... and I worked so hard to lose baby weight. Got down to just below target goal and now I'm heavier than it again!
Too many takeaways and family sized bars of chocolates watching stranger things every evening with my other half. Anyway we've finished stranger things now (until next week...) and we've got a wedding to go to next month so I really need to be mindful again!!
So plan for today is pram walk to go and get bits for tea, chasseur with some potatoes and veg, and buy no treats. Will do 10,000 steps.
Drink loads of water to fill me up and hydrate myself as I haven't been doing too well at that lately either.
And no chocolate

Weight this morning 11 stone 1lb

Day two of calorie counting and after sitting in sports day freezing cold. Then shopping for a school trip. My meal plan went out the window and I ate half a pizza and 6 chicken nuggets 😞

NoHeavenNoMore · 28/06/2022 19:40

Welcome, all! Happy to have some company and good luck with your journeys 🍀

Good day today, been sticking to my meal plan and 10,962 steps today. Was 11 stone this morning and I blame the weekend myself!!

Can I join! I've reduced my calorie intake from about 2000 to roughly 1600. It seems to have worked, down 4lbs in 2 weeks. I can't exercise much because of small children (that never sleep!).

I have a young child too (10 months) and also find exercise impossible! We walk a lot during the day. I'd love to rejoin a gym but it won't happen because my evenings are taken up with other things.. I try the whole 'exercise at home' thing but I just can't make it work for me? So I might have to try calorie deficit too

I need to join too. I weigh 11st 13 and it's making me miserable. I have also eat far too many take aways, cakes etc and have reduced my exercise to zero! Time for change. My happy weight is 10st 4. Started calorie counting yesterday on the lose it app.

This sounds so much like me!! I'm off to download this app now Smile

Has anyone tried intermittent fasting?

OP posts:
NoHeavenNoMore · 29/06/2022 19:58

I have started using the Lose it! app instead of WW. I'm thinking because it's new to me maybe it'll keep me appealed for a bit longer. Also giving intermittent fasting a go but just starting with 8-8 fast as I'm hoping that will cut out my biscuits and chocolate of an evening.

11 stone still this morning and only 8,805 steps today as the weather has been terrible! Will definitely be moving more tomorrow as I'm due to be out of the house all day. No snacks today, just 3 meals, and according to the app I'm on 1331 calories for the day - my allowance is 1587.

Hope everyone else has had a good day!!

Something is working! 10 stone 12 this morning 😄 definitely going to stick with the intermittent fasting and calorie counting and see how I get on!

Hi all - reporting for weigh in - I'm down from 11 stone to 10 stone 8 lbs.

But this has been a bit of a cheat as I've had Covid (for the first time) since Monday and I have not been able to eat much at all - without unpleasant consequences if you get my drift.

For excercise I've been lying on the bed and aching a lot Confused

Im hoping for weigh in next week I might put on a teeny amount as that will mean I'm able to eat something. Be careful what you wish for.... not that I wished for Covid but I thought initially "oooo few days off work". Now it's like Day 4 and why am I still feeling crap.

anotherbrewplease · 30/06/2022 06:45

@NoHeavenNoMore well done on your loss! Keep it up - we will weigh in again next week

Oh no! So sorry you've been that poorly 😞 that's awful. I lost 4lb from a sickness bug a few months back... not fun!! Flowers

I'm going to join in too. I had lost a nice bit of weight and got to my ideal target weight, actually a bit lower! But then went off the rails for some reason and put a bit back on. It's fine, I know why I put it on, but now it's time to shift it again!
If anyone interested, I've been using a website called weightlossresources.com and absolutely love it. Its basically just calorie counting and moving yourself a bit, so nothing new- but, the format is great and seems to suit me really well.
It is a paid site, but there is a 24hr free trial (no automatic subscription after that) and I do have a code for a weeks free trial if anyone wants it!

Weight today 9st 11.4lbs
Trying to do 1-2 brisk walks daily ,(will never be a gym person!) Been on a walk today and will try for another later! WLR links to your fitbit too and works out the calories, which does give an incentive to walk more!

anotherbrewplease · 30/06/2022 19:10

@NoHeavenNoMore thank you x

NoHeavenNoMore · 30/06/2022 22:31

@Moon22 I might take you up in the offer of the free trial! I'm a bit of a sucker for apps (WW, now Lose It!) plus I'm addicted to my Fitbit and have the Aria scales - hence why I weigh myself every day is anyone was wondering. It's just a habit now!!

Steps today 12,674 and plenty of active minutes. Was under my calorie allowance again. Hope everyone's had a good day today!

Hi @NoHeavenNoMore Trying to pm you but don't seem to be able to? Can you message me?

I've never done it before, I'll be honest I have no idea how to 😳 I'll try logging in to mobile site rather than app x

@NoHeavenNoMore not to worry. I have no idea either. The code for the free week is AHZ822. I absolutely love it and think it's worth every penny. Have a look and see what you think. It's not an app though, it's a website, but very mobile friendly.
I also weigh daily.. works for me! Do you love your aria scales? I just have ordinary scales- but I do have a fitbit. The tracking of food and water links to your fitbit account on WLR too.
Let me know how you get on!

MrsBudd · 03/07/2022 19:18

Well done on the weight losses so far! I've stuck to Slimming World plan for a full week now and will be weighing in the morning, so will update then!

MrsBudd · 04/07/2022 06:46

Last Monday 12 stone 0.4 lbs
Today 11 stone 10 lbs
So I have lost 4.33 pounds 👌
Keep going everyone!

NoHeavenNoMore · 04/07/2022 19:14

Wow @MrsBudd congratulations on your loss, that's fantastic!

I'm afraid I am floundering and floating at 10 stone 12! I haven't been strict enough with myself.
I'll be honest, my partner has been off work poorly this week and last and it's completely thrown my life into disarray (he's fine). I'm just not used to him being around so much and it's got me all out of routine. That's my excuse anyway. Back to normal on Wednesday hopefully!

Have been out working today and did 12,725 steps and was quite active there so in a way I'm looking forward to going back after maternity leave for the extra exercise 😆

Yes I love my Aria scales! Love my Fitbit. Let me know if you want to do some challenges on Fitbit to get our steps up 😃

Please can I join? I'm another one with two small children (getting less small though - 19 months and just turned 4) survived the pandemic by eating chocolate on the sofa with my husband!

I had started to lose baby lockdown weight but it's gone back on and I'm currently 11st 10. My target weight is 9st 7 (which is a size 10/12 for me) but would be happy just getting back down in to 10s!!
