Aldis has 6 X Pink Lady apples on offer at £1.29 this week. I bought 2 packs as my Dd2 loves them , they were an excellent price l thought, hence my heads up ☺️

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 25/07/2022 22:56

Nearly forgot to say about these
Puddings too 🙄

groceries.aldi.co.uk/en-GB/p-brooklea-vanilla-protein-pudding-200g/4088600496665

They are really nice , 99p , 156 kcals per 200g pot with 20g of protein. They do a choc one as well but the Vanilla is the nicest imho. I know how difficult it is to get the protein down sometimes but this is painless and enjoyable lol might be too many Kcals though but thought they were great ☺️

Been for a jog this morning so am 3000 steps up before 7am.

cancelles my gym membership yesterday - after kids finish nursery in august I won’t need to go that way so it won’t be as convenient. Dsis Will let me in on hers with her education dept discount. So £32 instead of £50 for our government run gym. This includes a pool and three locations and all classes. And because it’s my side of the island I can go before work.

Not2bObvious · 26/07/2022 07:34

Out early too so have 7,000 in the bank, nice to start the day ahead. Gym plan sounds good, still mithering over whether to try local gym - it's cheap, close and open from stupid am which might work for me. However it's been so many years, I wouldn't know where to start & I do not want a PT. Whether gyms still offer an induction, I don't know. I suppose I could ring & ask....but I'd have to ring & ask. Ugh

mrs thanks for the tips, my DH loves pink lady apples, they’re his fave and they are expensive so we will be checking those out. Also interested in the protein pudding as I am trying to get protein with every meal and struggling a bit.
em that sounds a good deal with the new gym.
not I’m sure most gyms offer inductions surely, or they’d be liable if you hurt yourself on the machines?
Slept in through my alarm today so running behind. Need eyebrows done after 3 weeks away they are like caterpillars!
rest day from the bike today but will try a body pump and walk later. I’m so stiff from two consecutive days of spin after three weeks of laziness that I can’t walk very well 😂

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 26/07/2022 13:54

AHH you are welcome Gen 😊
Well done on your hard work too that 4lbs will be off before you know it!!
Em great savings re the gym and your steps this morning 😊
I know there will be tempting cake on Thursday with your Dd birthday bless her ! Happy birthday to your darling daughter for Thursday 🎂🎁😊👏
Not glad to see you are feeling much better after the Covid and are doing so well great going lovely 🤗
So busy here l haven't got time to eat lol 😊

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 26/07/2022 13:55

Life hope you are feeling ok lovely 💐

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/07/2022 17:35

I’m feeling meh and eating said feeling and then some

Not2bObvious · 26/07/2022 21:11

Busy bee here, over 15,000 - exhausted now. Hit 1650 cals, leave it there for today.
Might try do the second C25K in the morning, it's only 1 min jog/walk so very doable. See if I can manage a body pump with light weights, scales down to 171 today.
Sorry you're feeling meh lifeFlowers
I might give a pudding a shot, thanks for the recommendation mrs, the high protein yogurts aren't for me. Find the Greek one a bit unpleasant too, I used to tolerate it but last while it's a hard no. Putting a bit of focus into fruit & veg the last week. Nearly getting my 25gr fibre! Woohoo! It can do me no harm I'm sure.

Go for it. Before you get membership work out how many times you’d have to go to get your money back. Make a note of notice period and give it a go. If you can make you’re money back in a month (if pay monthly) it’s a win win.

start easy. Bit of cardio. Then you tube mat work and weights. Book in the odd pt session to give yourself an arse kicking. If necessary.

in bed now. Finishing my day on 13000 ish. Not to bad considering I’ve been in the office all day too.

Not2bObvious · 26/07/2022 22:12

I'm paying €15 a month for Les Mills online, gym would be month to month but there's a reg fee which is a once off. I dunno, I'll ponder a bit more.

4000 steps before 7am. Have been for a run again. From our house down into the valley. And then up the hill. Killer.

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/07/2022 07:19

I’m not as well as I thought as walking to work has nearly killed me.

you will get an induction and should get a program set not. Doesn’t seem like you are bought in. Em is right work out how many times you would actually use it.
I emded up not doing gym but staying home with online

Not2bObvious · 27/07/2022 07:25

I had hoped I might get a drop today but nope, still 171'ish. Funny how some days that would upset me and others it's just information. I haven't decided which today is yet😂

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 27/07/2022 12:47

Decided the scales isn't upsetting me today. Got my jog in, got 30 min body pump done after my mornings work. Relaxing with a cuppa after shower, will make some lunch in a bit. I've nearly 7,000 steps from my jog & walk so only 3,000 to hit my minimum target. Not bad for hump day😊
@Happierwithouthim - how you getting on? Are you better?

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 27/07/2022 22:39

Not the Yogs aren't for everyone l agree ☺️
You sound as if you are doing really well today great stuff! 😊
Life l'm sorry you still don't feel back to normal , it's a devil of a thing. 💐
Em well done on your early morning steps that's brilliant 😊
Busy as per therefore l have been fine thank God 🙏
Waves to everyone 😊

They’ve called a national rail strike on the day of our wedding. Looks like the whole day could be compromised as so many guests and staff at venue rely on trains to get there. Can’t really get my head around it tbh. We can reschedule now and keep our deposits or risk it and lose money. If we weren’t already legally married I’d be inclined to go for it but we are. This was supposed to be the lovely day that was taken from us by covid. My family are all coming from Ireland and using air and rail links. Loads of other guests coming by rail. Venue staff mostly come by rail as parking in the city is so terrible.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/07/2022 08:50

Oh no gen, that’s a nightmare. Take time to process your options

20600 steps yesterday, far too much done
off to Edinburgh today to see a pal. Already called at the nice bakers next to the station and had a fruit scone

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/07/2022 09:42

Honestly I can see the strike going ahead both dates in august, can family change their travel?

Gensola · 28/07/2022 09:48

They’re looking into it - I’m most worried that the venue won’t be able to honour the booking due to staff shortages or staff not being able to get in 😩

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/07/2022 09:56

What have the venue said ? There is a Saturday strike this week surely they must have planned something?

Not2bObvious · 28/07/2022 14:55

Aww gen, what an absolutely sucky situation to be in😔 You must be driven mad trying to think it out. Is doing it the day before or the day after an option of any sort?

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 28/07/2022 14:56

Ignore me for the ridiculous suggestion, I'm a terror for trying to fix stuff that I know nothing about!

Not you were asking about happier. She’s fine just not on MN as much

TheNewlmprovedMrsMadEvans · 28/07/2022 17:22
