I don't know about it being weights fluid, I hadn't done a workout yesterday only walking, body-pump Sunday and lunchtime today so my weigh in was before that. I'm a sponge clearly. If I see a loss on Friday, I think I'll have to consider focussing on my behaviour & just weigh on Fridays.
Hit my 10,000 steps and just under 1700 cals so decent enough.

Not you are doing everything right it will go the right way 💐

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/08/2022 07:09

Hhhmmm it was very humid yesterday, and day before, could just be on of those things.

still nothing here. hit 15k steps but my feet and hips hurt, no fitness or tracking mojo at all

Not2bObvious · 03/08/2022 07:31

Dunno, only 1 of the 4.8 gain since Friday dropped so my average is moving up again. My body feels broken, I've aches that aren't getting better & I feel so stiff/inflexible all the time, welcome to the later half of my 40's! Thank god I don't have to get weighed at the doctor anytime soon, I'd completely lose the plot if I had to listen to them tell me what I already know.

Morning everyone 😊
Not l don't know what on earth is going on with your weight, it should not be happening . I know it does happen though because l can remember putting on weight when l took up jogging , before my back troubles . I couldn't believe it . l was upping my exercise and gaining weight , it's enough to send you to the cookie jar ! 🙄 Fingers crossed you get a better reading soon 💐
I am wondering if this could be Covid related Life with you having pain in your feet and hips , you can have post viral pain . I know it's a far reach but we don't really know what the after effects of this damn Virus could be .
Wow l am a bit of a Joab's comforter this morning. Let's hope today brings a better day for everyone 💐😊

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/08/2022 09:40

So I have hippy hips already which is made better by exercise. Feet are planner fachist feet. Both made better by exercise but I have less than zero motivation.
it’s definitely post Covid fatigue

no idea not but don’t let it get to you though could it be meno. Thinking happier went through the same and needed mataformin.

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/08/2022 09:41

Maybe try Pilates ?
do as I say not as I do

Gensola · 03/08/2022 10:57

not I was going to say could it be peri menopause?
life I have PF in my feet too and it’s a bloody bugger.
surgery date came through - all lists totally full til 14 Sept but I’m top of the list for any cancellations. Otherwise it will be 14th.
taking the wedding dress to tailor to see if she can add a bit to it or something as can’t face the stress of trying to fit into it or it being uncomfortable all day.

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/08/2022 11:06

Good plan Gen, takes some of the stress off, good to have a date too

Not2bObvious · 03/08/2022 16:55

I'm concerned if it is the peri causing it then how can I fix it? I'm on HRT already😞 Btw, not expecting an answer! Just ranting.
I think getting the dress altered a bit is a great idea, clothes are meant to fit us not the other way around. If you can fix things that might be worrying, really do, you've enough going onFlowers

And to answer my own question, what I need to do is cut my calories lower - that's the bitter pill

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 04/08/2022 07:03

Well yes that is the bitter pill and the hard answer.
it sucks to enjoy food so much.
so I’m going to restart 15 aug when im back to work.
just enjoy my no work and the dc

Not2bObvious · 04/08/2022 08:19

Yeah, I'd hoped dropped to 1800 and sticking to it would help but two weeks in, it looks like it's a gain between the bloats. Up .4 on my average. I'll try drop to 1700 until I go away next Thursday.
What does not being on it look like life? Does it just mean not tracking and eating intuitively or is it holiday mode where you have whatever you fancy.

My scales is broken I suspect I'm about 14st 7, I also want to get to 10st7.
Will get better first, only eating two meals most days since I got Covid and no snacks

Yesterday I was exhausted

I don't like what I see in the mirror, I still like myself don't get me wrong Smile

I think weighing in lbs hides the extent of weight too

So posted this three weeks ago and haven't weighed since.
New scales got delivered while I was away on holidays. I stepped on it tues morning after bank holiday weekend 14st 5.5lbs.
I'm ok with that.
Think I've figured out my Fitbit problem might be the non Fitbit watch face I was using so I'm trying it without that now.

Tues - swimming pool
Wed - long beach walk with bf
Thurs - long beach walk with bff, hopefully another one tonight but different beach
Fri - local 4 mile road walk
Sat - beach walk
Sun - beach walk

Happierwithouthim · 04/08/2022 16:11

Metformin starting again on Monday
I've dinner out Friday night, dinner and drinks Saturday night & Carvery on Sunday and first couple of days can upset my stomach so I'll wait for Monday to start.

I saw an Instagram video of a girl with boob tube and jeans on with tummy bulging over it and then later a slim video with same boob tube and jeans & asking what's the secret? Answer she bought bigger jeans

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/08/2022 20:00

Not beIng on plan is a bit of both tbh,

bigger jeans , ha

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/08/2022 06:48

Actually scrap that. My diet is shit. I don’t eat much but it’s very carb based and not particularly healthy

Not2bObvious · 05/08/2022 07:46

Nice activities happier, good to hear from you. I love walking by the sea, I need to make more of an effort to take drives out to it.
Scales at 170, up 2 on last Friday. Last Friday looks like it was a flux down rather than an actual drop. Got to accept flux works both ways!
Another Friday, another opp to cock up!

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 06/08/2022 16:52

As per usual, Friday food fest! Scales went down nearly a pound today so no immediate upflux. Got my bodypump & c25k done grudgingly, so that's that box ticked. Nearly 8,000 steps & I'd say that's it for the day. Not sure what I'll do tomorrow but I'd like to get min 10,000 steps

Have been MIA but excellent food wise at least because l have been so busy with MumBobs and everything Hmm
Great idea Gen alter the dress a little takes the stress off you sweetheartSmile
Good you have a date for surgery too Flowers
Not could it be the HRT itself? Hmm just your luck sorry lovely Flowers
Life sound slike a good idea to me Flowers
Great plans Happier Smile
Waves to everyone Smile

Not2bObvious · 06/08/2022 22:04

Oh Lordy mrs who knows? I'm so glad you're doing well, good work. You always have my awe, I know a bit of your struggles , as we say in Ireland I'm in the ha'penny place as in I have an idea of what you're experiencing but no real clue. You're too good girl.
If it's the HRT, well... my doctor takes no reason/excuses for weight gain so we're not going down that road. I think my reality is a lot of less calories to see any change. I probably need to stick 1600 with decent exercise daily. Which I can't do 🤷‍♀️ I can do the exercise but I cannot eat at that level daily.
Anyway, I've never stopped tracking in maybe 6/7 years and I've never gone above 12.7'ish or less than 11.5'ish - I suppose that's good in a way. Signing off for a while, frankly sick of it all. Best of luck all, see you in a bit ❤️

Come back when you are ready we will miss you but you need a break Smile
Thank you for your lovely comments too take care Smile

ememem84 · 07/08/2022 08:02

Been Mia. But 15000 steps yesterday. Yay.

on Friday I managed to lose 1.5kg due to a dodgy tummy (think it’s hormonal and pms related - which is a new one on me…)

It’s amazing how clothes do this. I bought slightly bigger jeans. Although my 10’s are snug and the 12’s slightly loose. I suppose I’m an 11…

but high waisted size 12 jeans…win.
