it.

Do the boot camp that's what's calling!

First day of a negative test - yay! I still feel v ropey but I will take the dog out for a walk at least. But of fresh air.

I stood in a field yesterday (completely alone) and let the kids run wild with the dog. My joints felt knackered after it (all I did was stand!!!) I felt about 90 years old and couldn't wait to get home into a chair. Covid!!!!

NoHeavenNoMore · 10/09/2022 17:03

I like your thinking two! I'm being drawn to it for a reason 😃

Fortunately we've not experienced Covid in our household (yet!) but I have heard people have horrific symptoms like yours 😞 so glad you're testing negative now, hopefully you will get a good rest tonight and feel a bit better still tomorrow.

OP posts:
NoHeavenNoMore · 10/09/2022 17:04

Also the episiotomy, ouch. I feel your pain on that one. I still think it feels very different one year on!!

OP posts:
Twooforjoy · 16/09/2022 09:24

Hey ladies! Anyone about?

I am 11 7.0 today - v happy with that. Son has been in hospital and I did my best not to grab bad food.

It's time to admit what I hate to say but my snacking when the kids go to bed is unreal. I'm not even hungry, it's a habit, it's like "this is my time" and I pick away at bad food.

Anyway I stopped it last night. It was like a constant in my head, but I realised I'm not even hungry. It's like smoking, total habit. (I quit 17 years ago!)

NoHeavenNoMore · 20/09/2022 20:22

Hey @Twooforjoy sorry for my silence!
So pleased you're happy with your progress. You are doing so well! I am holding steady here, I must admit I have not been having shakes for lunch but having some soup instead. Definitely been moving around less as well but it will do for now.
Sorry your son was in hospital, hope he is feeling much better now!

Not meaning to bring a thread back from the dead I am still plugging away here. I'm now at 11st 5lbs all week. Yay!

My eating habits are really improving, I can see now I was bingeing in the evenings on crap.

I hope everyone is doing well!

If the thread has had its day that's grand too Smile

NoHeavenNoMore · 14/10/2022 10:35

Hellooo two!!

No the thread hasn't had it's day, I've just gone back to work from maternity and been horrendously busy and my scales have run out of battery so I haven't weighed myself haha

I am feeling pretty good though! going to buy batteries this morning

OP posts:
Twooforjoy · 14/10/2022 11:27

Hellooooo @NoHeavenNoMore !!! 👋

Yay, good to hear from you! How is going back in work? I'm sure it's MANIC!

NoHeavenNoMore · 14/10/2022 11:31

Congrats on your loss and maintenance by the way! That's good going. I'm looking forward to knowing where I'm at, I have definitely been eating less during the day and I feel slimmer around my waist and ribs.

It's good to be back at work but hard only seeing my LO for an hour or so in the evenings before she goes to bed. But it is all worth it when I think of our future and plans we have made etc!

How are you getting on now, health wise?

OP posts:
Twooforjoy · 16/10/2022 19:07

Sounds like you're definitely doing well 👍

Oh I remember the rollercoaster of going back, the millions of emotions. So much going on at any one time! Life admin gets very full on!

Health wise, hmm, I'm constantly catching one virus after other, irs been a reminder to myself (a stark one) to take better care of myself. I think when I life gets really busy I can live on cardboard and not expect any repercussions Confused and I'm anaemic now. Boo.

Got a bike ride in yesterday and a dog walk, 11st 5.0 today but I took the kids to the cinema and "helped myself" so I may see that tomorrow on the scales!

NoHeavenNoMore · 23/10/2022 10:01

Okay. I am back, for good.

I have batteries in my scales again (yay) and I'm back up to 10 stone 10. I don't really mind this weight however I ate pizza last night and some sweets and was awake half the night feeling absolutely awful and just feel crap today.
My other half says he feels rubbish too so I think we're going to cut out the crap now for the next few weeks. I'm going to get back onto shakes (must buy some milk today)
The weather is absolutely awful so I doubt there will be a walk but I have sold some items on Vinted so I do need to get out of the house in a bit. Getting my OH started with the food helps too. If he's not snacking then there's less chance I will be too.

Hope everyone is having having a lovely weekend!

OP posts:
NoHeavenNoMore · 27/10/2022 19:47

10 stone 9 this morning.
Toast this morning.
Just some soup for lunch and a couple of biscuits in work. Been very busy!
Had some pasta for tea and no chocolate in the house so a good evening for me.

Meeting my friend tomorrow for breakfast so I'll be indulging a bit there, but not going to go mad. Determined to get my stomach down a bit more

OP posts:
Twooforjoy · 27/10/2022 23:34

Oh good on ya! That's great!

I've fallen off the wagon somewhat (but not too badly, I hope), this week. I got my period which usually turns me into a chocolate and crisp eating lunatic. I most definitely indulged but not the rampage that it usually is. So I haven't weighed myself the last three days. I think I'll aim for Sunday and that'll help pull me back in lane too!

Hoping there's no major damage done!

NoHeavenNoMore · 28/10/2022 09:53

Omg @Twooforjoy, I am exactly the same when on (this week).
10 stone 9 again this morning. I don't really feel too hungry, just meeting up with my friend in a moment but don't think I'll go for the all you can eat option like I usually do 😉

I'm thinking of doing some sort of challenge through November to keep me on board. Maybe no meat Monday or similar. I don't drink or smoke, not too sure I can give up chocolate for a whole month. Bread would be a real challenge for me...
